  1. Never got the hype regarding 9th by Ra. Most overrated artist, same with Artha and few others. But thats just that ofc our tastes differ. Some people even hate Filteria, even though he is responsible for TRYING to bring the Etnica vibe back and he and Suntrip did so in a most epic way, and that guy is an amazing dude, and master of his craft.
  2. The positive thing, if the setting inside an event is great, soundsystem best in the biz etc, and the artist has perfected production skills, then the reverb that happens in such a locale make tracks like Spaniard absolutely mindblowing. And I was at Amager about 15 times and saw Infected 3 times there. Just cause the soundscape in that locale was truly truly awesome and you were inside the mix. I mean literally. You danced inside of the mix. Such much any true goa fan enjoy, many times in their life Outside has a completely different feel, and is awesome in entirely other ways. Its not necessarily the fact that you are "inside" the mix, but outside of it, and the main enjoyment is dancing and feeling the vibe of others, and all you see are smiles and people dancing like noone is watching - which is of course where you dance at your best. But shy people on the dancefloor, like me, tend to just do the standard two-step trance dance, but if im on the right move, I dont know what the style is called other than just dancing and feeling every melody and beat with the whole body and doing it in synch. Seing poor dancers that dances off beat and out of synch is funny, but I certainly do not look down on them, quite the opposite, Im happy to see them enjoy it too, and dare dance, even if they are not skilled dancers. But the two-step trancedance that I like to call it, almost anyone can do in different ways and is usuallly what you see in a crowd. Exceptions are example when Filteria played Lunar Civilisation at OIG.
  3. correction, I live here, but I grew up in Malmö. Since then Ive traveled and lived in UK for 1 year, Turkey for 3 months, then in sweden: Jönköping, östersund, lysekil, and now Kristianstad. So in a way, I left home in 2007 and Im still not home yet But, for me, home is where I have my PC. I dont hang my hat, i plugin my PC. Then Im home. edit: Solar Fields - Leaving home was a big soundtrack during the time of so much travel. Trains plains and automobiles
  4. I cant stop listening to Mystery of Life. As soon as I hit play, I get all excited on about whats to come. And when its ending, its like a comedown and the replay is like a re-dose.. Similar to the feeling I have for Connect. You just now, instantly, in the first minute - that its going to be EPIC melodies and climaxes coming up. The energetic basslines, completely driving the mix forward in a fast pace - together with the BEST mixed goa trance ever, on par only with Artifact303 - well. That mix is rare. To have both an artist that are skillfull in using production tools like comp and eq - and talent enough to make use of the tools to create such beauty. But its official now, Myster of Life has reached legendary status for me and its even better now, than Wheel of Time, which might or might not be because Ive already heard Wheel of Time so much Im currently "bored" with it, and so happy to have Mystery Of Life as my new "put on repeat" track that I sometimes like to do with really good tracks. I think Im on the 50th play or so, and still, the first minute still brings chills on my arms on what is to come. Nova fractal, how you do it, I dont know. You have an amazing brain there, bro. I DO Hope you re-check the mastering though - as I found the masters sent to me to be sounding great, but had some fundamental errors, like too low soundpressure or RMS (-9db is too low, IMHO, compared to for example Artifact303 - For a Better World - which is still a soft track so to speak, and that has a pressure of -6,8db, which seems to be a sweet spot) , and a bit soft on the high transients. I had to remaster it, to enjoy it properly, and my current RMS is at -4.8, which is too hard, but I tend to enjoy loud masters for some reason - a bad habit, and it would sound alot better at about -6.5db, but yes - PLEASE FIX THIS BEFORE RELEASE.
  5. Ops, how embarassing. Yea perhaps a mod will, Ill ask.
  6. Ive recently learned that there is an active Pro community in HOTS - and I am considering to becoming pro. I already play the game 8h / day - since I started about a week ago - and am soon high enough lvl to start my journey on the Ranked charts, where the game really starts. Since my first video from the game, ive become an absolute killing machine with Li-Ming, have perfected my different builds to match my intended playstyle - sometimes a killshotter, sometimes a Siege dmg doer, and sometimes doing all map chores. Different build for different tactics. There are enough depth in the game mechanics to allow for this and this is a very very well made game, in terms of balance. But I never couldve guessed the Pro scene was that big... Its not on par with SC2 but its still big, and large prize pools. I dont have a job now either, I truly aim on becoming one of the worlds best Li-Mings - so why not? I have the time and the passsion for it, and its a game I genuinely feel I am good at and will in fact become great at. In no doubt I will not rest until Im in the top 10 Hero Leauge for Li-Ming, EU. Ill still have many many hours to go until I hit lvl 30, to be able to start going Ranked - so what will happen then - will decide if my plans will fulfill or fail. I dont see me fail due to getting bored though, but I might fail on not becoming so great that I feel I might. Who knows. Ill try. HOTS has at least, given me a real reason to the idea of going pro, and its a fun concept, Ive never thought about that before. And I have the maturity and experience needed too - since I played Diablo 1, 2, 3 for about 10.000h - extrapulated over the fact that I have 1000+ hours just on the wizard in d3. Add my experience as a Mage in wow, where Ive spent more hours than Id like to admit, Li-Ming just is the absolute definition of what makes a good wizard a good wizard, and Ive ALWAYS selected wizards in games where one is avaliable, as first choice.
