True it was the first album, and IMO you can hear it aswell. The sounds and the crazy ideas aren't fully evolved yet and it has this "raw" sound as you say. I like the work they did on BP and Classical better then their first, exactly because it's not as raw as the first. Now they have gone even further, more comercial and worse imo. Don't like the new stuff at all. Different taste.

In Classical and BP I think every song feels more unique, when listening to gathering I don't get that (as much). I like the melodic touches on Classical & BP, I'm kinda tired of the anonymous pumping psy with no melodies. Those work very well on the dance floor, but I still prefer the other 2 albums. And I disagree, I def think Classical and BP has more original ideas than The Gathering. All IMO.

I am in no way a "psy-snob".. That's just being stupid imo, when there's so much music to love out there.

I'll have to say: 1.) Classical Mushroom 2.) B.P. Empire 3.) The Gathering (not as good as the 2 above imo)

I love this album! As seraph says some songs are "cute".. I love the cyber-organic feeling to the album, soft, warm AND cold with some edge.

Of course. I hadn't heard the original by that time, and I tell you it was a whole different ball game on the dance floor. Obviously the crowd knew the song because they started cheering from the first kickdrum. The atmosphere was tops! As I said I was totally into melodic trance at the time so it was one hell of a experience! The crowd was really good! The smile on Armins face was nice to see.

Cool, I've heard every song you posted there. Good stuff! I remember when me and a friend was in Copenhagen, Club Gorgeous to see Armin van Buuren. Michael Splint opened before Armin and he started out with Airbase - Genie (Michael Splint Vs. F & W Remix). Man, it was intense! And Armin that night. Omg, my memory is like an inferno of feelings. He was so good. Awesome tracks all the time and all of them new ones. It was like in the peak of my meldic trance era, couldn't have been better.

I heard a song with a sample from Salladfingers... Man the crowd went nuts and so did I. It was so unexpected and funny lol. "Hih...hihi..hi. hi I think he likes spoons too!"
