  1. My review has been updated. You can read it here and also cast your vote when you get the release. http://www.neogoa.net/first-encounter-review/ My final scores & conclusion:
  2. If I was born in Finland, probably I would be Ripa or something without Č or Ć Anyway, I'm still suprised how this release came out of nowhere and it sounds so good
  3. Released 10 days ago, really amazing atmospheric black metal with a lot of organic sounds and nice storytelling. I haven't enjoyed and experienced this kind of music in absolutley positive way since Gallowbraid
  4. A nice gem released on Ektoplazm today. Since it has a lot of 'Goa' in it, why not share it here as well, I'm sure many of you will like this. 01 - Kierron Rajoilla (139 BPM) 02 - Hairahdus (140 BPM) 03 - Rahat Pois! (128 BPM) 04 - Donkey Kong (100 BPM) 05 - RooTest (146 BPM) 06 - Tuskien Taival (142 BPM) 07 - Fail Safe (139 BPM) 08 - Sea Of Mud (Mutameri Reggae) (100 BPM) Playing The Presets is the long-lost debut album of Finnish Goa/psy dub band Praktika (Heba & Ripa). The group formed during the recording sessions for Sörkkä Sonic, a collaborative album released in 1996 and attributed to Flippin’ Bixies, the original Finnish Goa trance super-group. Included on that album was Praktika’s earliest song, “Out Of Phase”. Playing The Presets was recorded during the Mutameri Sessions at the legendary Ääniasema Studios (also the home of Gad, M1D1L11TT0, O*men, and Squaremeat) between 1997–1999. This album was scheduled for release in autumn of 1999 on Exogenic Records but all master tapes were lost only to be rediscovered in the vaults of Johtoääni Studios in the summer of 2016. Nobody really knew what have happened and some blame aliens! All music is from pre-VSTi era when instruments were still made of red and silver plastic. Musically it goes from Goa trance to psy dub to psychedelic world music and Finnish forest funk. Gear used on this album: Roland SH-101, Roland Juno-106, Roland JV-1080, Korg Prophecy, Kurzweil K-2500 with sampling option, Peavey analog delay, Lexicon MPX1, Digitech Multifx, Mackie 2408 Mixer, Roland Alpha Juno 2, PC with Cubase, Sound Forge and Waves native Power Pack cracked by Radium. Credits: written and produced by Praktika with mastering by Heba. Original 3DMAX rendered cover art from 1997 by Mika. http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/praktika-playing-the-presets My review: http://www.neogoa.net/playing-the-presets-review/
  5. We all do mate. But speaking about James, i think he improved his vocals a lot since the last two albums. For the first time in years, it sounds...natural

  7. Don't get me wrong guys, by no means I consider new album to be among classics such as MOP, AJFA or RTL, but it has some nostalgia written all over it. As a fan of Metallica, I can say they delivered finally something that fans wanted for a long long time. Even it's not 100% thrash metal (and truth to be told, no one expected to be), they still have some of the best riffs around, with all due respect to other bands (and yes, I like Testament and Venom too). Anyhow, fun video made to compare how the new music would sound if it was released on ...And Justice For All album. Great Pantera-like sound around 05:10 mark.
  8. Interview for Mushroom Magazine: http://www.mushroom-magazine.com/ultimate-xperience/
  9. I can't confirm anything yet, but it might be that scenario, since we don't want to rush out with this one. However, I hope we will have pre-order page ready in December. Also, for all people near Hamburg, UX is playing tonight:
  10. New Metallica album should be out tomorrow, even they released music videos for almost every song from the new record made by different director and presented on different websites/music e-zines. That's neat idea and clever PR. It doesn't sound bad at all, some tracks are bit repetative but in overall I'm very much happy. I can say it's better than Death Magnetic and sound-wise it's more powerful. So far, the last track - Spit Out The Bone is the winner for my taste. Most of the videos are now up on their official channel: http://www.spin.com/2016/11/watch-metallicas-10-new-music-videos/ https://www.youtube.com/user/MetallicaTV/videos Also, this video seems like a sort of tribute to... Mayhem? Not sure but the lead singer and black metal iconography reminds me on Dead.
  11. Safe trip and good luck in your quest to play music and meet a nice lady
  12. Yeah music and video, all together Just to break the routine with just artworks in the video on YT

  15. Chromatic World (Revisited) will be published on 3rd anniversary of the original release - 24th January, 2017. Pre orders for this limited digipak version will be up sometime in late 2016. Mastering for this release will be done by PsiloCybian so you can expect the best possible sound quality for this one. Artwork is also here:
  16. I think it was 2-3 years ago, I stumbled on Pneuma and after that I feel in love with their sound, which is pretty much unique and likable. Reason? Dunno, perhaps I like greek black metal We can go deeper in underground if you want Great release of Pantelis Giasafakis, latter more known by his work in DN.
  17. I would like to add Hail Spirit Noir, even they might seem unknown to general public, with already 3 albums under their belt they established themselves as leading psychedelic/prog black metal band out there. New album shouldn't be missed personal highlights from previous two albums:
  18. Thanks for taking the time to post review, glad you had a blast! Speaking about OP, their last album is really amazing, i've been listening it a lot lately and hopefully one day they'll come somewhere near to experience it live @Kai-Q - I like RC too, but I'm more into their recent discography
  19. Human capability to feel the music or artistic creativity, it doesn't matter, what matters the most that we can enjoy the great music no matter the fact is someone using certain substances.
  20. Mainstream media in Croatia is giving it's best to make Russia look bad in eyes of common people, degrading it on so many levels but most of people doesn't buy it anymore.