  7. I completely agree with that statement F the haters, too! I love to be active in Goatrance right now as it is bigger than ever, and will become even bigger The age of old synths are becoming an age where music production is accessible to mostly ANYONE - which is why we are currently and will be getting, an influx of awesome Goatrance coming from the Globe. Amazing times we live in now!
  8. Sounds like you really enjoy it out there on the grass/dirt, paul I do too Sadly Ive not been to many festivals, but instead many small illegal forest raves with 50-100 people. Talamasca and Infected again, live at Arvika Festivalen, was also EPIC. Was just before Talamasca put out Zodiac - so he teased the crowd with brand new tracks noone had heard before I tried my best to find that liveset online afterwards, but didnt find it. Halloween, IIRC, was played and destroyed me completely so hard I danced haha. Such an amazing track. I might remember it wrong though that this track was not included in that set, as I was on alot of drugs at the time. Actually going to ask him if he saved it cause it was GOOD and he was in perfect mood, dancing like crazy together with the crowd, up there at his table. Truly a party artist that rocks the crowd!!
  9. Yes I look forward to review Earth Crossing as it will be the first time I listen to it in full. Ive heard many of the tracks and I do own the old album, well, "own", so Im going to grab the released album when its out, and review that, and looking forward in hearing what is for me, the best album by Chi-AD even though its not released more so than on digital - and its going to be exciting to see if he has special treats like remixes and such.
  10. Label: Neogoa Release date: Feb 2016 Genre: Psychedelic Trance Style: Goa Tracklist: 01. Klaki on Acid 02. Impossible Astronaut 03. Chloe's Thing 04. Unknown Vibrations ft. Phargua 05. Dimension 5 - Omega Centaurus (Imba Remix) Imba is (seems like, since I dont know him) a great allround guy. Good sense of humour, good taste in music, a talented producer, and has a good post record on psynews - so I reckon Im sure enough about him being an allround good guy. Listening to Imba has been interesting in a special way. From the very beginning of his "career" which just seemed to appear out of thin air - to the now, as a solid, working, recording and performing artist. Its been a pleasure to listen to first attempts that sounded great, to listening to this - a fully fledged top notch goatrance production. He has grown as an artist, in a big way, and very quickly. From a "random guy on psynews that made music" to a prominent and now well-known name in New School Goatrance scene. Okay, that was my introduction of Imba as I see it. Now for the review of the music! This is without a doubt his best work. Im amazed just how much he has grown in his skills. The production is in better quality than ever before, the mixing is quite honestly perfected and now easily recognisable as Imba. Before, the tracks didnt have as much soul. They were good, but not great. Now they are starting to become great. The frist track has a very solid production as said, a very large soundscape, excellent mixing and mastering, and overall good choices in leads and FX. The track itself is a little slow and a little boring, though, as I feel too much focus was given to the sound rather than the music. Impossible Austronaut sounds like nothing before. Awesome! Finally! Kickdrum: AMAZING mixing here. Big transient and deep kick. Very skillful, trust me on that one! Mixing the kickdrum is the hardest part IMO, and the biggest thing in the mix. Track sounds unique enough to not remind much of any other artist - and well, its now written in stone, the sound of Imba. The style of the music is a little bit of nova fractal, innerspace, liquid flow, artifact303 and crossing mind all mixed in a pot. Its a pleasure to now being able to add "the sound of Imba" to the collective consciousness - just as we all know and can identify many of our beloved artists. Chloes Thing is previously released and heard, and is a great party stormer with lots of goastyle 303 goodness. I wont go into too much detail here - but it sounds like both the mixing and the mastering is different from the previous version, and this one is better than the older Some E-Mantra vibes here but still unique enough to not sound like anyone else. Very good job Imba, you have cemented yourself as a true Newschool Goatrance Artist! With his own sound and everything. Its really rare if you think about it. The world has about 8 billion people? Not sure on the exact number. How many people do we have that produce really good Goatrance? Yeah. Its nice to add Imba to the mix now, too. Unknown Vibrations. We're getting deeper now. Its more psychedelic than the other tracks, and alot more serious. We aint playing games anymore. Rock solid goatrance, brand new and fresh approach - doesnt sound recycled or anything like that - its a very very good track, that Im going to play alot in the future, most definately. Favorite of the album. The Omega Centaurus remix is yet another home run! Its better than the original! The original is great but the melody tends to become a bit "funny", and its overall not on any of my favorite lists. However this remix brings the melodies a fresh tuneup - removing the "funny" part, and making the track more serious and real. Im very happy he chose one of the lesser (IMO) tracks from D5 - and not one of the best ones. Overall a great release, and Im positive that the next Imba release will be better than this one. 3.5/5! Not a 4 due to lack of a single masterpiece, although 3,5 is for me still a very good grade. Mastering is great. Nothing stands out and there are no fundamental errors anywhere. Great job from Deimos Soundlabs! The artwork is.. Interesting. First of all, either he listened to me or just thought of the same thing - NEW AND EXCITING FONT/TEXT! Not just the same ol standard font and same ol glow. The "face" is a bit wierd but other than that, its a great coverart I like the idea of the alien in the space-suit. Fun to see Neogoa art becoming better, just like the overall Neo Goa music is becoming better too. I want to personally thank Richpa for the album, so that I could review it, and since it was all my pleasure; a really big thank you, Richpa! Thanks to Imba for the good music and keep em comin, you still have your best work ahead of you Peace!
