  1. Well, this week I received V/A Relaxed Journeys (Chill Tribe Records) compilation back from pressing): http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ctr/ctr1cd002.html ...which was definately a highlight of the autumn for me... From BNE, I received this: Echotek - Changing Frames http://www.discogs.com/release/792194 (not too impressed though)
  2. Thanks guys! It's allready out on psyshop!: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ctr/ctr1cd002.html
  3. Hi V/A Relaxed Journeys should be in the shops on monday... It took a bit longer than expected with the pressing, but now it's on the way to the shops....
  4. Yes. Thanks for an honest opinion. Fingers crossed for the next release...
  5. Ahaha! Funny thread! Thanks a lot for making this day more fun!
  6. I didn't like the latest releases by Amorphous Androgynous either, and especially not the live show I saw of them in Sweden a couple of years ago... Still, the Tales Of Ephidrina album from 1993 is a good classic if you ask me... http://www.discogs.com/release/1719
  7. Totally agree! Old FSOL and Amorphous stuff is excellent! I wish they were still producing stuff like this...! Anyway, what they made back then is "timeless" stuff that I still play often... Even in my chill dj sets.
  8. I don't read so much on the forum, so i don't know what that was about... Anyway, it probably depends which scene he was talking about...? Maybe the trance scene? He is still producing beautiful music though... No matter what scene he is in or what his believes are... Ambient/downbeat is the "scene" I was talking about...
  9. His new ambient/downbeat project is called Wombat... Album on the way on Chill Tribe Records...
  10. One of my worst buys was on ebay a few years ago... I bought three releases (all Flying Rhino releases), and when I received them, it was only the CDs, without the cover!!! I should definately have read the item descriptions better... Lesson learned! The music was great though...
  11. A few years ago, Morocco was my guess for the "new Goa".... A few years after, I see there has been a few festivals etc there, but it still can't be called the "new Goa"... I guess you are right, that it's all spread around the world now, and that it is on the global psytrance festivals you still can find some of that old "goa spirit", even though the music is totally changed...
  12. Latest arrivals: -Offworld - Another Planet (Creation Records 1996) http://www.discogs.com/release/99254 -Aspen - Are You That Retail Snob? (Surgery Records) http://www.discogs.com/release/5589
  13. Hi! I haven't read through all the incoming info in the topic, but I just want to inform that Chill Tribe Records have some albums in the planning too. One album by Kris Kylven & Syb-Sonic, which is the solo ambient project by Kris Kylven, most known as UX, Syb Unity Nettwerk, Eon Project etc). It's nice to have this "oldschooler" back in bussines... Some more info about the project can be found here: http://www.myspace.com/kriskylvensybsonic Also an album by Wombat is nearly finished. This is the new name Elysium uses for his ambient/downbeat project... I know this could fit well in the promotional topic too, but I hope this could be some interesting info for the readers here aswell... More info: http://www.chilltriberecords.com
  14. Woow, that's hard critics Snapinho! But I respect that we have different opinions. I hope you will like the fortcoming release on Chill Tribe better.. Styles and artists will vary from release to release, so there is still hope... Thanks again for all the feedback people! All the best! PKS (Chill Tribe Records)
  15. I have no idea... I stay away from Chemical Crew releases... Let's hope it's a different version...
  16. Ok people, here is the people behind the tracks on the next Koxbox album U-Turn: 1. Frank E & Pini 2. Frank E, Dado (Deedrah) & Christof (Absolum) 3. Frank E, Joie and Merv (Eat Static) 4. Frank E & Christof (Absolum) 5. Frank E & Mino Vaknin (Mïno) 6. Frank E & Dado (Deedrah) 7. Frank E & Ian Ion 8. Frank E & Ian Ion 9. Frank E, Ian Ion & Xavier
  17. You are slightly wrong here... Ian is involved in at least three of the tracks on this album I think. Still, those three tracks might have been created a while ago... This album is full of collaborations with other artists too. One with Merv Pepler (Eat Static). One with Xavier Morel. I don't remember all the artists involved at the moment, but I will check the details I have at home...
  18. Thanks again for all the kind words guys!!! It makes it all worth the hard work... The new Chill Tribe site is finally finished and online! Check: http://www.chilltriberecords.com Enjoy!
