I wish I could mix upbeat music better, it's something I'm working on. My problem is that I don't really like beat matching as I find a continuous flow of music with no variety in the rhythm quite boring. I like to stop & start & have sudden changes. This is what I've been going for without too much success. I am trying for a short(ish) mix though so here is my work in progress. Some of it goes really well (for my taste) some not so much Bamboo Forest - Voyager  Sienis - Phinary being the worst culprit. The rest is alright. Tracklist 1. Death Snare Pussies - Pussy Whipped 2. Principles Of Flight - A Heavy Responsibility 3. Deviant Species - A Night To Dismember 4. EvsY - High On Heels 5. The Green Nuns Of The Revolution - Thunder Thighs 6. Bamboo Forest - Voyager 7. Sienis - Phinary 8. Sattel Battle - Fuck It 9. Reality Pixie - Phloem Of TLSG 10. Cydonia - Haunted World 11. Koxbox - Searching For Psychoactive Herbs Link
  4. Still waiting for the new album. Have recently been playing Nighttime Lullabies a lot again & still really really enjoy it.
  5. Principles Of Flight - A Heavy Responsibility A mix of Fullon and D&B with classical & dark ambient influences. An excellent track from an excellent album. The bassline may not be the most exciting & original ever used but the atmosphere is sublimely original (to me). It really gives the feel like I'm in the woods of some fairy tale, a dark one & I'm running from something. Excellent throughout.
  6. The Green Nuns Of The Revolution - Thunder Thighs Gotta love the Green Nuns :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  7. I have high hopes for the new album by Ishq & Pan Electric
  8. Click for Info I'm sure all of you are familiar with Ishq of whom I am a big fan but I also really enjoyed last year's release from Pan Electric, Concious Pilot so I am really looking forward to this album. Released November 7th :posford:
  9. Must be every track ay? Np Koxbox - Searching For Psychoactive Herbs Would be great to hear at chinese new year with all those colours in the street party all around, the costumes, the dragons & all the colourful decorations would be great.
  10. I'm scared just at the thought of it I have been wondering about this, Electrypnose can be hit and miss but his hits are usually great :clapping:
  11. I miss just a few tracks from everyone's lists May try some slightly altered ones this week though
  12. Death Snare Pussies - Pussy Whipped
  13. Koxbox - Searching For Psychoactive Herbs
  14. I think you are confusing things a little bit here radi. You like many different melodies in a track but not everyone does. Do you also think that a track with no melody is just made by someone is not good enough to make melodies? You must know that's not true don't you? I find unmelodious tracks more entrancing & hypnotic & although I do like melodies I prefer one melody worked well throughout a track than a load of melodies. I could say that an artist that has to bring in more melodies just can't vary the one melody enough to keep it interesting. But then I would be thinking that my taste is what music it is all about, which I don't.
  15. 1. V/A - Opus Iridium 2. Filteria - Heliopolis 3. Khetzal - Corolle 4. Dimension 5 - Transdimensional 5. Ka-Sol - Fairytale 6. Filteria - Sky Input 7. V/A - Aspara 8. V/A - Twist Dreams 9. Ra - 9th 10. Goasia - From Other Spaces
  16. I haven't met anyone outside of a psy party that would even recognise those names to be honest. I'm sure they are more famous in Europe but those aren't exactly Goa Shpongle is something completely apart, even my dad knows shpongle There is much more in the chill out genre that appeals to more non goa fans I think.
  17. The Circular Ruins - Degrees of Seperation
  18. Well there are 0 famous tracks! Ask a non goa fan if (s)he knows hallucinogen & they'll just stare blankly at you. I have a lot of friends that are heavily into EDM but if you mention artists like Hallucinogen, Astral Projection, Jaia, MFG, Etnica or Pleiadians they have no idea who they are. But there are many tracks that are well known to goa fans. I think what you consider famous is what you know right?
  19. You could try looking at his avatar though, the Goa-Head series was an excellent series at least the first ones. Also check out Transient's early releases.
  20. I think there is a few more than 300 known tracks, commonly known to Goa fans anyway there is much more than 300.
  21. For me Oxycanta is better than this one. I found H.U.V.A. Network, a collaboration of Aes Dana & Solar Fields to be a little disappointing. It doesn't reach the heights of either artist!
  22. I'm feeling a little John Peel like 1. Robert Rich & B. Lustmord - Synergistic Perceptions 2. Atrium Carceri - Red Stains 3. Robert Davies - Sunken Garden 4. Legiac - Dide Skin 5. The Circular Ruins - Darkness Between Them 6. Juxta Phona & Off The Sky - Death Dubs Us Art 7. Cydonia - Narco Nympho 8. Kino Oko - Colors Of Black 9. Sienis - Watt Duh Heck?! 10. Off The Sky - Of Acids And Angels 11. Spielerei & Mantacoup - Cuba Crisis 12. Holst - Mars, The Bringer Of War 13. Principles Of Flight - Sorcerer's Theme/Strange Woods 14. Tristan vs A Green Nun - Babel Fish 15. Orbit Constructions - Lost Spider 16. Evan Marc + Steve Hillage - Delta Phase 17. Plastikman - FUK 18. Kino Oko - Messiah Formula 19. Waki - Hotaru 20. Nalepa - Porcelain 21. Squaremeat - Queen Of The Night 22. Artifakt - Male 23. Western Rebel Alliance - Duke It! 24. Global Communication - 8:07
