  1. Forget about genres. I really hate the question "which style is it?". I end up with the answer "It's psytrance" in 98% of the cases. 1% I answer "It's chillout". The other 1% I answer "It's some progg/minamal crap". Concentrate on the moment.
  2. Well. The sleve says "Written by Ott / Simon Posford" but also "Programmed, mixed, produced by Ott" so maybe he had a smal impact on the tracks. And he plays the guitar on almost every track. Wether it's not enough to call it a Posford project or not can be discussed.
  3. VA - Rehashed (!!!) VA - Solid Grapes of Wrath & Meteloids - Tits on Fire Deviant Species - In The Hands of The Randomiser I considered to buy Kukan Dub Lagan's album. But now I've heard Ten Madison's new one and I think I'll buy that instead.
  4. The Antidote XV Kilist Three Point Turn Rinkadink OOOD ('Out of Our Own Dimension' if I'm not mistaken - if I am, it sucks) Ghreg on Earth So what about the worst names? Here is a few: Space Cat Space Monkey Silicon Sound Psypilot Eskimo (wtf?!) Alien Project
  5. It varies. I recently bought 'VA - Source' purely because that Fractal Glider track is so damn good! Rest of the CD is so-so. I have pretty high standards. Maybe an average of 6-7 good tracks out of 9. Thanks to mp3 I never end up buying really bad CDs
  6. Holy shit that is good news! 'Rabbit from darkside' is by far the most played CD this year in my stereo. Keep it up.
  7. Rinkadink & Mike Modular \o/ Gotta love that Rinkadink fella 2nd album please
  8. I really don't like his new tracks. His old tracks are so much better imo. I like his tracks on VA - Voice of Madness (which is a very good CD). After that one he got all hyped up and his tracks sounds the same. Too bad.

  10. Now we're talking I'll have to keep my eyes on that one. Interesting indeed.
  11. Why are those CDs concept CDs?
  12. I don't think that a CD with slightly different BPM fits in the category of concept CDs. Not in my world anyway I agree that each project is a concept by itself to some extent. Altho, I don't like to call all the GMS/Astrix/whatever-crap-clones to have a concept of their own. I haven't found many cocept CDs and I am looking. With concept I mean the sound and not BPM, track-names (like 1200 Mics). 'Shpongle - The Remixes' is another good concept CD I wish the labels could put more effort when they are compiling compilations.
  13. 'Infected Mushroom - Classical Mushroom' ofcourse I also think the covers of 'VA - Demented' and 'VA - Dementertainment' are very nice.
  14. I don't see how any artist would like to do the same stuff over again. Some time they just have to want to do something different. After all, they are artists
  15. Why isn't more concept cds released? I mean like 'VA - Mystery of the 13 crystal skulls' where all the tracks have a certain feeling/theme to them. It's kinda hard to explain but if you listen to that cd you'll hear that there is a main theme throughout the whole cd. 'VA - Broken' is another example (maybe not a good example but still) of an excellent concept cd where a more dnb/breakbeat sound is the main theme. Another example is the 'VA - Twelve' cd. I would love to see more of that kind of releases. It's not that hard to come up with ideas. I mean, take some famous artists and let them make a really scary track, viola, we have a dark concept cd Imagine artists like Hallucinongen, Logic Bomb, Ticon, Psysex for example making something they otherwise shouldn't. It would be very cool to hear that. Make an artists make a sound they usually wouldn't make. I'm really sick of the regular VA cd released almost every single day. Your thoughts?
  16. Yea this is definently a must buy album. And oh my I will buy it! And I just don't say that to support you guys
  17. Here are some samples: Sky Input-samples
  18. X-Dream - We Interface Rinkadink - Rabbit From Darkside(!) Miraculix - The Arrival VA - Broken Thats pretty much it.
  19. That track isn't exactly IFO, FOL stuff. But it has an "old sound" to it but without any melodies (wtf?). Let us listen to Head Spin instead
  20. Name: We Interface Artist: X-Dream Label: Solstice Records Tracklist: 01. The 1st 02. We Interface 03. Superintelligence 04. Try To Save Your Song 05. Ultratube 06. Quantum Lab 07. Virus 08. Distresser 09. Slim Drum 10. X-Ray Eyes 11. The 1st (Fluke Remix) X-Dream is back after two years of silence. So what have happend since Irritant? They have kept Irritants basic formula with a kinda minimal dark sound. It's almost closer to electronica/techno then it is to psytrance. It's some kind of mix between psy/techno/electro/whatever. And I must say I love it. The tracks arent long, around 5-6 minutes. But that is all we need because these tracks is exploding with power. This album will probably work 10 times better on the dancefloor then in your home. This is a typical play-as-loud-as-you-can-album Their new member, you know the girl who sings sometimes, is contributing with some nice elements to some of their tracks. If you liked Irritant or have seen them live lately and liked it you will most certainly like this kick-ass album. X-Dream is great! Final Verdict: 9/10
  21. How can you say their production is good when all their new tracks sounds dead, empty and plastic. Altho, that is only my oppinion. One that has very good production is Deedrah. Wooha his music really comes out alive.
  22. How about Broken Toy - The _Zine Family on VA - Firewall (Timecode Records - 2004) Kind of a scary intro. I love Broken Toy
  23. I'm crazy about Miraculix first album Detonator. And I love his second one! So you go ahead and buy his album right away. Track 5 on that ablum is amazing
  24. Their last album you say? Well, I'm ok with that. They are the ones who knows when its best to stop. [unfortunatly Infected didn't know ] Three albums (if third one turns out good) of amazing quility and tracks that can be listened to again and again is not common buy one group. I don't think I will miss them coz they have already acomplished so much. I only hope they will make a fair farewell. Hmm...Don't you have the feeling to stop Sphongle-project after this one feels so right? I have that feeling. Think about it for a minute. The thought of never hearing new stuff from them gets me all excited and I will probably appreciate their albums more now (if that is possible). I hope this is their last one.