  11. To recycle a failed topic from the past: For me the most epic moment was when I got eye contact with Erez Eizen when he was about to drop the beat on Sympohonatic, when I saw them live once at the Amager in Copenhagen in the 2000s. It went from Spaniard perfectly into Symphonatic, so for me - that marriage between those two tracks, are the most epic experience Ive had live. Dancing like that is just true happiness and bliss. Second most amazing live experience was when Simon Posford played his live mix of Shamanix. The most underwhelming experience was X-Dream and Astral Projection. AP was sadly, a joke, as they did absolutely nothing to jazz up the croud or improvise their tracks. They felt tired and bored, and I clearly remember hearing an added snaredrum and nothing else, to a version of Dancing Galaxy. But nonetheless, it was still pretty sweet to have seen them live, at least. edit: no discussion regarding what an artist do or not do live is allowed in the thread. Last time that happened people left psynews and shit got real, real quick.
  12. Wow:o Amazing!! Slide has such a crunchy and tweaky amazingly psychedelic sound. Haha its funny he says "cause I used to be in UX" Not sure why but I found that funny. For me Slide WAS UX. That mix is incredible so much material Ive never heard, thanks so much for sharing.
  13. bumping for more exposure my list and the other suggestions are all awesome tracks and is definately an all star list of legendary tracks. keep posting your best melodies of goatrance! (pre new school) all add one not talked about much on psynews! (haha, I just realised Ive mentioned it a few times already , just bound to come up again. from the otherwise mediocre but great sounding Nasha (if that makes sense)
  14. this track always gets me in party vibe! the melody is speaking to me on a deep level and always cherished this track soo much, and absolutely my fav from transwave, and top 20 goa tracks ever. Somewhere in that list:) even more so than lepton head, which transwave made HIS and STOLE from Shakta, cause shakta version SUCKS.
  15. Haha yeah youre right it is actually Deedrah but for me the sound is definately Transwave and not Deeedrah, as his album release sounds very different from the Lepton Head remix which still has the Transwave sound And one of the absolutely best goa trance tracks out there is obviously the lepton head remix, its like, a mandatory track in most old school goa DJ sets. At least I heard it on almost every forest rave I attended in swe during the 2000s
  16. Listening Winds is an absolute amazing piece of work, and you just knew right off the bat that that was going to be a legendary album for the new school genre. Indian Attic is my favorite uptempo track on the album, too
  17. Acid Disco was very interesting Fresh sound, never heard the genre before! Nice choice of samples too, in the track posted by starkraver. Style reminds me of Entheogenic, and some shpongle, with the groovy basslines. However the style in other regards are alot less cheesy and more techy. So this fits me perfectly, as I adore Entheogenic and the groovy basslines like in the track The Square - No limitations.
  18. Drinking the morning coffee and having a splendid day Ive slept like a baby, my body thanks me by releasing massive amounts of endorfins today, so im almost giddy, so happy I am today. And compeletely sober, its truly amazing that after so much toxic stuff i put into my head from the year 1999-2007; it STILL has the power to recover. Even though the recovery took about 5 years and Im just now starting to get my synapses back in working order - It doesnt matter cause all that exists are now, and future, not the past:) Have a wonderful day all, from a sunny Kristianstad and a sunny Kristian, aswell! (the similarity in names are just a coincidence:)) Peace!
