  1. OK, so let me see what u stated.. Hmm.. U have music production skills, fantasy & Creativity & good ears.. OK.. Good for u.. But the question was: what do you think is really necessary to create psy/goa trance? So I was wondering.. How do u do it man? I have production skills, fantasy, creativity, good ears etc.. but I cant do it with only that.. Really how u do it? Do u transmit youre brainwaves directly on vinyl??? Ive heard of telepathy and such but this is too much.. Look it even rhymes.. And about forums flooded with poor guys, wannabes.. I agree with u totally but, just give the guy link and as one minimal techno song goes "cut the shit".. And I dont mean to offence (even I have troubles with english) but you man, have "language disorder".. Whatever that is but I think it has to do something with what I stated on begining of my post.. But who cares, thats just misunderstanding, like the noise on an old tune.. And when goa started they had tape recorders and they cut the tapes and glued it to get a mixtape, on the party there was no vinyls cause the dust would tear the needle apart so they used DATs with no pitch.. So yeah u dont need to have some big studio for production but u need something beside your brainwaves.. But even if u have all those toys what is it worth if u dont know how to use them or if u lack some of attributes InZoMNiAC stated before? I think the most important attribute is strong will.. If u really want it u got it, it just comes to u.. Remember: there are no rules anything is possible, possible, possible (that should sound like delay:)
  2. OK people.. I need u to choose. So most popular soundcard as I see it are: • FireWire 1814 • FireWire 410 • FireWire Audiophile • FireWire Solo • Ozonic • Audiophile 192 • Audiophile 2496 • Delta 1010 • Delta 1010LT • Delta 66 • Delta 44 • Black Box • Ozone®* • Mobile Pre USB • Fast Track™ USB • Transit® • Marian Marc 4 midi And my choices are this: • Delta 1010LT • Audiophile 192 • Audiophile 2496. • Marian Marc 4 midi Till now I have 2 soundcards on board, some 5.1 channel Holywood or something shitty like that.. That was good for mixing and production when I tweaked my computer to its best performance.. But now when I bought synth I need MIDI IN/OUT PCI card.. So what do u think about choices I made, which is the best?? Will it serve me good?
  3. Well if no one wont I will help the poor guy.. How can u be so selfish, share a little.. PLUR, this and that, remember.. Here is some link for u poor guy, u will make a hit after this and become famous.. Maybe it wont be psy/goa but trance fo sho.. Youll rock the charts and the girls will scream when they hear your name, thats what u wont right? Or if u wonna go underground you will have to play a little with this tutorial but at least u got the basics.. How to make trance music with reason - explained in pdf And dont ask why its the Reason tutorial.. Im subconciously telling u to switch to Reason, thats all..
  4. What Ganesha? Its NOT Ganeshas prayer what are u talking about, where did u get that? Did u go to the link and find out? It means: I offer my respectful obeisances unto His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is very dear to Lord Krishna, having taken shelter at His lotus feet. Our respectful obeisances are unto you, O spiritual master, servant of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami. You are kindly preaching the message of Lord Caitanya deva and delivering the Western countries, which are filled with impersonalism and voidism. And whats that about electric universe? does he use this prayer in a song? Do u have that song?
  5. Help ID this track Frankie goes to holywood - Power of love in trance version and if u have it please send it to me.. Im searching for it too long..
  6. Spiritual is this u making carnage on microKorg? Dont let your gf near micro.. As for atropa, yeah I didnt used knobs nor the Ion, but I can read what others are thinking.. And decide from sum of opinions.. I knew that it doesnt have knobs, but like u said most of them are there but I didnt bought it cause of the knobs, I will buy M-Audio Axiom in future to go with the Micron so there will be station for knobs, sliders and pads.. I even thinked about that Novation stuff without key, just knobs, sliders and faders.. Then when u combine that u got a powerfull tool, isnt it? For now I dont need knobs.. Atropa can x, y, z knobs be programed? I think they can and if they can what do u wont more? Only with, m2 and pitch yesterday I made some sounds that top class old school goa producers used in their songs back in old days.. I just couldnt belive it, it sounded almost exactly, just a little more tweaking and voila..
  7. I wont even comment carnage, its not worth it.. Just READ the REVIEW HERE and HERE IS ANOTHER IMPORTANT ONE and u will know what Im talking about from person far more experienced than some on this forum.. Alesis Micron IS analog modeling keyboard and HAS MUCH WARMER, TRUER ANALOG SOUND than microKORG Yesterday I played with it and I tried to get some old school goa sounds, and I tell u, they were almost identical with the sound I wanted, just needs a little more tweeking.. ANOTHER GREAT REVIEW HERE I qouote from one review: "There are filters galore on offer here, 20 different types in all, many are nearly exact replicas of filters from Moog, ARP, Oberheim, and Roland. I've owned both and aside from the more intelligible vocoder in the microKORG(I doubt this cause Micron has 40 band vocoder and microKorg 8 band so its up to your logic and common sense to decide) and the ability to run on batteries, there's simply no comparison. The Micron bests the microKORG with decent full size synth action keys (not the best I've ever experienced, but far from the worst), and a much warmer, truer analog sound." I think its clear choice, but u choose.. U know who to blaim if u bring your microKorg home and your girlfriend says to you: What is that ugly thing?
  8. OK, here it is.. File has 136 Mb 128 kb 22050 Hz Start your download HERE
  9. Hehe, good question.. Mostly good equipment is sold to buy a better one.. Its not usual that expensive equipment will be broken or something.. But u never know so watch out..
