  1. http://balder.prohosting.com/psydude/covers.htm Go to that page and you will find. Very large.
  2. Yeah, Mai Mai love it. Shpongle did this to me today while I was watching it rain outside. Or the other day, it was sunny. I was reclining on the deck with a cold beer, listening to Green House Effect on headphones, watching a bee fly around. Suddenly, I was overwhelmed by all of (in a good way)! That time a tear actually rolled down my cheek. It seems to be a combination of the music and everything else in that particular moment.
  3. Umm, her best? Whatever, I appreciate this for what it is. I want an original copy!! Most of these tracks made it on to compilations in the day. These days she gets a licken' for not being cutting edge. Again, whatever. If you want old school goa, look no further, because here it is. Okay already, now re-release it.

    Etnica - Nitrox

This is fucking intense. The chill stuff, is okay. My favorite is the bangin, driving, newer sounding stuff. Influenced by the current trends? Yes, no doubt. But what does that mean? No, it doesn't sound like Alien Protein, and let me say, I love that album. Alien Protein is a masterpiece, and is this? Time will tell. I can only say that the energy of say...nitrox...or, I am the shadow of myself... is unbelievable. You can hear the elements of he old. Many sounds, layered together, with an incredible groove mixed in. Wow. Less blatant melody, that's the revolution or evolution. Relentless!
  5. To: Mr. Jaimz...thanks, and I do hope you will put a link for that on the sight 'cause I really like that feature and I think all online shops should do it, although most don't for some reason. As for the speed of their orders. My last order took a little over a week (to get to western Canada) and I'd say that's average for them for my orders. It's much faster than any other online order I've ever placed (never ordered from psyshop though). I have waited for a much as 3 months from some other places!! Anyway, I checked the the package tracking system on my last saiko order out of curiosity. It arrived in country and was in my city in just over a day. The delay was my country's customs people which evidently felt the need to open my package, as they always seem to do, must be my Al-Qaida conncections
  6. I just checked and Alien Project is in the 140 - 145 bpm range. Maybe too slow? You can find some sample tracks on mp3.com
  7. Hmm, as for suggestions...The first thing that pops into my mind is Talamasca: Musica Divinorum (the whole album). Also Alien Project's album Midinight Sun might be your thing. The following tracks by X-dream: Freak, Electromagnetic, & Telegram. If you like the Delta remix of Stranded then also check out the Delta: As A Child I Could Walk On the Ceiling. I hope that helps. I'm sure there's lots more. 180 bpm!! I don't think there's anything I've heard that fast.
  8. Well the website looks nice. It seems that you can no longer look at the whole catalog at once. I found that very useful.
  9. Why fuckin Not?!! Love that song. Joint O' Clock = a good chill track. "Was he insane?" Another killer, very intense. Like that one too. Psychedelic Knights, that's my story right now : ) Swirly opening, moves to medium tempo, then wango. I like the melody in this one )PK(. The rest? Good and OK. Mostly good. Energetic & full of groovy bounce.
  10. Never heard anything by Eyal. But Miranda? Some hate her music. It seems to be as much a reaction to her being a woman as anything else. I personally love that album, and I think there are many others who would agree. It's beautiful, old school goa. From what I read, Eyal is more into the whole 'nitzo...' (I don't know how to spell it) thing. In my opinion, that is a totally different class of music from what early Miranda is/was.

    Beat Bizarre - Lewd

I like all tracks except for #6 (Error). Favorites: Brain Drain RMX, Funk Fluid, Monochrome, and The New Breed (in that order). I think the style of this album has been well described already, so I won't elaborate. Those of you who won't like this should be able to tell easily from the reveiws. From my point of view, the album does sound very similar throughout. Like all 'minimal' stuff, I have to be in the mood for it. When I am, this really sounds good, especially Brain Drain! : )
  12. Well hoffy, I may just do that, but you're right; it won't be the same, especially not with an album like this.
  13. Hmm, Slidingtrancer is right. "Distorted hiss" is a better way to describe it. Boo...
  14. Dam, that sucks. I used to have the original TIP release which was flawless. I really like the first track and it's all scratchy right at the peak. Hey antic, I noticed it in Youth of the Galaxy too, but it's not nearly as bad which is good because that's another wicked song. That's really shitty that they would release something like that. I'm not impressed.
  15. I heard on the news that it wasn't the puck that caused the death directly. The blow caused her head to snap back (whiplash) and did something to an artery in the neck which clotted and cut off blood to the brain... A rare, unfortunate incident by all accounts.
  16. That was tragic. Apparently, it was an early birthday present from her father. He took her to the game, and then wango! She would have turned 14 today. What a freaky accident. About the God thing, I can only agree. Where is the purpose or justice in that incident, or any other one like it. Mind you, religious people will always have an answer. The true die-hards will go to great lengths to rationalize everything and anything that might contradict their frimly blindly held beliefs (not unlike the rest of us I suppose). I once had a long conversation with a guy handing out Bibles. I raised every single point or arguement I could and he never got mad, but he wasn't the least bit swayed. He had some answer for everything, some passage in the bible usually. He believed and nothing seemingly could change that. Do you know what's funny? Religious people cry at funerals. Why?
  17. Just got a copy of this album on CD (the Twisted release). Just before the 6 minute mark of the first track (let's turn on) the music cuts out for a bit, and this scratchy fuzzy noice takes it's place, then the music comes back clear and the track ends. The CD is new and has no visible flaws. Anybody else notice this on their copy?

    V/A - Psychedelic Vibes 4

Wow. Nice compilation. I bought it to get the Stranded remix which is an awesome guitar track. Brain Forest, Full Mental Jackpot, & Hyperactive are all excellent. I do like Chaos to Order but it has this repetative screachy sound in it that I get tired of. That's probably just me, most people will like it I think. White Poweder is cool. I love the husky voice samples. This one sounds very similar to Z to A's Next Stop Oblivion, which I suppose is hardly surprising : ) "I can feel insects crawling under my skin." Principles of Gravity is okay, definitely listenable, will probably grow on me. I haven't heard the Somaton album, but this track would fit perfectly on Shakta's Silicon Trip album. Subaquatic & Highway are both mellower and softer without being chill-out tracks. Overall, a solid compilation with some awesome songs, some good, and no stinkers. 2 thumbs up!
  20. Hallucinogen -- LSD...needs no explanation Darshan -- Mind Merge "telephathy is not mind reading, it is a direct linking of two nervous systems separated by space, I want you to make a link from your brain to his heart, I want your brain to make his heart...beat faster" and the beat takes off... Cypher -- Dubientish "his world is suddenly filled with action and simplicity...(and so on)...he is in his own blood" I've heard this used elsewhere, but it's used very nicely in the beginning of this song. Cosmosis uses a lot of cool voice samples in various tracks (Dissociation, The Ultimate Sin, Turn On Tune In, & Oceanic are a few that stand out in my mind). MFG also uses a lot of cool voice samples (Peaceful Relaxation, Born into a New Life, Dark Waters, & lots more).
  21. You're right, it's possible to get most things one way or another. Just sometimes, I check the reviews of the EP's as they go by, or I'll see them in a store, and think damm I'd love to throw down 10 bucks and get those two wicked songs and a couple of remixes of them all in on place. On the whole, I suppose CD buyers get better overall selection though. So I'm not complaining, just wondering.
