Ciaran Walsh (Deviant Electronics) don't have any plans for a new album at the moment, because he is busy with other things; making music for games + kid/family etc. But, hopefully one day, we will see him back on Chill Tribe Records... I just uploaded a couple of tracks he made with Polyploid (which will be on the Polyploid album) on my myspace: http://www.myspace.com/chilltriberecords

  7. Polyploid - Grow Your Own (CTRCD05) Chill Tribe Records 2007 Release date: August 2007 1. Polyploid – Space Boxing 2. Polyploid – Unlimited Weapons 3. Polyploid – Nought Ark 4. Bunker Din – A Pocket Epic 5. Polyploid vs. Deviant Electronics – Salmon Shandy 6. Polyploid – Bishop’s Song 7. Polyploid vs. Deviant Electronics – Trick Dust 8. Polyploid – Triumph Of Reason 9. Missed Cannon – Three-Quarter Tortoise 10. Polyploid – Just Pray 11. Polyploid – Wishful Thinking Chris Gannon from the UK is back with a new album, this time exploring the chilled side of break beats. Polyploid was a familiar name in the global Goa trance scene in the mid nineties, when he was releasing vinyls and an album (Touch Proof) on Intruder Records, besides tracks on compilations on various labels such as Mazzo, Kickin, Chaos Unlimited and Polygram. He also had a few side projects such as Immobilon and Slender Fungus, besides running Helix Records. In this period he also made several groups with Ciaran Walsh, most known as Deviant Electronics, who has participated on three of the tracks on this album. They were releasing music as MOK Systems, Breach Of Space and Bunker Din on Symbiosis Records and M.E.L.T. On this album he serves eleven refreshing tracks with beautiful melodies, experimental sound pictures, break beats and ambient, including tons of creativity. Also noticable is his collaborations with Deviant Electronics, including one track where we get percussion by South African musician Mabi Thobejane, known from Amampondo and Juno Reactor. All the profits from this album will go to the Blessed Comfort Center boys and girls Orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania, to help children with HIV and aids. Check out the Chill Tribe sites for more info soon: http://www.myspace.com/chilltriberecords http://www.chilltriberecords.com
  8. In my opinion, even if those unreleased didn't reach the standard of other tracks by Slinky Wizard back in the days, I'm sure those tracks sounds a million times better than most of the psytrance being released today, so it's no problem with me... I'm ready for more Slinky tunes no matter what.....! :posford: :posford: :posford: :posford: :clapping:
  9. 1. Chill Tribe Records (offcourse..... 3 more albums on the way before the year is over... Almost like seeing Blue Room Released back in business, at least the Blue Room artists...) http://www.myspace.com/chilltriberecords 2. Twisted Records/Backroom Beats (except for their latest two releases on Twisted, but more interesting stuff is on the way... :clapping: ) 3. Dakini Records (doesn't release much, but when they do, it's always great)
  10. Yes, the first Kiwa album: http://www.discogs.com/release/59617 ...is simply fantastic. I love it! I wish more artists dared to go that direction. Pure psychedelic mixture of breaks and trance, experimental and challenging all the way filled with trippy sounds. An album that will never sound outdated... I wish Kiwa did more of that style, and maybe they will with the Headphonics project? Hope so... Anyway, the progressive trance they serve these days isn't bad either, compared to most progressive trance, but again, it's miles away from their first album... Talented guys for sure...
  11. To be honest, i almost got tears in my eyes of nostalgia when listening to this... Nothing to be ashamed of, is it? It really reminds me of the good "old days", and it really prooves that 99.9% of todays psytrance is just pure garbage compared to this... If you have collected all the Flying Rhino releases, this is not a "must have", but if you haven't got them, you have no choice but to grab this one.... It brings me right into the mood I miss to be in todays dancefloors... :posford:
  12. I was treated very well when I played at Voov experience... But now they have new organizers, who I don't know anything about... I also think those who organized the Samothraki Dance festivals where professional... I was also treated well at the Boom festival last year; picked up at the airport, driven all the way to the stage, cold drinks while I played 4 hours and driven back to the airport, all in a smooth way...
  13. I need to listen more since I just received it, but first impression is pretty good. Groovy progressive trance with a funky touch, like the latest Kiwa album... There is tons of boring progressive trance out there, but some people seems to manage to give it an extra spicy touch in an interesting way, which Kiwa and Highpersonic Whomen does... As usual, a lot of interesting sounds from the suomi gang.. :posford:
  14. I think the album needs to grow on you a little, a least that's how it was for me... Listening to it from beginning to end as a journey give me positive surprises every time... It's so much variation and creativity in it that it takes time to sink in... Something for every taste I guess, a bit for those who want it tribal, a bit for those who want floating ambient, a bit for those who like synth pop influenced chill etc. It needs open minded music taste I guess..., which I guess I have... :drama:
  15. I received the new Highpersonic Whomen album...: http://www.discogs.com/release/992652 +the new Cosmosis album and a Banco De Gaia live DVD.... http://www.discogs.com/release/993843
  16. Nice collections everone! Interesting to see how you have put your collections. Personally, I went out and bought a few pieces of wood a few years ago, and built my own cd shelf/wall... Some carpenter work had to be done, because I couldn't find any shelf that had space for all the cds. The one I built rooms about 2500 cds. I will try to take a picture of it when I get my camera together.. Anyway, here is the list: http://www.discogs.com/user/PKS
