Norwegian Chill Tribe Records is back with a new album, this time with super talent Ian Ion from Denmark, most known for groundbreaking projects such as KoxBox, Saiko-Pod, The Overlords, as well as other noted bands such as Conamore, Sri hari, Epoptika and Russia Heat. To My Future Past Ian has been a recording artist for over twenty years, exploring two decades of electronic music in many forms. He has kept an innovative spirit alive with tremendous success within many areas of the music industry, including producing, programming, composing, djing, engineering, mastering, teaching, consulting work, visuals, promotion and sales, besides touring all around the world. He has also worked behind the scenes for Sony Playstation, Roskilde Festival, Bang & Olufsen, Denmark's Radio, TC Electronic, The Danish Music Academy to name a few. Here he gives us his first ever solo ambient album, selecting the fruits of ambient works from the past ten years, exploring deep journeys into sound and experimental creativity. This project was first seeded at the Roskilde Festival in 1998, when he was asked to serve a one hour soundscape for their octaphonic sound system at D-Day. The project has grown from there, and is now finally available for the listeners worldwide. 12. Is have everything in my opinion, that's why I released it on my label: Wombatmusic - Shameful Silence (Chill Tribe Records 2007) http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ctr/ctr1cd004.html
  13. Ok, everybody seemes to love the Dub Connection track/A LOT of posts about his music, and no one mention his WOMBATMUSIC album!!??? He released an entire ambient album this year! Wombatmusic - Shameful Silence (Chill Tribe Records 2007) all tracks by Kristian Thinning aka ELYSIUM http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ctr/ctr1cd004.html http://www.discogs.com/artist/Wombatmusic
  14. Hi. Yes, I have got them (had to!). I don't have time to write reviews now, and I haven't listened to them enough yet to do so. Anyway, from what I have heard so far, it sounds really good. But you have to enjoy a bit experimental ambient stuff to like it, which I love... With other words, there isn't any "hit" material here, but plain quality/creative electronic music from the "golden years" of FSOL... Some of it might sound a little bit outdated today, but comparing it to all the tons of crap music being released everywhere these days, this IS gold in my ears... At least for those of us who miss certain sound pictures of ambient from the "old days". So, if you have been a big fan of FSOL all the way, I would say these three pieces of plastic is a must have in your collecion... I will for sure enjoy these three CDs on repeat in the weeks to come, and let them grow on me. This kind of music needs a bit time to really sink in. PKS
  15. Finally I bought the latest FSOL albums... 3 pieces of Gold! Never released before... Fantastic! http://www.discogs.com/release/997603 http://www.discogs.com/release/997605 http://www.discogs.com/release/997606
  16. Now you can vote for Polyploid as Sunset track of the week on Pathaans show on BBC radio: http://www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork/pathaans...haw/index.shtml

  18. Yes.... Huge emotional value.... Anyway, his choice...
  19. Don't forget his excellent downbeat project Kris Kylven & Syb-Sonic: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Kris+Kylven+%26+Syb-Sonic :drama:
  20. It got killed by a guy named Pirate Mp3s.... Last time is saw it, it drowned slowly into a soup of melodic full on and copy paste music, but Chill Tribe managed to get a couple of drops of it into it's "bottle" (discography)...., before it disappeared completly... Anyway, I'm glad some of you still support! Thanks for a good taste and support Insejn!
  21. If I remember right, Mark Allen sold his Goa vinyl collection on Ebay a couple of years ago... A bit sad, thinking of how many fantastic parties he rocked with those vinyls back in the days. But, life goes on and people find new paths...
  22. Thanks for a "spot on" review MattMan! Here is the track list: Polyploid - Grow Your Own (CTRCD05) Chill Tribe Records 2007 Release date: August 2007 1. Polyploid – Space Boxing 2. Polyploid – Unlimited Weapons 3. Polyploid – Nought Ark 4. Bunker Din – A Pocket Epic 5. Polyploid vs. Deviant Electronics – Salmon Shandy 6. Polyploid – Bishop’s Song 7. Polyploid vs. Deviant Electronics – Trick Dust 8. Polyploid – Triumph Of Reason 9. Missed Cannon – Three-Quarter Tortoise 10. Polyploid – Just Pray 11. Polyploid – Wishful Thinking
  23. Probably not in the near future. He works with making music for video games. He has made music for Prisoners Of War, Battalion Wars (Nintendo), SingStar Rocks etc. People need food on the table... which releasing albums doesn't bring (at least not in this scene, judging by the sales statements I receive...) So for now, enjoy what you get on the Polyploid album :posford: It's a bit sad really, that people don't buy this kind of music anymore, since I use a lot of time, money and energy to to get it out... Chill Tribe releases is like something everybody "has", but almost no one bought... Any rich people out there who enjoy what Chill Tribe do and would like to sponsor us? Please take contact so we can fill the pool with more quality stuff.... :drama: I usually don't hang out where the champain and cigars are flowing, so I rarely meet those dollar smiles out there.... I will play the lottery AGAIN, tomorrow. Who knows....
  24. Hi! Thanks for caring! YES, you support the Blessed Comfort Center boys and girls Orphanage by buying from the big internet shops too (no downloading available though..). All the shops buy from the same distributor... Thanks for the support!
