  1. How can you say that?!? are you impying that some were biased in the option to vote for psynews over isratrance?? If only you understood the real issue man - I have issues, okay? - I have a face that only a mother could love - and my penis is so hideously small (thats why i cant participate in the "how big is your cock" thread... All these factors lead me to voting ISRATRANCE. Thats right. I WANTED ISRATRANCE to win. heh. Im sorry psynews- i failed you all - it was a moment of weakness.
  2. Carbon Based Lifeforms is some brilliant psychedelic ambient available on Ultimae Records - Hyrdophonic Garden is the most recent release to date - havent heard of "The Path" tho... http://www.ultimae.com/releases/frameset.html?skeud=56 Check em! They got most of the releases to date there! x senpsy
  3. brilliant post to watch you guys waste some time
  4. Haaaang on a second! You've been seeing her too? I thought i was the only one...Chris, sir, i challenge you to a duel.
  5. When the bits & bobs are sorted im sure we'll see it eberywhere my friend! But just in case - heres some sites I buy from: www.saikosounds.com (very good back catalog) www.psyshop.com (very good back catalog but sell out too quickly of stuff ) www.chaosunlimited.co.uk (not a good back catalog - but decent releases & other psy-merchandise and sent promptly) heres to a speedy release...!
  6. Also want to add that in some ways, now that i think aboot it, WARP (et al) opened my heart to psychedelic! Before then I wouldnt touch electronic music with a stick as I was pro rock to the core! Listening to WARP stuff was a nice launchpad for what was to come From grunge to rock to alternative rock to electronic ambient to psychedelic ambient to psychedelic trance to........ and just when i thought it all made sense...) x (seraph - nice avatar btw!!)
  7. Ahh boards of Canada - remember listening to 'em as i was on the tail end of my WARP phase! WARP - sheer class in electronic music - in my view true sound pioneers! AUTECHRE was awesome, with some beautiful melodies and APHEX earlier works was astounding! Geogaddi was my favorite album from BOC - i think maybe it was because i had some wonderful memories trancing back to those times Still wouldnt class em as psyambient tho (sorry asura!) but a truely great vision lies behind the workings! Will there be another album due? do you know? x
  8. dont worry dj nemo - you do not suck and neither does your poll i checked out the alternative poll - i dont mean to moan but why is patagonia not on this list??
  9. dont mean to moan - but why is patagonia not on this list??
  10. oh wowo!! Man, i didnt even know that x-dream released an album called "Radio" ! When was this released and on which label?? ive looked around and around and all i can find is those 3 releases!! senpsy
  11. Hey seraph - hows tingz? Thanks for the year correction there! With regards to "We Interface" ,However, I dont think a few weeks is what we're talking here - if it was i could understand what went wrong. The production/mastering on the album is otherwise crisp and clear. No - what im talking here is a complete breakdown, full tilt, of epic proportions - Its no way near psychedelic trance.. it sound like electro house yet its classified as psychedelic trance - a worrying trend thats appearing to gain more and more leverage in psy circles ive noticed Maybe its just a change in direction, spinal tap style!! (except spinal tap was a parody...) Maybe its to do with money - to get more of a foothold in other scenes or something Its just seems a confusing situation to me
  12. right then - is this the official griping page? ok then, lets go!! My choice for Psychedelic Antichrist is: (drumroll...) X-DREAM with their album "WE INTERFACE" 2004 AVATAR RECORDS WTF? WHAT IS GOING ON? (This is not psychedelic trance - do not buy if you think it is) I LOVED X-DREAMS FIRST ALBUM "WE CREATED OUR OWN HAPPINESS" 2001 IT WAS WICKED - AND BECAME AN ANTHEMIC ALBUM FOR ME DURING 2001 NEXT CAME "IRRITANT" I WONT SAY ANYTHING BECAUSE I KNOW THERE ARE MANY here WHO LIKED THIS ALBUM Is there anyone who liked this album - coz ive tried playing this again and again - and im just left slouching in defeat, holding the cd case and staring down at it - not so much as i paid some of my hard earned cash to get it but because everyone rates it as the future! Am i the only one who hears this differently? Please, am i the only one who sees this? I FEEL LIKE IM TAKING CRAZY PILLS!!!
  13. well spacetime - you got another 7 years to sort it out...!
  14. niiice! !!THIS QUOTE DESERVES TO BE IN A TRACK SOMEWHERE!! (wouldnt that be an idea? helpful 'technical' vocals to increase ones listening pleasure...) ps - i thought treble was the midrange? definately the bass needs to be cut.
  15. Sherlock - you my firend have got your head totally screwed on right amen
  16. heya lectrolux! Ive not been listeneing to psy-trance for all that long now but one thing i do know is that once i find an artist or style i really dig (man) then i buy everything that record label has to offer! In this case its Phantasm Records - (UK Psychedelic Chapter) Believe me you wont be dissaPOINTed! geddit? dissa POINT ed? geddit? dissa POIN (sorry...ill get my coat) x the senpsy
  17. Now i know what everyone was raving aboot! what a fantastic record indeed - praise and respect to all involved in producing SkyInput! Ive not been listening to psy-trance for long now - i missed the goa period, thanks to rock'N'roll & bad rock'N'roll at that! I did my best to catch up but unfortunately it never hooked me - the sounds seemed too dated... i suppose you had to be there and experience the beauty, sounds & smells first hand.. So i listened to current psy-trance/ambience and loved it! Now Filteria has come out with what reminds me of goa style riffs and sweeps for the new age! I feel like a hippy whos found his cultural identity! Thanks Filteria and thank you psy-trance! P.S. - AmithabaBuddha is that any semblance to your real name? I only ask because youre a spitting image for a younger Amitabh Bhachan (a famous bollywood actor!!) Im serious!
  18. oops! sorry sherlock my mistake! i thought you were on about the remixes! which doesnt have that oooh oooh oooh ooooh ooooh pimpeo , part... (shows how much i know...)
  19. are you on about "my head feels like a frizbee"? (coz that ends in a samba bonanza style ending) I suppose the ending on this track is a little all over the shop - seems like they lost the will to carry on in a sensible way p.s. we'll leave you mother outta this...
  20. no no no dont say these things shpongle is not overrated at all - they deserve as much kudos as can be thrown their way IMO having fun is what shpongle music is all about and its characterised in the music perfectly More often than not, shpongle has alotta funk behind it aswell seperating shpongle from alot of psy & non psy-ambient acts around. All these factors combined justify shpongle to be up there kickin ass & takin names! However for the serious ambient head, fair enough, i can see how shpongle may be a bit "psypop culture" (if there ever was one) As for the name influence, IMO the name does demand high expectation from the shpongle crew - but they do deliver especially LIVE when theyre awesome! Shpongle is great and to speak of anything less is heresy. Join the whipping queue with asura!
  21. Hey man lectrolux glad to be sharing sine waves with you bro! I hope your psychedelic journey is fullon & crazy. I just got one pointer/hint for you; headphones on - volume full to the max - bass down treble up - enjoy also check out "POINT - do you believe?" on Phantasm Recs (if you liked eskimo - you'll love this!) x the senpsy
