I'm looking for small, cozy festivals all over the world of at least 2 nights long and max 2000 ppl in the summer of 2006. Festivals like elexiria in Funland or TC romania are prefect. where is that hidden gold in the psyscene this year? Cause I don't like big crowds. tell me.

yay! I got S3D max this afternoon. That app kicks butt! I think i'm in love! Here's some of the stuff I made today exploring the posibilities. I can't believe i wasted all this time trying to code algorithms in ultrafractal to use it as a 3D drawing tool which is almost impossible for me cause i lack knowlegde of maths. S3Dmax does the same in windowinterface and easy to use. These are screenshots of animations. 3D render with S3DMAX +additional FX in afterFX.

This topic keeps coming up on all psy-forums all over the world. I'll just post what I always post. A few years ago I lived in a studenthome and my neighbour was a sporter with great love for Jimi/marley music. So off course we could get along pretty well. One day we were smoking some delicious vegetables and talking about psy & trance. He said he wanted to try and use it as a training metronome, he ran 4 times a week and participated in local championships. Back in those days most psy-music was 140-144. melodic goa trance. He discovered it was the perfect tempo to train on. He didn't get tired and ran at a constant highspeed tempo. Without the music he wiould automatically try to run harder and eventually that will make him mental & physically slower cause he gets tired. now, what the hell am i trying to say: look at achieving a trance state as throwing a ball as far as you can, you have to find the 45° curve and then you can go as far as you want with limited, almost no energy. I think the most remarkable thing about trance states is that you hardly use energy and can go on as long as you like to. I'm not even sure i ever experienced a real trance state, I always drink, smoke etc at parties which disturbs the flow of energy. Dancing like maniac on substances is more mmhh...hypnosis? Which is also fun off course but very bad for your body and it drains all your energy.

OK then, you want future buddha's kind of stuff? check the schlabbadeurst compilations. And check the first Elixiria compilation( & other suomi stuff). I remember a good "post-nuclear" track on the comp but i forgot the name and i'm too lazy too research it.

I know exactly what you mean with agressive music, I hate it myself and i have been looking all over for good dark psy My favs are Procs, ghreg on earth & Freaking. And personally I think if you want that kind of atmosphere you'd better check out the hardtek scene. That's all about post-nuclear night-atmosphere. And a few weeks ago this one got stolen Clicky I remember that around late 2004 i did 40 parties, back then i used to count the parties, but i lost track of it. I'm pretty curious actually to the exact amount, i'm going to count them all this weekend when i find some spare time.

I'm not a Dj but does deco count to tell you how i started? It's a funny story actually... i'll be fair & straight to the point I went to a party and took drugs, saw this backdrop and thought, OH MY GOD!!! I must have it. I could buy it... mmmhhh too expensive I could steal it... nope, not my style So a few days later I took my bed leek(leek? engrish?? the stuff over your mattress) I took some sissors and ripped it into pieces of 80*80cm Then i went to the store and bought some fluoro textile paint and started making my own ultrapsychedelic flashy backdrop. (btw, the one i loved som much was a backdrop by fluororobotanics and it was destroyed in the morning, i guess the wind did it.) It didn't went well in the beginning. Here is a photo of my very first psy painting, made at 3th of August 2003 So 14 days later i had made 15 of these little paintings & even made a bigger one of 2m*1m. I posted some pics on psygarden.be and an organised mailed me to ask if i wanted to hang them on a small party. For the belgians: it was Lies birthday party in the infamous prins marginaal @Lier. now, 3 years later, at 10 dec 2005 i did another party with the same organisers. BUt this time with +60 paintings (the total amount of paintings ever made is +100), 20 gig visuals & Penta live delivering the tunes. I made alot of progress in those few years. Unfortunatly I don't have much time anymore to paint like i used to, there is this ugly thing called reality and it keeps bothering me over & over again. I've got tons of designs to make but no time. I'm buzy all day, leave the house at 6.30 and come home at 21.00. But the stuff i have to do ( promotional movies, recording sound, commercials, etc) is at least as fun as painting, only more professional, alot more social communication (and stress, deadlines, deadlines, deadlines). But i guess i like stress, rrrrrrrr. That's it!!! I finally understand myself after writing this post. I'm an obsessed workaholic and stress fuels me. When the excitement, curiosity and stress is gone i close the chapter and throw myself into another adventure. Penta live= best act you'll EVER see. he's one of a kind. He's my nr 2 best live act i saw, hallucinogen is first Do you also have recommodations for the genre more intelligent, non-full-on melodic psy??? artists like menog, fractal glider, talamasca, It was considered full on back when it was released but it's definatly a different genre as the full on released today. I'm just wondering if it still exists
