  2. This old Goa track is from the Matsuri LPs, one of the best tracks to be found there. Still, i don't know its name... here is the link: http://rghost.net/5200137 Anyone knows that track?
  3. Its in the release text already. Its a Liveact CD not the original Untold Stories, where no wavs exist anymore.
  4. Lost Buddha - Untold Stories Tracklist: 1. Transfiguration (Anti-gravity Mix) (8:30) 2. Lost in a Crystal Sphere (7:49) 3. Psyramid (Live Mix) (7:26) 4. Tabernacle (7:14) 5. When the Universe Was Created (6:41) 6. Southern Oracle (9:24) 7. Ataraxia (8:56) 8. Lost in Paradise (6:55) 9. Mysteries of the Women (8:03) Release text: Lost Buddha is a Goatrance project by Filipe Santos, on which he worked in the years 2004-2007. It was then updated in sound and later productions were released under the alias Amithaba Buddha. The first release was Metamorphosis on the Suntrip Records Compilation Apsara in 2005. Some free releases followed. A full length album was planned to be released on Suntrip Records, but it never materialized. Later, all data files were lost and it seemed there would never be a Lost Buddha album. But a Liveact backup CD was found which contained the original files, and so Phototropic Records is very proud to finally present Lost Buddhas Untold Stories. Expect some very spiritual, beautiful and powerful music, whose traces can still be found in Filipes later projects.
  5. This cover was made by a professional artist with a really strong portfolio. He is just not a "psychedelic" artist, and i like that. Just like the music, its different, not bad
  6. It was never officially released there, just announced. Also, wav files of that one have been lost so it cannot be released anymore.
  7. Its the 1st Lost Buddha album and also the only one, not the second
  8. Its WAV. Its not the original Untold Stories (where no wav exists anymore), but a Liveact Backup CD that Filipe found. And i like the tracks even better than the original Untold Stories...
  9. Sound quality is horrible... Sharp and almost no bass at all I got the E-Mantra track as demo in its original form and it sounds much better than the "mastered" version. I really don't know why such sound gets released.. don't those guys listen to their CDs before releasing them? Because of that its a failed release for me just like the Ultiva stuff. Also, i don't think that this kind of release makes the newschool scene look very professional from the outside.

  15. I don't think re-releasing of old albums will pay off. New stuff hardly makes any profit so pressing old stuff on CD will not work. What could be done is re-mastering old releases and releasing them online or as small scale CD-R release. Another problem is that while new artists are happy to be released and get some promotion without much of financial interests, most old artist still think there is lots of money in the goa scene so they will ask ridiculous prices for stuff that will not earn any money at all. Anyway, if any of you guys makes contact with some old artists and gets the original tracks and covers and a reasonable agreement on payment i'll be happy to remaster it and release it on Phototropic. So if you are super-interested in re-releasing old albums get your ass moving and start searching and contacting old artists!
  16. I finally gave it a longer listening today: Its a good selection of Artha tracks, and an Artha album really was about time! The mastering is VERY loud, maybe the loudest release of 2010, there is too much treble (with 2db less it sounds fine), but generally it fits the style: Better have it in this way, otherwise it could sound too distant and weak. Its intense music with intense sound
  17. I can sense some kind of label war here, with comparisons with suntrip too in this thread. But this is not whats happening in the scene, so far each label has its own style: Suntrip: Leans towards Filteria style music (which is quite undefineable for me, newschool for sure) Phototropic: Bright Goatrance Cronomi: Dark Goatrance Sita, Ezel Ebed: Leans towards Nitzhonot So every label has its own style so calling something good or bad just reflects personal preferences and says nothing about the quality of the music. It needs two labels of the same style to compare quality, but so far no such labels exist.
  18. Many people asked so here is some info about the 2nd Amithaba buddha album. It will be released sometime in the future. Tracklist: 1. The Ritual Begins (Intro) 2. Ankh 3. Dancing With the Winds 4. Psychic Curse 5. Trip to Kuros 6. Eye Can See You (Original Mix) 7. Regain Control 8. Myself in the Mirror 9. The Alpha & Omega 10. Exhumed 11. A Blessing Journey more infos will be posted as they emerge...
  19. sexy herr harald :D

  20. Ok i gave it a listen now... musically i require more listening (first impression is good) but soundwise something is wrong, i guess its the mastering: whenever the beat or some major instrument sets in volume instantly goes down, wich makes this moment sound weak and powerless. That way lots of powerful moments have been killed. Edit: After more listening, i find that mastering really sucks. Weak bass, melodies so sharp they hurt in the ear, this is horrible!
