  1. Review forum is for reviews. I personally don't appreciate 'new-goa' but this is different, a remastered collection of tunes. So I think it deserves it's own separate thread, even if it's the same tunes. It's like if Simon P. released an 'updated' cd of Twisted - would you put that in the old thread? Surely the experience is different to that of the aging late-nineties release.
  2. My tops for the week: 1. Stendeck - The woman who burnt on her bed 2. Proem - Reddings 3. Machine Drum - Stevie Blam Jackson (Reimix by Kettel) 4. Secede - Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic 5. Kettel - Choo Choo India 6. Trentemoller - Take me into your skin 7. Aphex Twin - Rhubarb 8. Yagya - When they stood, they let down their wings 9. Stendeck - Faces (where are you now?) 10. Kattoo - You are so... Also Chicane's Andromeda has been playing a lot recently, it's a smooth piece of work. I'd place that at 11..
  3. Actually I did, it's called Big Brothers Are Gonna Get You - mostly because of the super-distorted pounding drums right at the end of the track, like the giant Man from hell or something. The intro is pretty paranoid and noisy too, hence the name. A bit of an unconventional name, but I like.
  4. Track 8 from my album. :posford:
  5. You lot have some pretty impressive collections! 1. Your total collection number (including everything: cds, vinyls, tapes etc. from every music genre). 190 CDs listed on discogs, though they're probably not all there, let's say it's more like 200 give or take. 2/3/4 - Can't be bothered to go through them. Plus what I might define as some genre might be a totally different genre in somebody else's collection. 5. First Psytrance or Psychill release you bought and when. Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? - circa June 2005 6. Fav Psytrance or Psychill release in your collection. Infected Mushroom - B.P Empire 7. Most important Psytrance or Psychill release in your collection and why. I couldn't honestly say, mostly because I'm moving away from the entire genre. Probably same as #6 because I still love that record. 8. The most rare Psytrance or Psychill in your collection. I got a couple out of print astral projection albums, but they're not really that rare. 9. Albums/Compilations balance. Do the math yourself: http://www.discogs.com/user/amplifly - I think the albums outnumber compilations though! 10. Do you support artists from your country. Do you buy their releases? I buy music I like, regardless of where it's come from and when it's been released. There's so much being produced that it would be hard 'just' to buy UK stuff just because it was UK stuff. Bonus question: Do you download Psy for free? If it's available as free, then yes. If I can get it on CD I will get it on CD. But yes if it's a free download then I'll download it. I don't download CDs I can get from a shop.
  6. Apologies, I don't remember locking this thread. Anyway, it's reopened. Thanks.
  7. In my book he's not God. I'm not lying. You perhaps are lying that the topic is pinned!
  8. Awesome. No seriously, I'm speechless. Amazing work! :posford:
  9. Nothing currently that I'm wanting.. though I may pick up Proem's earlier work from Merck Records, and I'm definitely watching Sending Orbs for those Secede / Kettel releases this year.
  10. If you do that you increase everyone's storage, thus creating more load on the server when people DO decide they want a full inbox. If you can't live without these messages, copy them into Notepad or Word or something. Otherwise delete them.
  11. I'm hoping this new younger brother album is good. Otherwise I'll stick with Proem, Kattoo, Secede, Stendeck, Kettel and any more good (I hate to say IDM) music like that..
  12. Yes, it's the interchill one.
  13. I think I have one of the tracks, wasn't much impressed. Then again most dub can sound very samey, so I'll only like it for home listening when it's different/amazingly done. Definitely can go to a dub party and feel right at home though. As for similar, well I couldn't say really.. though you should pick up V/A Talisman which is very decent.
  14. Yeah, I've been playing it a lot recently and it's bloody brilliant. Understatement of the year, then. :posford:
  15. Looks quite good, though the markup leaves a lot to be desired... Perhaps I can hook you up with a content management system and a faster loading layout? The content could be better organised too, unless that's how you want it! PM me if you're interested.
  16. Kettel Secede Kattoo Altitudes
  17. Other forums would have you banned - I merely gave a warning. Even so, this is still one of the most relaxed forums I have been a member of.
  18. Warns were also given to reger / nemo. And no, I don't warn every time I delete a topic. It might be worth noting that I didn't delete the topics, only locked - can only assume they were set invisible. Bottom line is the forum is not a playground and you have to draw the line somewhere. http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?act=SR&f=2
