Shpongle 3 - Nothing lasts but nothing is lost
Trolsk replied to MattMan's topic in General Psytrance
Yes, I'm going to burn the album to a cd-rw and listen to it on my surround setup. If it's good, and I'm sure it will be, I'll buy it. I hope you will find it worth waiting for your copy to arrive sometime next week, mean while I'll be playing it on repeat. Now I'm off to listen to some new Shpongle, see you later... -
Shpongle 3 - Nothing lasts but nothing is lost
Trolsk replied to MattMan's topic in General Psytrance
Rumours Of Vapours and Behind Closed Eyelids were both released prior to Are You Shpongled?, noone complained about that because those tunes belonged on that album for sure. I'm sure it will be the same with the great Beija Flor tune. Fluoro Neuro Sponge and LSD were released prior to Twisted. Trancespotter and Deranger were also released prior to The Lone Deranger. I rather have one or two great previously released tunes that fits the album, then one or two disjointed fillers, and seeing as it is Posford we're talking about I'm sure it's going to be all great stuff. -
Excellent electronic music with varying amounts of acoustic guitars: Gravenhurst - Flashlight Seasons - Warp Records Four Tet - Pause - Domino Telefon Tel Aviv - Fahrenheit Fair Enough - Hefty Records Adam Shaikh and Tim Floyd - Drift

Freestyle psychedelic masterpiece, get it!

What part of "next time" don't you understand?
-
Try the Remember the Slime track or the Supermindway album. Supermindway is the same style as A Binary Input to Flest Antenna. Supermindway is one of those groundbreaking albums. You haven't heard anything like it.

Bother to check next time instead of wasting our time...

Cosmosis is one of those artists that has managed to progress his sound with dignity. It has so far been a great ride, from the debut Cosmology up to 2002's Contact, all good, great or brilliant. The latest offering, Trancendance, is unfortunately a release that will be lost in the flood of boring full on. Not bad, just not interesting: 5/10

The masters of weird psychedelic trance, Shaolin Wooden Men, have a 40.42 long track called A Binary Input To Flesh Antenna.

Agreed, quantity over quality seems to be the ruling concept these days.
-
Twisted's prices have always been way to high, their website is never updated in time, when it is updated the information is incorrect, and the release dates are never correct. I love weird music, but their weird way of making business isn't equally appealing.

Ubar Tmar's True album is one of the most brilliant and psychedelic masterpieces of the psy-trance genre. If you like that style you might want to try Quirk's Machina Electrica & Fornax Chemica. Then there's Ubar Tmar's 99 tracks album Macrometasomakosmos based on the golden mean. Great stuff. Btw, there's a live recording based on True called Ubar Tmar Live at Autumnal Equinox. Ubar Tmar is the most underrated artist of the psy-trance scene.

What's the tracklist for the Holm & Andersen Sunrise Mix - Deep Tribal House mix?
-
Words of experience: Never ever believe anything on the Twisted site, especially if it's related to a release date. You'll just end up being disappointed.

No tracklist = no download.

I've found the source of the sample and it's Timothy Leary's "Tune in, turn on, drop out" recording: http://www.discogs.com/release/429192 Now, who can ID the track that uses this sample?

Tell me what you think about the reviews layout?
Trolsk replied to Lemmiwinks's topic in General Psytrance
Hey Lemmiwinks, it would be nice to get some kind of respons to my above reply... -
It is indeed Green Nuns of the Revolution and the track is "Ring of Fire". There is a remix of this tune by Eat Static, so it might be that tune you're looking for.
-
Just about anything from Shaolin Wooden Men, but in particular the incredibly intense "Supermindway" album. You've never heard anything like it.

Fatali - Faith Green House Effect - Global Warming

Please sort by most recent posts instead of topic title! 1. Most entries will be on recent releases, therefor it's more intuitive to sort by recent posts instead of topic title. 2. After a couple of months there will be several pages to scroll through, and that's just irritating, especially since the pages are numbered and not alphabetized. 3. There's just too much room for human error; a topic starter might enter incorrect information in the topic title making it harder to find it, and it's causing a lot of extra unnecessary work for the moderators. -
J.Viewz – Muse Breaks (Deeplay Records, 2005)
Trolsk replied to Frontier Psychiatrist's topic in 2005
Sometime last year I really discovered J.Viewz. When ever I found his music on some compilation it always stood out compared to the rest. All the tunes I could find by him where excellent; sound quality, ideas, atmospheres, melodies, just great stuff! Unfortunately Muse Break's fails to deliver. The sound quality is there, but almost all songs are littered with the sickly-sweet singing. Plain awful! I'll keep on locking for those odd J.Viewz tunes without singing, this one will be deleted though. -
Calx can create some nice pictures, but so far I think he hasn't managed to catch the vibe of the music with his covers and that's quite fundamental.

You made yourself perfectly clear, some people just hit reply before they've actually read the post...