  19. what starkraver said khetzal - corolle is top five neogoa ever. a special mention to afgin aswell, his two first albums are amazingly good, and also the EP The Dream Master. The track Shine On ís soooo good and I want to link it here. Right off the bat you are greated with his AP style 303, and well, the rest of the track does NOT disappoint. Its truly a wonder. I just wish the hihats where mixed alot lower. It is however, considered abit on the cheesy side for some - but for me, I LOVE cheese when its done skillfully. Fuck, even holymen had some good tracks, and that is some freaking cheesy nitzo. also would like to add Nova Fractals debut LP cause its amazingly good and on par with a303 and filteria even though its not up there in terms of commercial avaliability and popularity, nova fractal is THE absolute favorite neogoa producer for me.
  20. its great and a very nice way of putting it, ive actually would have needed this like ages ago! nice one
  21. I can understand it completely and most LOL players would probably not play both, either, as there would be no time to be able to perform well in both. Not enough hours on the clock
  22. Wait. What. That sounds like the Pleiadians/Bpc track Antidote Is it some early version with another title? Very wierd and did not know this at 07 min its identical to the antidote track and other moments too.
  23. yall speaking alien now, cause ive no idea who any of the past three suggeestions are Tandu obviously is Oforia, a guy on my "legendary status" list - but the others, no idea. So i just act all-knowing and wise like an Archon - but in reality I know very little and struggle to keep up appearences No. Not really. Ive just had Goatrance "offered" to me in an often organic way. And not necessarily had to "search" for music. By not doing so, some artists, even huge ones, will undoubtedly go below the radar. Besides - during the most important period of Goatrance for me, which was the years 1999-2005 - the years Ive accumulated most my stuff, and actively listened to it, went to raves, went to live performances, what have you - I actively also immediately discarded ANYTHING not old school Goatrance - so Fullon, Psy, etc, never got plays then. So I had to catch up on ALOT of artists - And Vibrasphere didnt even hit my radar until I heard Purple Floating the first time, and was sold. Ap though, was the first artist I truly explored, discovered, and loved. I think I was so satisfied (enough) with Astral Projection and Hallucinogen at that time - that honestly, very little other music got plays during those years of discovery. Not until alot later, artists like Etnica and Transwave became known and cherished. Just a small anectode regarding how one can be so in love with a genre and yet so completely obvlivious to about half of its content. I mean, Im so happy with Nova Fractal right now, I barely see any point in playing anything else than Mystery of Life - when I need that Goatrance fix Luckily though, thats more than a saying, than an actual fact. I do listen to a broad spectrum of styles, but still consder me to know only about half of it. The whole forest and darkpsy scene for example - I know only of Kindzadza and the insane russian. and I do love the insane russian, but its a love/hate relationship. In any regard, while I realise there might be alot of other amazing darkpsy that I too would love - I guess I dont prio it enough to go look for it. Anyway, completely reduntant comment again so it matters not. I just as easily couldve written "bananboat" or something but why not share, why not be honest with my thoughts. I dont really even care if people dont like it. I dont have time for negativitity from the outside world in my life as i bring so much already from within, so its enough for three lifetimes. SO I honestly dont even care. I DO care, though, when Im regarded in a positive way,of course. That naturally makes me feel good as I am still only human afterall, and not some strange construction of wierd and broken synapses with intoxicated neurons passing information. Im just human and have feelings so naturally Im happy if what I say strikes chord with anyone as positive. So I aim for that these days. But I still care way too little, honestly, to even think twice about what I write here anymore. I mean, ive said way too much to go back, so might aswell continue on as that psynwes wierdo that everyone knows and think is mostly on the positive side of the spectrum but also very wierd and theyre happy theyre not me. And Im happy to be that guy. Whatever. Im completely insane to go off like this from nothing and make it something and the only input is my thoughts. I guess that you are witnessing what happens with an otherwise creative and social person - when that person is "forced" to become heavily sedated by anxiolytics, SSRIs, and complete social Isolation. Add 7 years of that ontop of any person, and Im sure you'll end up with a version of me, today. I mean, I am compltely and utterly self-aware of that everything I write is so far off the wall its certifiable - yet I also know its stuff any of us can relate to and stuff we all think about. Just that, everyone has a natural filter inside them , that sorts out all this nonsesnse for them, and handles it nicely just like the way a defragged HDD works more smoothly getting data than an fragmented one. And while I do miss that filter from time to time, to avoid alot of unneccesasry texting, speaking, thinking - it do has a few pluses. aNd i focus on the pluses now, dont have time to dwell on that right now, so much happening IRL and inside my brain its just really all too much but its ok cause I know Ill handle it and itll work out - but damn its OP, and I feel like im just starting out the game thats called Life - only that im like 20 years too late due to the psychiatric disorders and drugs. Ill end here. Also havent slept in three days, so im currently overloading a bit. Would walk a very far distance right now for some xanax or valium :/
