  1. I download it and listen to it on my computer while doing other things.
  2. Sometimes cool. Sometimes unsatisfying. Depends on how you listen to it.
  3. Sounds great. I think I'll buy this one.
  4. Can you describe the style of this CD? Suntrip sounds, for the most part, like a modern version of Etnica, with their trademark overly dense soundscapes. Is this more similar to, say, Transwave, with a little breathing space, or is it densely packed like Etnica or (well duh) Filteria?
  5. Thank you man! I used Cubase, but this is mostly audio recordings (to be blamed for the poor timing) from my keyboard with lots of sampled sounds. The only thing I didn't get from that was the bass drum and the guitars at the end which I (obviously) recorded with a guitar. I kind of wanted to escape the quantized feel my songs mostly have, and due to my "skills" I couldn't fail at that.
  6. I made this today. Full of inspiration. Good way to practice guitar (and some keyboard) "skills". http://www.musicuploader.org/MUSIC/4757621205435296.mp3
  7. Hehe. The track was basically just a kick and snare (sampled, unprocessed) as a backing track and a single one-bar acid line. No worries. Just a bit of
  8. Inspirational thoughts, man! :posford: <--- climbing upwards
  9. That's completely insane! I would go mad if a did that. I suppose you went even madder because your songs are actually good. Reminds me a bit of when a project file of mine corrupted. I was lucky enough to have had exported the mixdown a bit prior to that. But I couldn't keep going on the track, so it got a rather dumb ending.
  10. I just did a great automation session with Phoscyon. Just a simple background beat and an acid line through Phoscyon, repeated for about 7 minutes. I had automated step length, cutoff frequency and resonance to get a great, organic sounding acid track. Now I just needed to export the acid line, then process it a bit and arrange the drums and perhaps some pads. I exported the 7 minute squelch fest, but found that somehow, only about 4 bars of said squelch fest were contained in my audio file, the rest being complete silence. When I discovered this, I had just removed Phoscyon, and with it all my precious automation patterns, from the project to save my RAM. That would have been a fucking hit. Ok, I still have the acid line itself there, but to automate 3 parameters, 7 minutes each, again, just to obtain a slightly worse result? That's not in question. I will sit here and be fucking mad. Having a good day?
  11. Nice songs. Much better than Asura's "Life²", which seemed to lack direction for me. I can't really see why you compare them, though, since this is more spacey. To each his own. Nice review, btw! I tend to dislike this kind of reviews, treating the album as a story. But this was well done.
  12. They use their bongos well.
  13. The Herb Garden is rather cheesy. I would prefer his dense, dark and precise trance tracks any day. This is a great album, however. The intro track by Process is especially impressive, with its cold atmosphere and relieving melodic climax!
  14. Oldschool psytrace is the best. Unless it suffers from some bad production (like untight, blurry and overwhelming bass).
  15. Sit for hours and hours trying to make a perfect loop is all I do :posford:
  16. Thanks for this explanation! I downloaded the demo, but how do you make it play the pattern? I don't get any sound out of it. EDIT: no problem, it makes sounds now. Though I don't understand how or why.
  17. Colin: How does the 303 sequencer work compared to regular MIDI?
  18. Krumelur - Minimal Animal (album in general and especially the title track) Prime Time Plastix - Nep-Tune (an overlooked gem)
  19. I've got a folder with lots of percussion that someone sent me. Some ethnic tabla shit there. Not that great quality though.
  20. If good is good then this CD is really. In other words, you have to combine this with some sort of intermittant agent to facilitate its true potentially life changing abilities. Try this in conjunction with several other people, and I think you'll end up disappointed, or very satisfied. That is wholly dependant on your self image. You could argue that self image is all. I like tracks 1, 5 and 11 a lot.
  21. Cool melody. But it needs some more thump to the kick and some razorsharp sounds.

I didn't ever say it's psychedelic, you waste. Feel ashamed and go away from here, now.

It hasn't got an eighties feel. Stop saying that. That's like saying drum'n'bass is eighties. Or saying black metal is fifties. Or saying psytrance is seventies. Just stop. Stop. Please.
