    Jaia

Oh well, I thought so. The reason I asked is that it is nice to have the singles that come between albums in one place, because it is expensive to track down all the tracks on compilations (which I often don't do just becuase it sucks to buy a whole CD for one song). But anyway, good luck with the new album!

    Jaia

I know many people (myself included) look forward to that album. Have you considered doing what you did with Blue Synergy: releasing the new tracks on CD1 and releasing the singles on a second CD? I thought that was just great. I wish more artists would do that.

    Jaia

As I understand it, Jaia was 2 (one from greece and one from france??), and now is one. One of the guys left and the other still makes stuff (the odd track on a comilation) under the Jaia name.
  5. Never had Persian Feta. Kraft singles is crap.
  6. What's the difference between progressive house and club/euro trance??

    Pleiadians ?

Quit it EA, you're makin' me horny... long blonde hair, perky girlie boobies... what's next?
  8. I think I could really like this album without the vocals.
  9. Yeah, I was initially not too thrilled with the new review system (still not totally convinced), but damm, that does not mean the site will or should die. This is still the best all round psytrance site out there that I know of. The lack of reviews on many new CD's is not good, but remember, it used to be that a CD was never reviewed until someone sent it to Children or Mars, which meant some stuff took forever to show up! But still, when it did, there was always at least one review. Bottom line: don't let this site die!
  10. I am not the biggest IM fan, to start with, but I thought their latest EP was interesting. Something a bit different? Psychedelic trance inspired pop music (or perhaps the other way around?).
  11. This online CD shop lists X-dream radio as in stock: http://cdconnection.com I think it's likely that they do have it. I have got some hard to find releases from them before. They don't list things they don't have. As for Etnica, apparently you can buy it in various places in Europe still? You could try E-bay too. But why not just buy the Inpsyde release? Support that label and they may release some of the other stuff we are all looking for but can no longer find.
  12. Well, fair enough. Say what you will about them now, but these guys have produced some great great music. Their music has that wonderful goa sound and spirit that is so blatantly lacking in much of the music produced today. To each their own I guess. (I am not a "minimal hater" by the way.) I personally don't look for or require constant change from an artist just for the sake of it. Evolution is a natural process. It is a response to conditions that lead to gradual change over time. The fact that they haven't jumped on the minimal bandwagon and still sell albums proves that their sound is not dead yet, at least not for some. In the last few years, I have heard 1 (1!) AP track on the dancefloor. That track was Dancing Galaxy and you should have seen the place (the guy threw it on in the middle of some run-of-the-mill full-on trance). I am willing to bet that most of the poeple there (sadly) had never heard that song, and the place went nuts regardless. AP themselves may not have changed at the heart, and I'm glad because they offer something that no one else seems to really provide anymore (in whatever form)... beautiful unplifiting goa trance.
  13. Okay, so then don't buy it. Why do you feel the need to spread the negative vibes about it though? What is it to you if someone enjoys something you don't like as long as it doesn't hurt you? It's almost trendy to slag AP. We've heard this all before. This kind of comment is just as tired and used as their "same sounds" and "same melodies" are.
  14. Wait, here it is: 1. Amen 2. Chaos 3. Infinite justice 4. The nexus 5. Sticks & stones 6. Techno drom 7. 1,000,000 years from today? 8. Anything is possible 9. Heaven?s gate 10. Electric blue
  15. By the way, I'm with you Mike. Lookin' forward to hearing this new AP album. Don't know the track listing, but you only have to wait till October 22 to find out!
  16. Traveller must be too cool for Astral...eh?
  17. Yeah it sucks. Then you can't tell when there are new replies to topics. Surely there must be around this???
  18. Is this that shu-ki guy??
  19. I think it's the idea that everyone is really reacting to. It's the principle underlying the whole album and the way (we assume) it was all put together--in a drug induced rush to make some quick cash. That part turns me off too, but I must admit, I like the cover for the colors. I've always had a soft spot for wildly colorful trippy covers. While I've only heard one of the songs, I must say that the more I think about this, the more I think it's not really a terrible idea. Their mistake was advertising their inspiration. They could have made the same album without the blatant titles and samples, and I bet the response would have been way better.

    Psyclus?

As I recall, Bypass Unit sounds a lot like oldschool goa that never really got much play on this website? If that's right, and if that's the kind of thing you are looking for, try a group called "Psygone" who put out an album called (I think) "Optymistique." To me, their overall sound is quite similar to what I have heard of Bypass Unit.
  21. Well Bugbread, it took me a while to reply, but here goes. I'll start by saying that I admit my post was a little harsh. I apologize for that, and I'm sure you mean well; furthermore, I can't really do anything about this, but I stand by the underlying point I made in my first post. I personally don't like to see all that editing. You said (I'm assuming to me): " I understand that you dislike the concept of editting and would prefer a completely anarchic review section filled with cooking recipes and arguments about Israel and artists sexual preferences. You've made that clear since BEFORE the editting even started." I'm not sure what you're referring to there? But it's not important. Bottom line is: I don't like to see "cooking recipes and arguments about Israel and artists sexual preferences" any more than you do. Nor is it nice to see flame wars or people turning the reviews into a forum, but I think anything else goes (or should go). You seem to have this idea that there is some standard of review that is required from a truely "open/expanded minded" listener, and according to your standards, that must include adjectives. According to you, it's not enough to say "10/10" or "yes" or whatever. But that's my point. Those are your standards, and I personally liked to read everything in a reveiw and get a feel about the album from everything there, including the overall number of positive versus negative comments, even if some of them were simple. Hell, just the fact that a CD had 5000 comments made it at least worth checking out!! Furthermore, the freedom that accompied the site's review sections before (that was admittedly and unfortunately abused by some) also led to a just plain cooler feeling about the reviews (in my opinion). Now you read, and it seems all that is left is mostly (not always, just mostly) a few long long book reviews that sometimes border on pretentious and tedious. Well fine, that's the way it's gonna be, but I don't have to like it, and I'm sure lots of others don't like it either. When I say that, I'm not saying it to start a fight. I'm just saying to state a fact. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one; I think.
  22. Um wow, I just checked the "edited" part of the review section and that really sucks. And you wonder why people don't post reviews anymore? The all new review judging clique is in the house and they will decide who gets to reveiw and who doesn't. You cut so much out there's almost nothing left. That really sucks, I can't say that enough. You didn't just cut the nasty off topic ones, you cut almost everything out. Holy shit the Astral Projection reviews sections are down to like 10 reviews. Boooo.... I understand registering to place a review, but all that editing is shit.
  23. If you are referring to Waveform records, yes! They put out some really good stuff! Their releases vary from very slow truely ambient to ambient dub, trip hop stuff, slow trance, all kinds of cool stuff. Highly reccomended! I have a bunch of their releases.

  25. I head it once and it wasn't that bad, but come on! The original is a classic goa anthem and the remix doesn't even come close to doing it justice.
