  1. Thanks for the cool post. In the end though... well... these people aren't gonna go pirate music or probably even buy it. They all understand the dangers out there in music these days all about sex and drugs and false religions. But that doesn't mean they can't enjoy the style of music, even if only a small portion of the tracks are suitable to be played in a church. Well I'm not certain but we will find out. It's all young generation of course they listen to Christian rock and stuff already.... Not like a transition from hymns. Thanks for this information I did not know this but it makes sense! Haha thanks then... I've never listened to that artist before, but I won't bother hunting down a copy now I guess. Thx for the suggestions & no I am not against you at all. But anyways it is part of the rules that there should be adequate samples or vocals that have something to do with the religion if I can play the music, as it isn't just a party, but for the purpose to worship God.
  2. Malevol3nt, Thanks I'll try listening to this. Rotwang, Thanks for these suggestions. :posford: Others, Thanks for showing up.
  3. Chi-A.D. - Beyond The Singularity KURO - Zoa
  4. Man I already have all parts, even part 3, but thanks for suggestion.
  5. Here's the low down: I'm doing a mix for my a party at my church to introduce people to Goa Trance. The problem is they won't like all these references to Buddhas, drugs, etc. So I'm looking for tracks with good Christian samples. So far I have: Astral Projection - Let There Be Light ("in the beginning God created...") (good opener!) M.A.N. - The Seeker ("God seeks the seeker and the seeker seeks God") ... Yea that's all I can think of right now, which is why I'm asking yall for help. PS - Don't bother suggesting Mystica - Ashes To Ashes, that isn't a real Bible verse it's from Pulp Fiction.
  6. Goa trance need not have anything to do with india or eastern religions.
  7. I think I've rated maybe 20 albums 5/5 on discogs and this is one of them. IMO the only goa album that's near perfect is the debut of Dimension 5, but I'd need a scale of at least 1-10 to really start distinguishing this. Also this is much better than the first 3 Transwave albums IMO. I think they will only get 4/5 from me though not decided yet.
  8. Ask him how it feels to win the ironman triathlon 6x.
  9. Only their first few albums were interesting to me.
  10. I much prefer Brain Filter to Unstable. Granted the melodies were coming more from Slide, but I think Ultimate Experience was not about the melodies, they were just the icing on top so to speak, but definitely not the most remarkable part, definitely not what set the album apart for greatness imo. Syb Unity Nettwerk (Kylven) produced some good more typical goa stuff too. Odds was a little bland. But not much from Slide really sticks out to me, it's just mediocre standard goa. Anyways I agree that this is likely to be crappy.
  11. Warning: Even though all his items on discogs are rated Mint / Mint and say "still sealed", 2/3 of my order was not sealed or mint condition. Only the one from his own label really was.
  12. This is a really amazing deal I wish I was around for it to get a plastic necklace with a little picture on it for every $100 purchase.
  13. Considering it's from your own label I'm sure you have many extra sleeves.
  14. Because it's one of the best. I've never heard any album where no tracks are somewhat lacking (this doesn't mean they suck, only they aren't as amazing as the others).
  15. It's your choice to read my posts. Personally I don't read yours I just read 1 line out of each one and you can very well guess what line it happened to be from your last post. Jk of course.
  16. This is funny Nemo, "Can't beat him, join him," not, "can't beat him, ban him".
  17. I would buy this for Arsonik and Code S9 alone. Both stellar work from 1996. The other best ones are Adoration To The Aum, Hypersphere and Cycles Of Life. I find Bombay Night and Flamincogyre a little lacking. 5/5 for sure though.
  18. I ordered some of his low priced stuff. I never said anywhere that all of his stuff was overpriced, mainly just the things that don't have multiple others selling it for a low price are overpriced.
  19. Usually if I'm thinking of listening to something I check ratings by a few people on discogs. Anoebis usually has similar ratings to me except sometimes he rates things 1/5 that are very good, but combining his rate with some others I get a good idea if it's good music or not. Sorry if you don't know how to use internet ratings and think they are just there to waste space. Who cares? I already have hundreds of CDs I do like. I can't listen to every single CD just to make sure I don't miss out on something I might have liked. Nor am I in dire need of another CD I like.
  20. Did you read my muffin analogy post? Maybe the artists' friends like it though he doesn't, so he decides to release it. Maybe he just doesn't know how to do any better, so he releases his best try. Etc. I'm sorry but you're incredibly naive if you think people only release something because they think it's 5/5.
  21. This depends on one's subjective rating criteria. You could not care about mastering, you could care somewhat about it, or you could only care about it. (gradient)
  22. Well then since Joe was planning to release his muffins on a large scale through his muffin label he must not have been making homemade muffins. :wank:
  23. I think you should leave this thread; even if I posted at the level of a 6 year old you wouldn't get it. You're probably just a fucking internet troll anyways, nobody can really be this stupid. :not_amused:
  24. Not true. Homemade muffins may even result in you going to the hospital in intensive care for a few weeks depending on what you put in them. Also the muffins are not really homemade as they are going to be mass produced in a factory anyways after the recipe is released.
