  1. Hehe, I actually think these are really cool. Very original.
  2. Plaid - Rest Proof Clockwork (such a good album...)
  3. Controlled Bleeding - Trang and I (off VA - High Priests of Electronic Dub)
  4. Global Communication - 76:14
  5. Mr. Oizo - Monophonic Shit.
  6. Nice, tox! I like the backside more than the front though... maybe the f®ont is the only thing I'd change. On the back the font is perfect. Good job!
  7. Plaid - Parts in the Post, cd 2 Brilliant remixes. Plaid are the masters of everything cool and dandy. Yes!
  8. i wonder if you can see my comment or ingore applies to comments aswell?

  9. really, I just said we took em to be complete, but that was total stroboscopic epilepsy-inducing madness. back in the day they used to have terror-tunnels... small white tunnels with LOTS of strobes. lot of people used to dig that. not me though!
  10. Na-ah, I di-in't! Read my story on page 1 and you'll see I have my reasons for not liking strobes...
  11. snaap = rigid cunt?
  12. nice one! great album! I recently received... Orbital - Middle of Nowhere Orbital - Snivilisation (yes, yes, building my orbital collection... still waiting for Diversions and Orbital 1 too ) Eat Static - Implant (and waiting for - finally! - Abduction) and last and definitely not least and also finally: Yay!
  13. Like the far-east technology one!
  14. I've had a really really weird collective trip on strobes once. We went to a big old and news party in my city, I believe Artax and Deviant Species were playing, must've been three years ago. Anyway, we had all taken some xtc (but not that much, maybe half a pill) of which none of us felt so much. They had a built a circular structure on which the speakers were hanging, and they also put a lot of strobes there. At one point, some dude was messing with the strobes and the smoke machine and while we were dancing, everything started to fade. The strobes were all pointed inwards, I must add... and we were in the middle of the circle. At first I could see only people's silhouettes, while everything else started to become white, but quite fast everything just turned into white blocks. My whole vision (eyes open or closed) consisted of white squares. I got a little bit scared and all of sudden I though people were talking about me, that I was going bad, so I just stood there and held the person next to me. I couldn't hear shit, couldn't talk to my friends, couldn't move and see a thing, except for white squares. After a wile, gradually the squares started to fade and slowly I could see again... as soon as my vision returned, I ran the fuck away from the front of the party, while my friends followed me. I started to tell what happened and as turned out, they all had the same experience (except for my girlfriend, who was smart enough to walk away the moment she felt it happening). Afterwards I opened a topic about it, but no one else experienced the same... Weird fucking shit, I tell ya! Everybody was quite freaked out for a while, but as soon as we realized we hadn't been spiked, we all calmed down. I've hated strobes for ever since. Today not as much as back in the days, but I still don't really like strobes. Admitted, they're quite the trance-inducer, but not really my cup 'a tea...
  15. *puts topic on ignore* (doesnt Ale fit the description for trolling? his topics aren't provoking discussion, they are just provoking. might as well close the topic, eh? it's not like we have never been down this road before...)
  16. geez, why are people even reacting to topics like these? truly annoying. I think Ale deserves a ban for being a troll.
  17. Yeah! How did I miss this so far? I came back with the idea of opening a poll asking people for their favorite ES Album, Upbeat-track, Chillout-track, Dub-track, Breaks-track and so on... And just to let you guys in on a little secret: last time I played in Amsterdam I played an old Eat Static dubby track... Nemo asked which one it was and when I answered Eat Static, he didn't believe me. Ha! He thought he knew it all, eh? A good friend of mine is possibly the biggest fan of Eat Static out there and he got me infected too. Saw them live once and that was immediately the best live performance of any artist of electronic music I've seen. They rock ass. Seriously. Phenomenal music! Gulf Breeze, Survivors, Abduction, UFO over Trenchtown, whichever. They're the only ones that can use alien samples too. They invented it, they are the whole idea of aliens in psychedelic music. Even in chillout they're amongst my favorite artists... and I haven't even mentioned the Ozrics, Hi-Fi Companions, Dendron, Flexitones, Nodens Ictus. To me, everything they touch turns into gold. I've never heard better usage of samples, more original sounds, freakier atmospheres or emotional music out there. I truly restecp these guys a lot (and thanks guys, I dug out my copy of B-World, which I have some ten years already and which I never really appreciated until recently.) LET THEM EAT STATIC!! (isnt it from StarTrek: the Wrath of Khan?)
  18. I've had it happen to a cd I received from overseas, I believe it was Pole - 3. Broken almost mathematically in halves. But it might have been because the disc was not inside a case but a cardboard sleeve thingy. Still... but the guy was nice enough to split the costs, which was fair enough for me.
  19. Stalker has to be my favorite psynews member. We liek teh Stalk!
  20. ^ what both lumpi and faze said.
  21. Hahahahaha, extremely funny! [edit] it only gets funnier... not only is this amazing musicwise, but you're witty as a witty motherfucker. I've got rhymes rhymes rhymes. Rhymes rhymes. Rhymes rhymes rhymes. "Santa Claus is such a hooomoooooo" and that Jack Black-alike "my favorite color is laser" Dude. Hilarious! actually Laughing Out Loud!
  22. As I said before, nice job! Only small complaint from my side would be the fonts... somehow they don't fit that well. And well, too much text on the backside, but you yourself said it was too much, hehe. Nice one! Especially the fireworks-fractal detail: nice symbolism there!
  23. I like Radi. I don't like his track though. As everybody else has said, the synths are alright, but well, everything just sounds dull and bland, no peaks anywhere and not a crystal sound to be found anywhere. But hey, I'm just a noob too, like everybody else. Btw, it reminds of me telling your dad your mommy told you you can have a cooky and telling the same to your mum. But in the end they always find out! Do you tell people on KBR that people on Psynews love your 'mastering' (I'd call it servant-ing) too? ps: You want contract with any label? [edit1] more and better quotes from that thread: [edit2] [edit3] I'm trying so hard not to burst out in maniacal laughter. This is just too much!
  24. Why not start with the beginning and give'r some Shpongle. Agreed, not the most original, but still very good and accessible. Otherwise: Bluetech? Androcell? Is she into psychedelics? Anywave, Ott or Ooze are very accessible and still topnotch!
