  1. Over lunch today I dusted off my copy of this great cd & realised (again) that this is an extremely nice compilation: Tracklisting: 01 Millenium Light Millenium Light 02 Zorba The Deep 03 Cyberbabas Cyberbaba 04 Tranan Moody 05 Ticon Ass-Tronaut 06 Proper Filthy Naughty Philter 07 Total Eclipse One World 08 Qlap Peu Ohm Peu 09 Logic Bomb Two Brains 10 Tycho Recluse It really has something for éveryone. 2 véry old tracks by the GMS-guys that are OK Some more melodic-Scando-stuff but still very enjoyable A triplet close to perfection by Tranan, Ticon & PFN: especially these tracks prooved to be pretty timeless! Qlap is a collaboration between Ticon & Son Kite, so can't go wrong there.. What I ment to ask was: could anyone recommend me other V/A-cd's with an equally broad-selection & good level of quality? Here the Progressive is groovy but not to housy yet not too hard either. The Melodies are present but not too dominant. The Psytrance is powerfull but not too hectic (except for the firxt track Since artists come from pretty much around the globe (France, Holland, Israel, Scandinavia,...) there is no typical, predominant sound & that's what I like. They didn't focus labels & subgenres but just put together a bunch of nice tunes... So anyone got any tips?
  2. Take a look around man, see if there's anything you like?
  3. Some of us can't play music during the day, cause they (have to) work "in silence" I'll check'em tonight
  4. V/A: Creative Trance CD 1 is mixed by Tsuyoshi Suzuki. CD 2 is mixed by Sid Shanti. Creative Trance is compiled by Jon Williams. http://www.discogs.com/release/83659 V/A: Natural born Techno 5 on Nova Zembla http://www.discogs.com/release/76333 PM me for offers plz, thnx...
  5. New Vibrasphere-album ... at the end of 2006 Could the Ticon-guys confirm that they're gonna play at the Soulclipse festival? Would be great nice to hear them again. Last time in Belgium they looked like this : http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11415240/ & that was my best Belgian party of 2003!
  6. if it's anything like "Pole Position Club" on Inner Circle, I'm in!!!
  7. Just go to Kao San Road & pick up some flyers! This is the backpacker's centre & kind of a hub to anywhere else in Thailand or Asia. The perfect place to meet ppl going to or coming from the Full Moon Parties on Koh Pha Ghan. This is something you have to experience at least once, although there are much nice parties to be found. Bangkok will be really busy, amazing, expensive, cheap, dirty, beautifull, relaxing, ugly, XXX, astonishing & unbelievable. & that's just in the first 24hrs Just to say that it has as many different sides to it as there are Buddha's in Thailand Clubs will be very expensive & have to close really early (for a Belgian boy) So you're gonna wanna find the more illegal parties, which will not be very hard if you're a social person. What are you going to do there for 3 months? I'm sure it will be a life-changing experience if you want it to be PS: 1 Tip: néver throw a ciggarette bud on the ground in Bangkok. Before it will touch the asphalt, a policeman will appear out of nowhere to give you a 2000bath fine, or pick up 100 cigarette-buds yourself. It tought me a pretty good lesson! Respect the earth wherever you go... "May pen rai, Fallang!" ("Relax, Stranger!")
  8. V/A: A Token to Thrill (Nanobeat) http://www.discogs.com/release/305993 Great comp! A bit older, but nevertheless very enjoyable...
  9. he did give you the full name Augustus Pablo : a living Rastafari legend, "MAAN"

