Nice flashback as I was partying in London at this time the Channel 4 program was aired! But it is fun to see Chris Deckker say they discouraged people from taking drugs (and all the other ramblings about sacred temples etc.). His parties was one big acid party with 6/10 fucked on drugs. Been there myself at his parties. The reason why he said is was the same reason why every other organizer said and keep saying they discouraged people from taking drugs at their events. Because it would be bad marketing. Especially when they themselves were into taking drugs. Also there was a huge crackdown on organizers throwing parties where people took drugs as a direct link in UK to "The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act" from 1994 Also its interesting to see that when the fashion industry, advertising industry and press got interested it all became commercialized very fast around the Globe. What I mean to say was that I don't think many people expected to hear mediocre Jam Band music when they pledged for a new album. I have not found one link to where Younger Brother prior to going to the studio actually told their fans what kind of album they were going to make. They posted videos after people had pledged. I still think debates regarding Younger Brothers latest album does not belong in a trance forum

I fully agree and the point is that many of us came from a background playing in bands in the 80's, having a long experience from working in studios etc. I personally played in bands as the keyboard player, worked in all kind of studios up through the 80's and studied music (classical piano and jazz). Our musical reference was not a narrow scene of goa/psytrance but a very wide music reference based on music from the 70's and 80's and especially Disco, New Wave/New Romantics, synth-pop (and experimental synth music), Industrial etc. Now I do not want to put down today's artists in this scene as there are clear talents out there and also artists with a broad taste in music. BUT I do agree that many (I feel the majority - maybe I am wrong) of these artists references in music is limited to the Goa/psytrance scene, which I feel is evident when listening to their music, and not a broader reference as we entered this scene with.

I do not put a crappy 128 kbps file on Soundcloud. I release wav's and it's just as much a release as some release on a CD or a digital download shop. A release is A RELEASE no matter the format! What you preach is your own opinion and is in my book absolutely nonsense! There are many online download shops that sell crappy 192 kbps files

He should say exactly what he want when he want and where he want and the purists and "cry wolf" obnoxious organizations should keep their heads in the sand.. He wont lose his career. Far from. He's already starting his new movie "Nymphomania" (The one where he want Kirsten Dunst to play the leading actor role with a lot of nude scenes - she might say yes...drewl drewl) when he return to Denmark - backed by many countries and they continue to back him - . The only ones wanting to break the contracts with Zentropa (his distribution/Production company) are Israel and Argentina (obvious countries - one cry antisemitism every time someone open his mouth and the other is a refugee for Nazis).

It's just been leaked to the press that the Cannes Festival Board and Direction (two different groups of people) did not wish to expel Lars Von Trier (as his apology was enough for them) BUT Jewish organizations, Jewish sponsors of the festival (Rothschild) and legal experts (who claimed he had broken french law - which according to the Cannes festival spokesperson is not true) pressured them to expel him (an apology was apparently not enough for them) even though the Cannes direction fought hard for him and in the end they had to make a compromise (or lose their sponsors - Hollywood money) to let his movie stay in the competition but to expel him. The Anti-Defamation League also wanted Lars Von Triers movie to be expelled but at least here The Cannes Festival said a LOUD no! How predictable that The Anti-Defamation League and Abe Foxman and his friends in France act this despicable way. Abe Foxman and his organization "The Anti-Defamation League" is very powerful in USA/Hollywood as well as everywhere else in the World where they cry "antisemitism" in any "non" case and I have no doubt The Anti-Defamation League is the Jewish organization mentioned, in this leak to the press, to be behind the expel of Lars Von Trier in this case.