  19. I don't know what was the "best" technically etc, but some of my best live concert memories has been: -KoxBox live in Oslo, Norway (1997 I think) -Toirés live in Morocco 2001 (perfect place and fantastic live show) -Total Eclipse live at Sola Luna, Greece 2001) (all their old classics..) -Jaïa live at Samothraki Dance Festival, Greece 2002 -Orbital live at Arvika festival (Sweden 2002) -Juno Reactor live at Arvika festival, Sweden 2006
  20. Yes I know, and I'm deeply sorry about that... The site was made by a friend who has had way too little time to update this summer, but now we have finally made a new site, which will be ready this week! Including new soundclips, links and more information... I will let you know here as soon as it's online...
  21. Hi! Thanks for all the positive words! Sound clips are out on Arabesque: http://arabesque.co.uk//index.php?option=c...d=538&Itemid=20 Most of the tracks will be played in my 4 hour set at the Boom festival in Portugal tomorrow evening... PKS
  22. Thanks for all the kinds words!!! As on the first one, it includes an eight page booklet with pictures and info about all the artists...
  23. Chill Tribe Records (Norway) is back with a second compilation full of well known producers of ambient/dub/chillout music. Compiled by PKS, the tracks are firmly handpicked from highly talented musicians from around the globe, giving us ten beautiful journeys of deep ambient, dubby beats, atmospheric vibes and tribal influences. It includes an eight page booklet with info and pictures of each artist.... The compilation will be released in end of August/beginning of September, and link to sound clips and cover art will be added soon. V/A Relaxed Journeys (Chill Tribe Records) 2006 (CTRCD02) 1. Altitudes – Altitude II 2. Nada – Earthgarden (Jong Remix) 3. Adham Shaikh – Indu 4. Digitalis – Noodles 5. Jong – Unexplored Depths 6. Makyo – Nothing Is Real (Sensual Mix) 7. Solar Quest – Tokers Dream (Remix) 8. EldarLife – Gone Gong 9. Circular – Ambulo 10. Saafi Brothers – Multiverse -Altitudes (Blue Planet Corporation & Jaïa) is now joined by Johannes Regnier (Silicon Sound!). Opening the compilation with a beautiful atmospheric track… -Nada’s (Abakus & Humph) Earthgarden track is a real classic, here given new life by French artist Jong, who is also doing remixing for Toires these days+ several tracks for various labels. -Adham Shaikh is our master in relaxed tribal music, here with another masterpiece influenced by sanskrit mantra. -Digitalis aka Seb Taylor aka Shakta aka Kaya Project aka Angel Tears etc needs no introduction. Here we get another beautiful track by this pioneer. -Jong (Jonathan Garnier) is a fresh artist fron Paris, France who blew us away with his demo arriving the Chill Tribe Records office. His tracks will also be seen on Liquid Sound Design and Hoots Recordings etc. in the near future, aswell as remixes of Toires etc. He has mostly been producing music for TV series and TV commercials, but is finally showing his talent for the music listeners. -Makyo running Dakini Records in Japan does it the relaxed, tribal way as always, here with a fantastic sensual mix of his Nothing Is Real track. -Solar Quest from the UK is another pioneer we are very happy to welcome on this compilation. He was famous for his acid techno releases in the early 90’s, and his ambient classics, which are still sought after albums today. -EldarLife is also the man behind PhasePhour. EldarLife is his downbeat/ambient project, which we will also see on Chillcode Records later this year. An album is also on the way. -Norwegian ambient pioneers Circular has released several albums during the 90’s on labels that should be familiar for all Biosphere fans. They have also released a track on Interchill. Here they show us again how to do it the deep way… -The compilation finishes with a new Saafi Brothers track (Gabriel Le Mar and Michael Kohlbecker), which should be the perfect relaxed finishing journey. Another group we are proud of joining us. More info soon at: http://www.chilltriberecords.com
  24. Yes, I have been hunting for it for many years too, being outbid again and again on ebay. But, finally! I can relax about this one...
  25. Hi there Pleiadians is just two people now, Max Lanfranconi and Maurizio Begotti, just like in their Etnica project... I talked to Max and Maurizio a couple of months ago, and they told me that lately they have mostly been working on their new Pleiadians album... And yes, it is a psytrance album. They told me it will probably be released in autumn, because it was almost finished when I talked with them... I have no idea about the quality though, but they have definately changed a lot since their previous Pleiadians albums. And that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, considering that the group consists of half as many people as in the old days... PKS