    switch rmx

There's an Ace Ventura-RMx too, it will be released on cd on the Set:6 (Iboga) compiled by Freq. Funny that he chose a new alias for this one: DJ Frequency I've been dying to hear & Freq-dj-set for 2 years, so this should be as close as it gets...
  11. Thought so, 7 DJ's would seem a bit strange @ el brujo: Are you involved with the organisation? Do you know Mateo (French guy who lived in Barcelona) & is there anyway of getting in contact with him? C U on the dancefloor...
  12. What is there left to say after such elaborate reviews? Well al lot because I seem to disagree with most others here. Then again I really enjoyed Limelight aswell unlike some hardcore psyheads. I really liked the first & middle part of the compilation but imho some tracks could have been better. The overal feel of Inner Circle is tribal trance & quality progressive. The main ingredients are djembes, bongo’s & conga’s rather than melodic layers or multiple climaxes. After the intro we immediately strike gold with a rmx of a recent Beat Bizzare-track It's always difficult to rate a rmx without knowing the original track. But Shaman's version of Corrosive Juices is such a nice tune that it's hard for me to imagine the original being much better than this. Constantly expanding before getting locked into a swirl of sounds that could go on until eternity… yummy! Then come Prisoners Of The Sun… Oh My Good GOD this is tasty! “Pole Position Club” alone makes this compilation worth buying It starts of with a very scary & deep growling, . Don’t think dark-psy please. More like the scary sounds from old D&B tracks This is pure progressive nastiness, dirty to the bone. No need for melodies or synth-lines, just rhythmic layers percussions that are added on. Repetitive but not boring or dry! A late break gives you the impression it’s all over but there’s still some venom left in the tail. It kinda reminds me of “The Force” by Laurent Garnier & that’s a huuuge compliment in my book! Can’t wait to hear their 2nd album! Parrket makes yet another good impression here. This man can probably make any style of trance he wants. The music is absolutely great, but the vocoder-voice samples kinda take from it. I’m difficult with vocals in trance tracks, for me it’s either great or so-so. It doesn’t ruin the track, but Kalimax, Prosect & Nasa are all new names to me. I wasn’t to impressed by the Kalimax track, not really my cup of trance. I did like Prosect & NASA, although they’re more of the melodic side of trance. Prosect brings an Israeli touch (melodic prog, not standard-full on) kinda similar to Echotek. Good to get some melodies & smooth climaxes every now & then, it gives this compilation a little more diversity. Great that the track comes to a full stop before exploding again. Only minus on his track is the recycled "Some Simple Sounds"-sample that Ticon also used. The Human Blue & Tegma Tracks are OK, but for me nowhere near as epic or moving as their previous stuff. Especially the Tegma track seemed like it was lacking some more build-up’s or breakdowns although it DOES have very nice stereo-FX. I don’t mind stompers, I just prefer to have a little more “content”. Etnoscope are of course the kings of tribal-trance & they deliver a nice piece of work here. If you know their stuff from “Drums from the dawn of Time”, you know what to expect. About time they produce a follow-up to that little gem too. In Conclusion: There’s something in here for everyone who likes quality music. Personally I think this time the lesser-known acts (like Shaman & Prosect) make a better impression than some of the bigger names. Biggest track on here is "Pole Position Club" the come-back of P.O.T.S. I’m very curious about their new album also out on Tribal Vision! As mentioned before the artwork is yet again fingerlicking good. Really worth taking a closer look at the informative booklet!
  13. I was a bit sad when I found out that I wouldn't be able to make it to Boom this year, but I can hardly imagine that the Boom-line-up could beat this one 100% PRESENT

    Gaudium !

Best release of 2005 (for me) so far! 2004 brought us Freq, 2005 brings us Gaudium
  15. Saw The Delta live this week-end, very dry & dark progressive... Their new stuff's got nothing to do with "Butterflies on the walls" that's for sure
  16. can you spell G-A-U-D-I-U-M ? very new, very progressive!
  17. maybe kids of the 80's will be THE definitive psy-cover-megamix with everthing from Spandau Ballet to Bon Jovi ? No judt kidding This one I'vr been waiting for for over 2 years now, about time they spit it out. gonna be fingalickingood, I'm sure! & an applause for not putting 50% trax onthere that are also in compilations but all fresh stuff!
  18. Thought there was another thread about this festival also? Cause I already replied on it I thought? Anyway, looks f*cking nice, that line-up! Where did you get the info?
  19. My fav album of the year is most likely be Gaudium - Nordic Nature (Spiral Trax) : new sounds, new directions, great production & further more I really enjoyed: Tegma: Avant Garde (closest thing to "full on" I bought all year) Antix: T. C. D. Avalanche of Sound Vol 4 V/A: Lime light & in the chill department the 2nd disc of Tantra Trance compilation BUT: Element's new cd "Alteration" is still on its way... (too long already) & Freq will compile Set 6 for Iboga So autumn & winter might have some nice surprises Most promising artist: André Absolut
  20. Trust me ont his one, it WAS 2Unlimited who made Tribal Dance. I kept on trying to inform everybody at Tshitraka Project, but nobody seemed to care
  21. Tribal Vision: Inner Circle http://www.discogs.com/release/518108 Nice Proggy compilation, POTS-track kicks assss Full review will follow...
  22. No, the Anthony Rother album I was referring to is called "Hacker". Another good one of his is "Sex with machines" But The Hacker from "Miss Kittin & The Hacker" also produces very good electro, slightly less poppy than what they did together. Other good electro would be: Aux 88 Underground Resistance (the project, not the label, which is also great) the Dr Lektroluv-compilations, but this is already more electroclash... I love the catchy breakbeat & gloomy atmospere of electro but I find it pretty hard to freakout to it on an dancefloor. Probably cause I don't know shit about break-dancing If you like his stuff, Anthony Rother plays live in Antwerp on 7/10
