Someone selling my tracks on Beatport without my permission
Elysium replied to Imba's topic in General Psytrance
Well have you asked Phototropic if they have made a deal with a distributor or other label to put your music on Beatport? Usually a contract allow the main label to do such deals. It's called 3rd party licensing. P.S! Forget to get any money out of this IF it's illegal. It will cost you 10 x the amount to start a lawsuit than what you'll ever get paid IF you win. -
Various Works is a collection of singles, compilation appearances, and unreleased tracks by Elysium (Kristian Thinning Andersen), an electronic music pioneer from Denmark. Featuring music written between 1994 and 2005, this release clocks in at nearly four hours of air time, offering an expansive overview of Elysium's distinctly tribal approach to trance and downtempo. http://www.ektoplazm...m-various-works

Welcome Always remember to write (IMO / In my opinion) I dont really agree on the "new frontiers". But at the end of the day it's all about taste.

Why do psy artists become less "psy" over time?
Elysium replied to healium's topic in General Psytrance
Yes of course you can also evolve and be psychedelic. But music is so much more than just being psychedelic. -
Why do psy artists become less "psy" over time?
Elysium replied to healium's topic in General Psytrance
Nonsense then 99% of all the posts here are off-topic if we have to stay very strict on topic. The question is why psy artists get less psy over time and one answer is that they evolve as artists and seek new creative ways also into other genres. Artist X did very psychedelic music and over the years he evolved and changed his taste. Ergo he got less psychedelic as he evolved, experimented and changed his sound/genre. Simple as that. I never claimed 90% got into Fullon because of that. I said many I know seeked to evolve artistically and creative seeking new grounds because they simply cant stop being curious musically. . I am one among them and I can not see myself do the same music (psychedelic or not) year after year. That would kill my creativity and musical flame. I am not the only artist I know who feel this way. -

No matter what a community that base it's vision on drugs will sooner or later go down the drain. It's not the first time it happens. And it's a highly speculative statement to say the majority did drugs. That is not my experience at all. -
Why do psy artists become less "psy" over time?
Elysium replied to healium's topic in General Psytrance
I agree on that. Sad thing is that some people (not all but I do see a huge increase) go for the drugs and not the music. They use the music to support the drugs instead of using the drugs to support the music. But how should they know any better when their favorite artists promote drugs as "God" by being totally fucked on drugs while performing and releasing various tunes and Albums that praise drugs. The artists, labels and also organizers have way more influence on the audience than they want to admit. -

Mate not many does LSD any longer in the scene. They do Coke. If only they did LSD there was still a small chance things would improve for the better -

I agree to that but I would not hold my horses on the off-topic ever getting back online. I think the team is too afraid it would steal the attention from the weekly 2-3 recurring topics going on now -

Funny how some of you will never relate to what goes on. Instead you get pissy potty irritated on me for pointing out the obvious. Procyon was out of line yet none of you want to admit it. How predictable -

Agreed but please notice it's not Mike or me who started anything here. As usual it's a die hard goa/psy fan who can't seem to understand that people can have different taste and also like different kind of music. This once fun and friendly forum has turned into a very small community with some people being very elitist and IMO damn rude when someone does not meet their taste in music. If you want this community to grow then you should start to look at how some members hold it down when it come to acting like they own this forum ("You do not belong here" etc.). The new mods are totally invisible and I doubt this community will ever get back to even half of what it used to be unless they start to act and change things here so people who visit actually feel like joining this community. As it is now I don't see any new members joining. All I see is a small group of people and some of those members attacking people who have a broad taste in music. my 2 cents. I look forward to Rotwang & co's insults -

You can like whatever you want. That is not the point. I reacted because he wrote this to Mike who stated he also found a few of Justin Beiber's songs to be good. That is in my book narrow-minded and damn rude! -

It's impressive how narrow-minded you are I feel ashamed on behalf of the whole psytrance scene that it has such narrow-minded people like you in it. -

Seem some people here need a little history lesson Again as with the Nommos (His wife does all the music) Gil took some credit for passing the Bong to Peter from Kode IV. But to claim he made any of the music is an insult to Peter. Gil has never and will never be a producer. They guy don't even know what a C is! My experience, knowing them and sharing the stage with all the artists (incl. Kode IV on many occasions) and Djs all through the 90's. -

Baba Gil is fraud. He cant make music. Nommos is made by his Wife! All he does is passing on the bong. -

NONSENSE:... I know a lot of artists in many scenes and none of them does coke (incl. myself) and speaking on behalf of myself I only do music for myself and I only make music I like myself no matter what genre I am working within. I don't try to please anyone and I am not doing it for money. I know other artists who think the same way I do. So one thing you do here is GENERALIZING!
