  1. As I said I doubt it. I will be tempted to compare them and I guess I will be disappointed. I'm thinking of reading more of Eco's work first anyway.
  2. I haven't read any of his books yet. He was hyped so much that I wasn't interested anymore. I saw the movies though and pretty much liked them. Farfetched yet entertaining. If his books are as good as The name of the rose by Umberto Eco I definitly will like them. But I doubt it. The symbolysm used by Umberto Eco is not to reveal a farfetched conspiracy but to help the story being told. I think the stories of Dan Brown are cheap thrills, easy in wanting to believe in them. It doesn't mean that it's bad though. I guess he is pretty good at what he does. But again, I haven't read him yet.
  3. Stop whining and step thru the looking glass!
  4. All the above are exceptional guitarists in their own right. As a big fan of Fleetwood Mac I have to mention Lindsey Buckingham. Here is an acoustic rendition of Big Love played live. I couldn't find the track from the album The Dance on Youtube which is even better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naAWX6OsHVI Another hero is Junior Marvin from the Wailers(Al Anderson is also a very good one offcourse) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrnxC6etosM One of the best live albums ever imo

    PSYCHOTIC MOVIES

I was anticipating this post skyclan and I'm glad you did. I can understand somewhat what you're saying but this qoute above goes beyond my comprehension. Is it possible to explain this further and dig a little deeper. And what's a psych tech? A psychologist or a psychiatrist cause I never heard of it before. If these movies help you in any way in understanding and therefore helping people with a specific disorder or frailty, and I think you mean psychopaths, please correct me if I'm wrong, or even help in better understanding yourself and others then who can be against that. Please note that I am here to learn and not to justify my views and opinions and thus create bias. I am always willing to change and be as openminded as possible to come to greater knowledge if that's the case.
  6. Still a great solid release after 4 years. None of the tracks annoye me which is great for a V/A release. It strikes me that a lot of the tracks have more depth than other full on, are more subtle arranged while maintaining the groove. Some of these tracks are made to listen on a huge professional sound system and to dance and freak out to. I read on Lucas's myspace he is preparing a follow up. Can't wait...could be even better. I hope he will maintain originality over commerciality.

    PSYCHOTIC MOVIES

Anakoluth, or you took the wrong quote or you didn't understand what Joncrow was saying. He clearly stated he is NOT a fan of these films because of horrific/psychotic imagery used in these films.
  8. Some epic trance from Push...my favourite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8i5s9B6hoAU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5IYq7iUJwc
  9. I was under the impression that you had started this topic but it was Bahamut. I got you both mixed up. I think my impression of the topic is/was the same as yours. Most insane music regardless any genre specifically. I still love the Butthole surfers a lot cause nothing sounds like them. Most of the tracks posted are 20+ years old & still sound fresh. Frank Zappa was a "crazy", as in funny, genius + made some great music so he could fit right in this thread. He didn't like the fact that people called him a "madman" though
  10. Let the cheese-fest begin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OT6XCHiTaY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xs4uJZ5-lY
  11. I'm a sucker for good clubtrance... even with vocals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI7gvYfvHF4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfTHpQ9Yw3A Like it even better when it's mixed though Trance Nation: Harder mixed by Judge Jules(Ministry of Sound) I like especially the first CD
  12. Excuse me, Butthole Surfers are insanely accessible for sane people. As far as rock&roll goes these guys are nuts + they make great music. Together with Ween/Moistboys they kicked rock&roll in the ass my dear friend. You said any genre so I picked rock&roll and I am not gonna argue with what is crazy/insane and what's not. Compairing psytrance with rock&roll is ridiculous, they are 2 totally different genres. I have got the feeling a lot of crazy and insane music is gonna be posted here which will sound boring or crappy to me, no offense, please do so. Nice track from Talpa btw http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEuKiqnnOPM http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=s65uGF6aog0
  13. ...and a classic to top things off http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwknFJpjl9g After hearing this you'll notice everything else sounds pretty square
  14. ...and other goofy ones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9duSZL_-mM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXj-7vKRPQU
  15. Crazy rock&roll requires Butthole Surfers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNAkbbKycCM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG56PPrNf3w Bartender one scotch...one bourbon...and a couple of beers please
  16. I could only find one released track and that's Momentary29 on Twist dreams comp. Where can I find the others? Edit: Just found Speech module on The Filteria remixed release
  17. Let me guess...eagerly anticipating the new album?
  18. Time for some good old drama/fun in this thread 90...is still a kick under your newskool asses 91...is waiting for the new AP which seem to take ages 92...same for MWNN, Hallucinogen,... Don't ban me I'll ban myself
  19. It's been a while since I've seen this film. As far as I remember I enjoyed this one too. Good French action movie! I remember he was banned from some of the movie theatres because of the violence. It's a bloody ACTION movie. Hollywood must have been jealous and used his imperial tentacles to ban this movie. Another conspiracy revealed. Maybe too farfetched. La douce France and his banlieues. Always dynamite. French politicians shitting their pants: What are they gonna do after they watch this film?...I don't know maybe start a riot. Always assuming the worst...typical! I don't know about you but when these riots take place they, the perpetrators, always torch their own cars and vehicles, now that's stupid! Also funny if you think about it. Anyways enjoy the movie!
  20. Hi psyviewers! What's cooking?

  21. is watching you

  22. These tracks(and I only listened to 2 of them already) really takes me back 10+ years ago. Damn this is real quality stuff. Never heard of Red Gravity before. Thanx for posting this. Some tracks are just snippets unfortunatly
  23. Many congrats to you Stéphane for your album being released on DAT records. It's gonna be a killer! I hope you find other label(s) to release your new tracks cause No way wrong and Progenic are great tracks!
  24. I've just bought the new album of The National High Violet Here's a clip from the song Runaway from the new album. Some other clips from their previous album Boxer Slow Show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZDl2xRK_r8&feature=related Brainy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hty5HjRTb7U&feature=related Melancholic, sad stuff. You have to give this band a chance!
  25. Sounds promising. Can we expect more of this in the future like "Temple of chaos part 2"?
