So who's stressed these days??? I'll raise my own hand. God damn, 15 years ago I just had no idea that life could be this stressful. Marriage, kids, a job, family, health issues, money, fuck!!! My wife is sick so cannot work. This means I have to keep or increase my position at work. Work is a toxic waste dump and I fucking hate every single day, but it pays enough to stay alive and keep my family basically OK. If my wife could work, then I wouldn't need to be in this position. I could just be much further down the ladder and not need to care about anything. I'd also have more time and would be able to go to the gym and exercise regularly. I fucking hate my job, actually that's not really true, I just really fucking hate my boss. She is the worst human being that has never murdered someone (as far as I know) Home life sucks, my daughter has an anxiety disorder which has stopped her eating and at 10 years old she is 10KG underweight, I have been doing everything to make her feel better, but at every turn, there is the mum to fuck it all up and make her take 10 steps back. I have to work so for a lot of the time, it's just the two of them. My daughter has literally told me "if you were the one staying at home every I don't think I would have these problems" When I am off for an extended time, she always gets better, then I have to go back to work and she has to spend time with her mum and she goes right back to anxiety central I know that whenever I come back from work that my wife will be waiting, like a spider, to pounce on me a complain about everything to make me feel like shit. I got back at 12:30 today and went to take a shower, came up and she asked me "did you wash you feet well" clearly saying that my feet smell. I had just fucking washed my feet, they did not smell but she creates these things to bitch about. Most recently she has complained that where I sit on the sofa smells of poop, as if, I don't wipe my ass well enough and this then seeps into the sofa. She complains that she needs to wash the sofa cover because of it etc. Well, for the last week, every time I take a shit, I have sat on her pillow and fucking ground my ass into that pillow as hard as I can. Surely if my ass smells like shit so much, her pillow would smell right? But she has never seen me do this so, she smells nothing. This is just one example for the fucking insanity I have to deal with. Honestly I am just waiting for my daughter to get to an age where she can take care of herself, so we can just move away from her mum and live our lives in peace. We've discussed it, but she's only 10 at the moment and I don't think I can work as long hours as I do now and her look after herself and a house. But also, every day spent with the insane witch is making both of us worse and worse. So how can I reduce stress? My current method is buying wine and snacks and drinking and eating until the wee hours (like right now, just had a bottle of wine, some cheese, crisps, meat) but overall this just makes things worse. If the morning version of me could control all decisions, then it would all be good, but evening me is a dick and makes bad choices every time. Fuck him. I need something to replace the booze, I need something to replace the lack of doing something. I am not afraid of drugs if they work, but there's nothing doctors here prescribe. Any help would be much appreciated.

A nice set of headphones can often get you the sound quality your after without needing to spend as much as you'd have to spend on speakers. It's also nicer for your neighbours π

It's sad that I have to resurrect a 23 year old (TWENTY THREE) thread to get the discussion moving. This track is still one of my all time favourites, but is there anything recent that feels like this?

Don't you mean best buy??? Lol, I really liked this album "Nothing like the rain" is killer Anyone, what hated albums on this thread to you love? On the first page alone I have already seen Planet BEN - Silver and Son Kite - Perspectives of... that some people hated but I absolutely love. What albums are polarising?

I have always thought this was such a stupid comment that so many people say. Almost all music sounds dated, it sounds like the era it was made in. I can almost understand with early electronic music made on substandard machines and with bad mixing, but when something just sounds like the era it was made in, why is that a bad thing? Do people listen to Mozart and say "so dated, sounds like it's from the industrial revolution"? For me, Are You Shpongled? Is a timeless classic, it sounds like 90s chill and nostalgia. -
As the weather is cooling down I wanted to get some decent over ear headphones for outside (closed back) Ended up getting the Sony MDR-Z7M2, which are supposed to be a more budget friendly version of their flagship MDR-Z1Rs. The main things I was looking for in an over ear headphone was wide soundstage (as close as possible to an open back) while maintaining isolation. I have gone off noise cancellation recently as decent isolation seems to do most of the job. Just trying them out now and they sound really good. Tested them with some Shpongle, some LSD (Butterfly Dawn) and now playing Pleiadians - IFO Live Love getting new headphones and re-listening to old music π

you just gotta love that crunchy clicky sound quality, even though theres some limiter distortion in the low end it sounds fantastic to me! crystalline. and classic deep melodic progression similar to Noone ever dreams. kick and bassline is just mwoah chefs kiss -
Astral Projection - For All Mankind - 19 september

yeah i understand. i think people slept on amen when it came out considering the different direction from their old style. it seemed to rub people the wrong way. and i get that. its not fully melodic as their older stuff, but to me it is a refined version of their melodic style. hard to explain but i loved it when it came out, while many AP fans hated it. -

amen is to me their best but i realise thats the unpopular opinion which is fine. i cant get enough of the nexus and electric blue. its funny you said you dont like enlightened evolution that much, that to me is the best from astral files by a mile! Thank god we all have different tastes or it would be a very boring world. -

I think it sounds dated. -
Kinder Der Erde - Evolution (12" Mix) (1995). Of course, itβs not a 20-minute track, but 13 minutes is still quite a substantial length.

These are all free/name your price on bandcamp. Definitely worth checking out

Does anyone have any experience with the Sony MDR-Z7M2? Now the weather is getting cooler, I am considering some closed back headphones instead of IEMs (can't do in summer as it would just be too sweaty) for when outside. They're a little expensive, but reviews seem to be positive but negatively compare them to Sony's flagship which is almost triple the price.

Mountains for the new album Astral Projection - For all Mankind

I like hills just fine, I just don't feel the same thing as majestic mountains. These are more homely but do not give me a sense of awe -

I think amen is exceptional. Chaos, Elecric Blue, Heavens Gate, Sticks and Stones, ETechnodrome and The Nexus are very good tracks. The best tracks of Astral Files are all except Enlightened Evolutio and Ambience, altough Ambience is very good and Enlightened Evolution is only good. -

I think it's not. I prefer TiT 2, 3 and Astral Files. My favorites is from those years. Enlightened Evolution, Zero, In-Novation, People Can Fly, Utopia, Mahadeva and some more. =))
