I can't pick one. I have two. The first: People Can Fly. A cool journey through the classic Astral sound with a wicked sample, beautiful melody, and everything else. That album was my second goa CD, and it fuckin rocks, and it will always have special place in my heart. For similar reasons, I must also choose Dancing Galaxy which is also unreal, a song I have heard countless times, both high and sober, and it's just so good words don't really do it justice.

This is a must have, pure and simple. You basically get Blue Energy and extra tracks. Definitely one of my all time favorites. Great goa trance.

Now you've really got me thinking about that book. I remember back after I first read it. It was almost worth reading just for the puzzle factor. I sat there racking my brain trying to figure out how this guy ever got it published in the first place. How could anyone read it and think it was good, or had anything new to offer, or was based on any genuine genius type insight? Totally baffling. I've read philosophical books that I didn't agree with, but I had respect for the author. I could still see where he/she was coming from and why it might appeal to some, but NOT the Celestine prophecy. It reads like it was written by a 10 year old. TRASH!

This is going to sound terrible, and I'm normally not a harsh person, but... The Celestine Prophecy is the biggest piece of derivative trash I ever had the misfortune to lay eyes on. How anyone can think this book is worth reading is beyond me. People told me about this book and I was ready for something life changing, truely revolutionary. Hah! What a joke.

Yeah, Bionic Bong is wicked.

I hope you have your flame-retardent underwear on

I downloaded it from a website that is no longer there? Weird. I don't know where else to get it. Hey what is that song? The first one. It's very good.

I agree. When I wait for an order, I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve. When it comes to the door, I'm like the same kid on Christmas morning, tearing it open with wild abandon. I love those days. I need to get a job soon so I can ordering more stuff. Doh!

There is not doubt that trance is expected and, to a certain extent, meant to be mixed. In my earlier post I said: "I can understand why house music or techo is often mixed on CD's, becuase the music is made to be mixed." I should have said: "...is made exclusively to be mixed." Whereas Psytrance is also made so that each track can stand on its own. That's why I think it's fair to say Psytrance is expected to be mixed in certain situations, and it's party made with that in mind, but it's not exclusively made to be mixed like some other genres.

Good call on the Atmos track Mike!

I like it. It's not their best album that's for sure, but great for lending, or putting on for the less fanatic. On the whole, I only wish they'd added a third CD with the new tracks on it unmixed. But as mixed CD's go, this is one of the best for me, and I don't like mixed CD's so that's saying something.

I can understand why house music or techo is often mixed on CD's, becuase the music is made to be mixed. The whole tracks themselves frequently start and end with like 30 seconds of just beats with maybe a sound or two. That's dull to listen so of course it's mixed. But with Psytrance, most tracks are a complete thing in and of themselves. They have an intro, development, a peak(s), maybe some more, and an outro. If they are mixed down to 4 or 5 minutes, you miss all that cool stuff. Plus, it's rare that I like every single song on a CD (mixed or not). Then I have to start a few tracks in or skip a song here and there and it sounds terrible on a mixed CD, because you basically jump into the middle of the mix. Also, mixed CD's are useless for DJing. They are equally useless for burning your own compliations. Basically they suck in my book, and I avoid them at all costs, unless I'm sure I'll like the whole thing, or if the album comes with a second CD unmixed. It has nothing to do with what's cool or not.

I don't know if I am crazy, but I'll tell you...there are times at night (mostly when I'm high or way too drunk, but not always) when there are crazy thoughts in my mind or I perceive things in a way that seems crazy to me. When I get into that state, I find myself fascinated and horrified at the same time, wondering: "am I crazy?", then realizing it's meaningless to say one or the other. To say you are crazy (or not) is arbitrary. It's the truth that matters. And what is the truth? The truth is that things are what they are. And what are they? They are what they are. It's a simple arguement, an obvious one, a stupid one. This one time I got going about it in a religious studies class during some bullshit presentation I had to do. I got the class so worked up. It was fu-ckin hilarious. People told me right after they were afraid to present because they saw how mad and worked up everyone got (they thought they'd have to go through the same thing). Funny thing is, it never happened again. Some of them were at each other's throats over my meaningless presentation. Some couldn't believe I would say such outrageously obviously stupid things and try to pass it off as a legitimate project. Others were equally outraged that I wasn't left alone to say what I wanted. I ask you: who is crazy? What an adrenaline rush! I sweated through the whole thing. There's nothing more exciting than being yourself and speaking your mind.

I got mine a Saikosounds. They've had it in stock for while. Same thing as what cyber said: "it wasn't cheap but it's worth it." Get it!

I just checked the phonokol website and there is no "trust in trance 4," unless it was very recently released and they just haven't added it to their website yet. As far as I know, they stopped making that series after number 3, which was more of an Astral Projection album anyway, even though it's billed as a compilation on the Israeli release.

Umm, I don't think there is one? Or is there?

onE of Ha, ha don't I feel like an idiot. Doh!

I would buy on OF all of...
-
Yes! I agree with fuzzhead. I would buy one all of them except for radio, cause I already got it.

I could never understand why anybody would ever ask for anyone else's autograph, no matter who they were (rock star, sport hero, DJ, whatever...). What's the point? What do they do with it? I must say that there are some musical artists I'd like to meet, but only to chat with, just to see what they are like. When someone makes what I think is amazing music, I'm always curious. I wonder what kind of person they are, but just as a curiousity thing, not to idol worship them.

Two things stand out here: "REAL trance people" & "lots of moderators." Ha, ha...no thanks.

Chi-ad: exit eternity is probably my favorite track by Chi-ad. It's a long very powerful melodic sounding track that you simply must have if you like *goa* trance. Beyond this one song you can expect to find an album full of hits. The only song I can't get into is the astral warriors remix and here its the samples that kill it for me. They are CHEESY. Take the samples out and I'd like this one too. Standout tracks: Bionic Bong, Greece 2000, & Out Here We are Stoned.
