  1. ahhh McM.. They had my "Keep It Cool" as the signature tune for the show for a year or so. cool channel
  2. I have read some of it yes, enough to not bother reading the rest, and the whole point is that the Goa scene was not just made up by a small exclusive circle of Stars but build by a big group of contributing artists, organizers, deco teams etc. Yet when the story is written (by the small circle of stars) they always "forget" to give the many contributors the credit and as usual appoint themselves as they creators of the Goa scene mentioning each other as usual. As I said very predictable.
  3. It's such an old debate really. It's been known for at least the past 3-4 years and debated before. Yet people still use him. No matter how many times it's debated people will still use him as there will always be those who miss the debates and he continue his scam operation like so many other "sharks" in this scene.

  5. Cool and thanks for the great review you did on Shameful Silence
  6. There should be no price at all! It's ripping off people. The new trend made up by Beatport' to make people pay to make a remix is not only greedy. It's a no go! Wrong way to go Iboga.
  7. I never understood why people still bother to even mention them. They have left the scene a long time ago looking for more green pastures in the world of glam/pop/electronic/rock.
  8. I agree but then again it was 2000 and a lot has happened sound wise since then. Just take a listen to how sound has improved drastically since the early 90's, But yes it is kinda flat but that also got to do with very bad mastering from Avatar records. I know they did not do a good mastering job on my releases with them. Especially not with my re-release of "Dance For The Celestial Beings" that sound very flat and way over the top in peak making it distort. But again his original sound is nothing to shout hallelujah about. The same can be said about my early releases Personally I was never that much into his music so I am not the right one to judge his music.
  9. Hope the rest is better than the "Balkan Tourist" tune. That is an annoying pop tune IMO
  10. Without saying too much I know exactly what he's talking about. Sad indeed.
  11. Very nice interview but I think Peter forgot the order of his own releases I am pretty sure KoxBox had one release before the "Koxbox - Acid Vol. 3 & Birdy" (released on his own label Outloud Records). http://www.discogs.c.../release/207681 1. As far as I recall their "Crystal/Orientalic" release came out before "Acid vol. 3/Birdy" and was released on the UK label named WTP (Where's The Party) http://www.discogs.c.../release/177089 2. I remember this quite clear as I also had a release on Outloud (Sonar Flowers) http://www.discogs.c.../release/535944 and followed those two KoxBox releases (Frank E gave me the Crystal/Orientalic Vinyl) very close. If I am wrong then my memory has totally left my brain or the two releases came out at the same time (as they were both released close to each other in 1993). I got to ask Peter this on Facebook
  12. Why so angry? Got the wrong leg out of the bed this morning?
  13. You got to get your genre naming correct. This is Tribal with a deep bottom if anything. I don't hear anything progressive as in Sonkite etc.IMO this is also quite psychedelic simply because they allow you to get into a state of trance in this excellent tune.
  14. It is true. I had an amazing time in their studio and we did an awesome tune together.
  15. What I have heard it's a typical stereotype story written by a few selected "stars" mentioning other stars leaving out a whole bunch of contributing artists, organizers, deco artists etc. Basically the usual story putting a few stars on a pedestal.
  16. Yes I remember they sold them on the most busy pedestrian street in Copenhagen and at various Techno/Trance parties
  17. I am pretty sure it was in HIllerød (Otherwise I am getting senile lol). I was invited by Ian to go there but could not go. But I'll ask Ian on Facebook Edit. The first Hare Krishna Temple was build in the mid 70's in Hillerød. There seem to be no Temple in Birkerød according to Hare Krishna's danish website. In danish!!! http://www.b.dk/kultur/krishnas-trofaste-ti
  18. It was made in the local Hare Krishna studio in Hillerød. Ian had a studio there where he also made some World music.
  19. It's OK but not in the same league as especially their debut 12' "Crystal/World Of Illusions" and debut album "Forever After".
  20. Sig hej fra Kristian (Elysium) og spørg ham hvad han synes om det faktum, at Frank E totalt har ødelagt KoxBox lyden med hans Fullon Ibiza klon musik Sorry a danish side note
  21. Nope mate we are basically debating train-wreck mixing which is connected to Trance (in this debate). I know some brought in ambient, chill ect. but that's going a bit off-topic hmmm I guess train-wreck debating is also off-topic looking at the title ha ha
  22. Well my point was that generally speaking Full-on has gone way down in popularity across the world compared to it's "golden" days. Now it's psy-techno that rules the scene and apparently the dark psy is increasing in popularity too.
  23. More layers makes the music less hypnotic IMO. Simplicity (in a good way) is what makes you get into a state of trance. Not 12 different (as an example melodic) layers making things chaotic. IMO of course.
