  1. My prophecy: Breakbeat, Industrial and Psytrance will merge into one genre... something like that already exists in form of PsyBreaks but it will become perfectioned in the next years... interprets like Artifakt will be called pioneers of this new movement... atleast I could well imagine that. Look out for it around 2008-2010
  2. Osom - Over Game ... it's just sick. I love it
  3. What about Fungus Funk - Cyberfungus ? I can also suggest the album "Unstable" by Slide
  4. Only ONE track? That's way too difficult... it often changes... at the moment it is Lemurians - Nautic ... (and this is NOT full-on! )
  5. Oh yeah, the start of a set, maybe the most difficult decision to make when mixing... For a darkpsy set imo perfect: Digital Talk - Artificial Beings ... not too furious, yet still definately setting an eerie mood for a set with stuff like Xenomorph later on Minimal Psy: Karavena - Space Infection Full-On: Psytekk - Sonic Pulse
  6. In general I prefer silence but Shpongle - Around the World in a Tea Daze (Ott Remix) was really a great experience :-)
  7. Well, a hallucinogen album first brought me to Goa Trance so te me personally it's something special ... First of all, it's the weak kick and the rythm that's in a way quite atypical for trance music... I think it is mostly atmosphere/buildup/layering that's so exceptional about Posford's tracks. On every single Posford track you can listen to - instantly the music evokes pictures in your mind, hypnotizes you and doesn't become any boring even after thousands of listens.
  8. like I said in the other thread: My "dream quartet" of VST plugin consists of: - Audiorealism Bassline (great for thumping and heavy basslines) - ReFX Vanguard (does most of the synthwork, great in producing metallic Leads, 303's, Gated and Arpeggiated Synths, bassline and FX also) - Linplug Albino (great for wierd Psy FX, this one is a really powerful synth capable of almost everything) - Spectrasonics Atmosphere (sample-based pad- and ambient-synth, great for atmospheric soundscapes - and some very nice pads!)
  9. I just heard one wonderful tune: Synthiak - Arcturus. Now I'm interested if there's any more Psy that's focused on deep space ambience. I know there's much Psy sounding Sci-Fi... but I'm looking for some psy with "dark space ambience" here, you'll know what I mean if you know that tune... thnks in advance
  10. Panning can really make a lot of improvements. You can achieve good panning effects with the free FX-plugin "mda RoundPan". it's not very flexible but very good if you're lazy, needs only a few clicks and there you go
  11. there's still one question to me: Is only the commercial stuff with goofy melodies like Astrix considered full-on or is darker hard in-your-face Psy like Fungus Funk and Kindzadza Full-On, too?
  12. Quirk - Spy vs Spy . is what you need
  13. Arrrrgh, why is here no Process Irreversible? ... Overload is a damn nice tune too so there goes my vote
  14. Will there be a demo or so? Looks indeed very promising, if I could try it out, maybe they'll get me to get it
  15. I meant the design.. Of course I can't just say "it's bad", but I think I just don't like it.. looks a bit muddy and somehow "rusty", but with a kinda strange color composition. Of course that's just my impression, not speaking about quality here ... might just be cuz I'm into other colors... What I wanted to say: That this one wouldn't attract my attention if I saw this in a shop
  16. This album is maybe one of the biggest Goa gems of the last few years! Reminds me indeed much of Pleiadians, waiting for one to follow in their footsteps for a very long time ... super great job, Filteria! ... the only thing criticable is the bad cover
  17. I just recieved the album, and I'm totally impressed by this! Thanks for the great review! Structural failure is indeed the highlight - pure Cybermadness, exactly what I need
  18. Not so much Oldschool but also COSMIC : Xerox - Cosmic Space Buddha - Cosmic Fusion The Nommos - Cosmic Cycles Perplex - Cosmic Sound Cyber Cartel - Cosmic Disorder That's all I found in my playlist
  19. Man with no Name - Cosmic Echoes
  20. Yup, this is definately one of the good compilations. Especially Psyfactor's track is just an insane mindblast! Unfortunately, the other tracks can't hold this standard, but there's still some good DarkPsy in here. I give it 8.5/10
  21. I think I can agree that substance is the most important thing to me. But the only thing to determine your skill and experience with in an objective way are your technical abilities. It's almost the same I'm 'suffering' in Music production. I think the least funny thing about making music is plain EQing and stuff, but it has to be done to make it sound attractive for a larger audience. Even if you are a genius, and have some great ideas, you won't be noticed by many if you don't show you know your business technically.