  17. This news saved my day too.... :posford: For sure something to look forward to!
  18. Maybe I shouldn't be allowed to say my opinion about this album, since I'm the guy who decided to release it on Chill Tribe... But anyway, it's my true opinion about the music, and after collecting electronic music for 17 years now, I feel like expressing it. First time I skipped from track to track on this album to get a fast opinion on what it sounded like, I didn't get so much out of either. Then I listened to this album the way it is "supposed to" be listened to... From beginning to end, as all the tracks hangs together as a long journey... That's when I finally "got it"... Saying that this is just another random ethnic thing is just plain wrong... It's a journey where we get to explore so many different styles, moods, feelings sounds and "colours"..! From the tribal beginning that brings me right into the mood of old Elysium classics, to synth riffs that reminds me of some edm stuff in a chilled way, beautiful ambient melodies in Future Society, pop influences and melancholic vibes... I think that with this album, Kristian Thinning really show in every way what a huge musical talent he is. And the more times I listen to this journey from beginning to end, the better it gets, at least in my head..., which for me is a sign of quality (not just in one ear and out the other chill pop hit...). So, I would recommend to listen to it from beginning to end a few times (in the right moments), and I'm sure it will grow on many of you, just like it did on me... It's the most experimental album I have heard this year, and also a reason for me to release this. Timeless music that will continue grow on me at least. This might seem like selfish promotion to some of you, but it's just my true opinion... After all, Kristian Thinning don't earn anything on this album, and not me as a label either.... It's all done to get some good experimental music out to those who cares for it, aswell as doing a good cause for the CHILDREN in Lebanon... I'm sure Kristian has some "enemies" on forums here and there, as he is a guy with strong opinions and don't back off from a good discussion about things he cares about, but despite disagreeing with some of his opinions, it's not fair to mix it with your actual opinion in music... Enjoy your journeys! Thank you for your time... PKS

  23. First artist album on Chill Tribe Records is done by no other than Kristian Thinning Andersen, a veteran in the electronic music scene, most known as Elysium, as well as other projects such as Kaaya with Paul Jackson, Kailash with Tsuyoshi Suzuki, Sheyba with Jean Borelli (Orion) etc. He has been a recording artist since 1992, releasing on labels such as R&S, KK/Nova Zembla, Dragonfly, Flying Rhino, BNE and Avatar Records to name a few. Here he is back with his new project called Wombatmusic, giving us a beautiful journey into the relaxed side of electronic music, exploring various styles such as chillout, electro, techno, ethnic world music, funk, disco, tribal etc. A melting pot of influences that make his music unpredictable and hard to categorise. All income from the CD sales goes uncut to the support of the Lebanese refugee children in Lebanon. Release date: 27th Of April 2007 Wombatmusic – Shameful Silence (Chill Tribe Records) CTRCD04 1. World Travelling Eclipse Chasers 2. A Poem Of Hope 3. Artificial Earth Satellite 4. 96 + A Few Seconds 5. Time Zones 6. Future Society 7. You Are On My Mind 8. Copalectrocabana 9. Why Not? 10. Shimmering Madness And Hovering Butterflies 11. Shameful Silence I 12. Shameful Silence II “When I saw the amount of dead, suffering and destruction the current conflict with Israel generated in Lebanon I instantly knew I could not stay silent and knew I had to do something to raise my voice to what I see as a violation of all Human Rights laws. I was in the middle of recording my new downbeat/electronica CD and decided to donate all the sales to a Lebanese Benefit Organisation that focus on the Children. Children are always those who suffer the most. They get scars for life and can not as us adults rationalise the events. They are those who loose their parents and those who's future is most affected. I believe artists have a very powerful voice through music. With music and lyrics we can make people think and care. And most of all wanting to change things! It is our obligation to raise our voices if we feel we have something to say.” Shops: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ctr/ctr1cd004.html http://www.saikosounds.com/english/show_la...sp?label_id=650 Wombatmusic: http://www.myspace.com/wombatmusic http://www.wombatmusic.eu http://www.wombatmusic.eu/releases/rel_flyer.jpg http://www.downbeats.eu Red Cross: http://www.dm.net.lb/redcross Chill Tribe Records: http://www.myspace.com/chilltriberecords http://www.chilltriberecords.com Distribution http://arabesque.co.uk//index.php?option=c...Itemid=99999999