  10. To start I want to say that I'm using the words "Psychedelic Trance" and "Goa-Trance" for the same kind of music! But what really is Goa-Trance? Because Goa-Trance came out of New Beat, Gothic, New Wave, Industrial, Electro, Detroit & Psychedelic Rock it has an unique sound that is more complicated as the most modern Electronic dance music! I can't give you a definition of Psychedelic Trance simply because there's NO definition!! But I can give You some typical things of Goa-Trance : -The time of a track is generally around 8'30", but can be between 6'00" and 12'00" ... sometimes more, sometimes under 6'00" (especially on mixed compilations), but too short tracks are generally hard to get into. -The beat is generally 4/4 and around 135-150 BPM ... sometimes less, rarely more! -In the music there's a constant use of strange and psychedelic sounds, and that gives a strange atmosphere. Sometimes those sounds are frogs, barking dogs, crying baby's but mostly you can't describe it... You simply have to hear it!! Also used are the famous acid or 303 sounds, and even guitars, who drive people completely crazy! -Most Goa (but NOT all) is also very melodic. -The music is mostly very full on, good to dance... -The basslines are mostly harder and deeper as from normal Trance or Techno. -The combination of all those things make this music very good for dancing, tripping and listening...! So like you see Psychedelic Trance is something different. Before I end this it's maybe good to know the explanation of some terms used in English for some kinds of Goa-Trance: "Nizhonot" = The cheesy, pretty simple and happy Goa-trance, the most famous Nizhonot producer is Holy Men "Minimalistic Trance" = A rather new and progressive style, it's made out of a hard bassline, with only a few but well chosen Psychedelic sounds, very good to dance! Famous artists are Intact Instinct, Son Kite, Die Sonne,... "Morning Trance" = The melodic dream-trance, it's good to dance during a sunrise and after... And mostly the melodies are really touching! For example: Yahel, MFG, Shidapu, Hyperion,... "Psychedelic Ambient" = This is the softer Psychedelic Trance, great for chilling or listening at home when you're tired.
  11. I agree with elysium.. But u shouldnt be so hard.. A little advice for start would be usefull but the rest is all about experimenting.. Long ago my friend comes, sits in front of computer, opens FL and in two seconds makes that ultra/pumping/groovy psy bass and I only know that he used Wasp.. He didnt tell me the secret still.. So dont expect some huge help on the forums, use youre imagination.. You can go to isra, there is many topic like this.. Isra-trance, mother of all basslines thread
  12. My toy has some sound of Jupiter 8.. Sounds good.. But I ll always respect Jupiter 8000, there is one project with that name, really good trance music..
  13. Its really easy to program, no matter what the people say, its my first synth and I already managed it, so.. Less is more.. lol Cant wait to get home to start jamming on it.. Extract from review: Summing up is easy. The Micron sounds fabulous; rich, lush, powerful, warm... everything you would hope for. Equally, it can be harsh, dirty or percussive. It is compact, solidly made and has more programming potential than anything this tiny has a right to. At the price, it's almost too good to be true. When I first started it bass program that was active was TB or not TB? I couldnt get my self to stop laughing.. My precious..
  14. Man, thats a LOT of help.. I would kiss u if u were a woman.. lol Thanks man for life.. There is still good people around.. Life is good.. lol See how small thing can make a man happy? Its not the fckn dll, I can live without him, its not my heart or something.. Its intention that matters..
  15. Oh man I suck big time, total loser.. Eskimo has one good song that I used in ma mix.. I was lucky I cant watch the video, so I just seen some pictures of him grabbing his nuts.. That guy really sucks.. And about that skazi nazi hail hail.. I think people who worship any human as an idol are suckers, if anyone deserves worship its God and when people actally worship God others watch them and criticize and laugh.. That is the sadest thing in life, how some shitty dj or some football star or pop star or somethink can get greater gratitude than God.. It sucks big time.. People are very limited these days and will be more in the future.. Osy trance should open peoples minds not close.. Shitty ass eskimo, Ill never mix it again, same to skazi.. A fuck, Im so pissed right now.. Where is that golden days of goa, I want that back.. Argh.. Have u seen Darren Schambala playing live? I think its even worse than this, he has one guy who dances beside him and "turning the atmosphere up".. But the music is good actually.. Money makes the world go down
  16. Hm, I think that java applet was for some VST.. Actually I dont know what did I install just that it is java something.. But cubase works fine dispite of that, it just send error message every time it loads..
  17. What? Cant belive that.. Ill ask him/her..
  18. Miranda rocks, but there is that girl from NY and she spins some kind of minimal techno mixed with trance sounds, and its really trippy music, good for journey.. I dont have any sets of she but I listened her live and she is babe fo sho.. Lori the HI-FI princess
  19. Yeah, my thingie has 8 voices.. I must get those sysex patches from Ion.. Moog is cool but Little phatty is cooler.. THX for decision, I know it was hard to choose.. They are all great devices and if I had the money all of them would be in my setup but for now micron will do his tricks.. Till I pay my bank credit for it.. lol.. Its expensive but still less than Virus B.. So I choosed analog..
  20. Yeah, might be.. I installed some java applet recently, maybe thats it.. I will uninstal it.. THX Rez
  21. I watched it one time live and the guy is psycho, he bend down, I thought he will pick up vinyl but he picked water bucket and splashed the people with it.. The music he plays is real trippy, like his CD cover shows..
