I was thinking about something lately. All good music I really love is released between 1999- 2003. Now DJ's now only play music from 2004-2005. Old skool parties play music from 1994-1998. So what we need are organisers that create "MID"-skool parties. I'll be going to Sri Lanka in April. I'm hired as a sound director to record a docu about child soldiers that were used by rebels. I'll be in Sri Lanka for 14 days and i have 3 days off, weekends mostly. Of course i'm curious about some psy-scene cause i have never been at any party outside Europe. Someone who has been there and knows the places to be?

WORD! I like that song very much too. It's one of those tracks that will be on the compilation of the "best of electronic" in the year 2105. I hardly listen to the genre but that track is a classic! age of love - age of love is another one. I've got the original on CD but i'm still looking for the harder danceable remix.

I would kidnap Simon posford, Aphex twin & Liam Howlett. Throw them into a pool of acid & then drop them in a chamber filled with all the best audio gear of the world and release what comes out of that cooperation. *dreams on*

Psychedelic is a word invented by Dr. Timothy Leary. He used it for the first time and it wasn't a musical term back then but a scientific term to describe the effect of mushrooms etc. psychedelic has 2 words psyche & delia or maybe psyche - delirium. The music industry just used it later on to describe certain genres. But I think all music is psychedelic. Some genres are just more psychedelic then others. The special thing about psytrance & goatrance is not the psychedelic sounds & flashes but the trance, the deeper, stronger, longer & more intense the trance, the more psychedelic the music is.

I bash full OFF cause i'm ignorant and i love to bash it just for fun & to kill some time. + I simply don't care about it. KILAAAAAAAAARGH I have a question for Rain: Why should we suddenly all have to agree that there is good full on? Isn't that a personal opinion? Why do you even care about what we think? You put too much energy in trying to convince someone which is all lost energy.

I think it's more something like: much downloads --> everybody knows about the music --> flood of live acts, 50% more then that would have survived without downloads --> possibility for rock star attitudes cause of the internet.

Penta - tracks terra 1, lost in space & 1190. is very good full on. On a decent sound system this music is extremely psychedelic!!! I can even say (without a doubt) that penta is the best full on live act of the moment. Crystal clear sounds & dreamy atmosphere. all the rest is crap imo menog, rinkadink, shift, twisted system, artifakt etc etc OMG, i saw them all live and it was awefull every single time. It sounds like a cat that gets strangled to me. And i'll tell you one thing about Menong, he makes 2 kinds of music, one that is very good, psychedelic and fun to listen to and one that is easy to mix live, danceable but flat. So the sad thing about menog is that you will never hear his best tracks in a live set but he will sound completely different then you expected. very dissapointing imo. But I can understand that it's hard to bring psy live.
