Firstly, Id like to say this is the weakest of Shulman's albums (yes, I'm being negative again, maybe I should suffer the same fate as Cinos and be banned for 12 months and sent into exile) but it's not a bad CD. I'll listen to it tonight and come back with my favourite three tracks.

It should be mandatory to post such a thread every day in my opinion, but hey, that's just me.. and I'm jaded.

Though psy trance continues to gain in popularity, I can't help feeling it's rotting from the core out. It's been this way since the turn of the millenium in my opinion and it's getting worse each year, bit by bit, the heart and soul of the scene is withering and dying, and all that's left is what you see. Some people will disagree ofcourse, and say the music's better than it's ever been, the parties are better than they've ever been, the vibe is excellent, but I wager few of them were into goa/psy during the mid 90's.

Techno, house, progressive, the're all side dishes compared to goa trance in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more. It's easily one of my favourite psy tunes and screams with passion and emotion. Forget so-called forest psy and what's become accepted as dark psy, this is real dark psy in the truest sense of the word. Twisted themselves sum it up best, when they say - This is our heartfelt response to the general lack of any discernable feeling in trance music today. we have sweated blood and worked our fingers to the bone in order to present these two tracks of incredible beauty and psychedelic warmth that catapult the listener into the next dimension of sonic ecstacy and ensure total dancefloor mayhem every time or your money back!!! but seriously: beast combines the inventive spatial-techno style of process with the luxurious production and immaculate structuring that only hallucinogen can deliver. we at twisted firmly believe that this ep is our strongest to date and is merely a hint of what is to come. minimal techno has an important role to play and we are aware of this, but this release is an example of just what is possible when real musicians pull out all the stops to produce the most advanced music available.

I use a high-end Sugden system with balanced connections and Proac Future speakers, both hand-made in England. I'm not a materialistic person but I do love my hi-fi.
