  1. I'll listen out for his stuff but I've got to say Asstrancer isn't a very good name it sounds like the title of an anal sex porno
  2. If I could go back in time to destroy one invention for the benifit of human kind I wouldn't be after the weapons or war machines I'd go straight for the Vocoder or autotuner or any of those annoying annoying boxes that people sing through. Since when was really horrible Alvin and the chipmunks vocals anything to do with psy trance ? horrible just horrible

  4. Hope this went well, nice touch incorporating the psychedelic rock, you should put on Omnia Opera if you try that again they are the uk's best space rock act.
  5. I think Electric Universe are underated at Ozora 2005 they were one of the highlights of the whole festival for me. I must admit I later bought that album that featured all the guitar tracks and I didn't think it really worked outside of the live situation but that's not to put a dampner on all the fantastic tracks Boris has produced over the years.
  6. It's a shame that thread disintergrated into a slanging match. one of the things I do like about this forum is people do say which acts they don't care for and usually it's not a big deal like it would be on some other forums I visit. I think it's good to be able to speak your mind. sometimes it's worth saying the psychedelic scene is a bit too quick to just throw a load of artists names at us that we are all to love and take to our hearts not everyone is going to love all these acts and it's good to have an outlet to say this. for the record I've always enjoyed KoxBox stuff. I'm not so keen on Shpongle though for me they just don't work on any level, all those tempo changes annoy me and they are just too noodley for there own good with songs littered with bad vocals.
  7. well festival season has finished and people come inside for their partying so we might as well start off with a good one.

  9. Ibiza is turning out to be the place Psy trance Dj's go to die, it's like the elephants gravy yard or a retirement home for the psychedelically bewildered.
  10. Sienna Miller looks great in the latest Hugo Boss :orange advert http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZNa_OMOue0
  11. This is a vote for Dj's all of those you've mentioned are respected acts, but are they good dj's ?
  12. Damion is an odd little character who's not as funny as he thinks he is.
  13. I just don't agree that the best psy trance was pre 2000, I think there is some fantastic music being produced today, I do find it frustrating that although theres great music around whenever I go out Dj's don't seem to be playing it.
  14. It is a strange old it's like when you listen to old compilations and the tracks you loved at the time of them coming out don't sound so great but then there's always a track you didn't rate originally that you have a new found appreciation for.
  15. This years Waveform festival has a new better location things are still being sorted out but you can find info at http://www.waveformfestival.com/ have you ever seen Visiondanz documentary about Waveformhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIC5T22-MDg
  16. You should've started a new thread about this maybe, cheers for the info about Chris Decker.
  17. There are rumours in the Uk that club night Return to the source is set to start up again, and it got me wondering does anyone know what Chris Decker (Medicine drum) is up to nowadays ?
  18. Shpongle ; I just don't get them for me they don't work on any level I just find their music too noodley and just pretentious. Bluetech; someone said earlier in this thread that they had never heard a track by Tristan they'd ever liked I feel the same about Bluetech his music just doesn't inspire me to anything else but to take out the cd. Tripswitch aswell I just get the feeling I've heard all his tracks done better elsewhere.
  19. I think you're right he is totally overated.
  20. I really like Japanese act Ancient Beach
  21. My favourite psy cchill album is quite old Tribal Drift - Collective journeys but one of the reasons I love it is because although it's old I still pull it out to have a listen from time to time it's funky yet chilled at the same time (the best album for magic mushrooms I've ever known) you can put it on and listen to the whole album without feeling the need to skip a single track and it has some quality didgeridoo playing from Cyrung on it. a forgotten classic.
  22. BUmp it...up up up above all that spam...considering this site is called PSY news the uk events section is just full of loads of non psy crap.
