  1. Reality is that you need money up the pocket to re-release old "classics". I doubt anyone want to loose money unless they can afford it. Again reality is very different from dreams.
  2. Who are these organizers? I haven't heard from any of them
  3. Maybe because it's subject "personal taste" and not facts There's too many to mention for me. One thing though. An emotional tracks does not necessary have to a be melodic track.
  4. Not to be a pain in the a** but I still only see 2009 releases included in the Best of 2000-2009 vote. Yet people have still voted only for 2009 releases. Why not shut down that votes until its fair game for all artist involved in releases between 2000-2009? Just a suggestion
  5. All old and new Elysium material is 100% free. So no fancy prices here www.elysiumworld.dk
  6. It means a digital release (no CD release) with: 1 Remix Competition Winner 1 New Sheyba Remix 2 Remixes from established names
  7. Yeah looks like it does BUT there will also be a few agreed remixes by established names (not Goa). All in all we got 8 remixes in so we have dropped the idea of 3 winners as we do not feel the overall quality justify 3 winners. Instead there will be one Winner. There is a few gems though Announcement of the Winner will be published within the next two weeks. Thanks for the artists who participated
  8. We are going to stick to this deadline. We do not only want Goa remixes as this is what we only had so far. We like the remixes to more broad in genres. We'll see how things goes
  9. It's important to tell people as we have had 600+ downloads of the remix package but only 6 remixes uploaded to us. A bit of a let down so far.
  10. Deadline for the "Trance Africa Express" Remix competition is tonight 00:00 (CET+1)
  11. 8 Days to go. Deadline for the "Trance Africa Express" Remix competition is at Midnight (CET+1) April 30. We hope to get many remixes in as we have very few in at this point. So get to work people
  12. Its quite simple. Print 1000+ CD's and loose lots of money. Print 200 and sell the 200 and break even.
  13. You accused Jean Borelli of being rude and that he ruined his career because of that. Yet when asked you failed to provide any documentation backing up your gossip. And when you fail to provide any kind of evidence backing up your harsh accusation you turn it back on me and say I run with gossip here and is dis-informed etc. Please show me where I post gossip on this board and again I ask you to provide evidence that Jean Borelli was rude and ruined his own career. If you want to be taken serious do not accuse people of things they never did!
  14. ehmmm ok? I am a very close and good friend of Jean and he is the most polite kindhearted person I know. And on the contrary he never ruined his career. He had a child, got married and started his own business. By the way - He will soon release a new album on Iboga. Gossip and stupid remarks as usual! Show me where he was rude or be silent Then he better start practice his Beat-mixing or become the laughing stock on the floor. People into Techno would never applause his lack of Beat-mixing skill. On the contrary!
  15. please delete. (double post).
  16. You mean people treat these artists like gods? I know I dont treat them as gods and never would! See this is the essence why this scene has gone wrong (IMO). No one treated anyone as gods in the good old days. It was not about the people behind the music but the music itself. By the way Gil did play quite melodic goa-trance for quite a while back in the days. I have many of his tapes he gave to me in London and they are far from being dark. On another note the guy got no Dj skill at all - One train wreck mix after another killing the flow and making it impossible to get into a state of trance
  17. That is your opinion and not a fact
  18. I am not sure if this was meant as a joke or not? But where does it says that Goa or New Goa or whatever you like to call it has to be fast? Sometimes I really think people of today's scene have no clue!
  19. I like the fact I can use multiple audio samples and create new tracks out of the tunes on the fly making the Dj set unique and much more concentrated on flow control. It's more geared toward a live performance Dj set which is as far as I know only possible using "Live" compared to most other Dj software out there.
  20. All you need is a good sound card with enough line out's for dj'ing and then a nice MacBook + Ableton Live. Then you are set to go!

  22. hmmm I would rather say thanks to the artists who make the music.
  23. Weird it worked when i checked it. I have edited the link and it should work now. If not you can go to www.elysiumworld.dk and on the right side there' a working link.
  24. @ visine Here's the link to paypal. All donations are of course welcome but people enjoying my music is worth much more to me Paypal @ Basilisk I am sure I jinx myself but hey I'm used to it and believe in being honest rather than licking people where the sun never shines My intention with giving away my music was never to get tons of gigs or any other speculative purpose. I just wanted to share my music with the world and believe it's worth a 1000 times more to spread the music than to limit it. But of course I also want to play at gigs as this is where you have a real connection with those who like your music. Nothing beat playing your music "live". And I'm a musician before anything else so it's my passion and in my blood to perform. Where my "chain" jumps off is the lack of interest from the organizers who seem totally uninterested in anything remotely different than the usual artists they book year after year on every event out there (I am sure if I released Elysium on some high profile label i would get more bookings - not because of my name but because I was released by label X). I can live with it. I don't need to earn money from my music anymore but of course it piss me off to having organizer after organizer ignoring me where after they bombard me with spam. I also do not understand how some organizers who do contact me think I will travel a long way, stay for days and get paid Euro 100-150 to play Elysium live. No it's not about the money but hey I'm not an idiot too. I work a full time job every day and if I have to take time off my day job to travel somewhere staying 2-4 days I believe it's worth a little more than 100-150 Euro to experience Elysium live not to mention the time and effort I put into it. And I really see red when I then discover the other artists booked there get Euro 1000-2000. Then I feel taken advantage of. But this has become a rant. All I wanted to say it that I rather give away all my music for free even if I dont see any money from it. At the end of the day making other people happy is worth so much more!
  25. Actually it's 8800 unique downloads + the aprox. 6500 downloads I had from my own website. Of course people can donate if they like (none have at this moment) but my intention was just to share the music. I had hoped it would gain a few bookings but I've only had two offers and one already got canceled. I contacted all festivals and 250+ organizers and I am amazed that not even one has reacted except for bombardments of their weekly event mails (spam). At this point I am not sure if giving away music for free genereate any gigs. I have to see it before I believe it.
