Zen Baboon - Re-Visited http://kck.st/2u5WcGK https://digitalreprints.bandcamp.com/album/re-visited-kickstarter-project Amazing, isn't it? Digital Reprints has already 10 releases under her belt. That means You have contributed in bringing 10 amazing releases in our space-time continuum. So what now? One place we haven't yet visited is the Mediterranean. I know it's still the middle of winter (this side of the globe at least) but before you know it Spring will be here. And there is a duo, located in beautiful Portugal who know exactly what music to provide to lift your spirits and take you towards a sunny journey. That duo is known as Zen Baboon of course Henriq and Daniel released their debut album, Suber, in Elektric Dream Records on 2013. It was a fine mix of Chillout, Downtempo, Lounge and Ambient music, masterfully balancing between the two extremes without favouring one over the other. It was their first, and unfortunately, their last physical release. After the critical appraise of their debut album, followed releases on various compilations. It was 3 years later, in their own label (Baboon Clinic) that their second album was released. At the same year is when Zen Baboon became more productive releasing various EPs. In 2019 their last album saw the light. An astounding release of downtempo tunes accompanied by spoken words and poetry. But what about the music collectors out there? The fans that take pride on showcasing their collection and having an exhilarating feeling when they are actually holding a release in their hands? Probably you have already pledged even before you reached these words but in case you are new to Digital Reprints here is what you get. By helping us reach our goal you will take pride knowing that you helped bring a truly limited release to existence. A 4xCD digipack with the albums Origiro and Beat Generation and 2 discs with various tracks compiled by Henrique himself. But that's not all. Almost all the tracks will be alternate versions of the ones currently available. Either remastered, edited for this release or remixed for live shows. And just 100 copies worldwide. What else is there to ask? Oh yeah, 10 copies (only) will be signed by Henriq and Daniel.

Artist: Blisswave Title: Manvantara Label: Melusine Records Release Date: July 3, 2019 1. Manvantara 2. Into The Abyss 3. Dance of Shiva 4. Portal to Shambala 5. Interstellar 6. Blisswave - Manvantara (Continuous Album Mix) Blisswave Is Michele Leonard, a multi instumentalist who has a nack for producing glorious sounds and soothing landscapes. Manvantara starts of off with some super ethereal energy that for a short moment turns ominous before light synths come in to let us know that is all ok and that's the first minute and a half. So many feelings. The broken beat kicks us off into a track that will travel us through all the feelings of the rest of the album in one go. ~ Into the Abyss - Call of The Ones takes us through our paces of emotions just like the first track, only it has more time to delve into the ether of lightly clouded strange planets that we slowly wade through in a sense of complete dreamlike relaxation. A beautifully made piece that quite literally fills you with peace. That or an impending anxiety of the unknown. For me it was pure bliss. Dance of Shiva - Comes in hot with eastern melodies and a beat designed to pull you ever so smoothly from the tranquil state the last track just put you in. So enjoyable that the sonic soundscapes rush by you and the track is over before you know it. Portal to Shambala - Comes in off the back of Dance to Shiva seamlessly. A continuation of beats and rhythms that are 2 parts beautiful and 1 part shambalic vibrations. Interstellar - angelic and soft this track is everything it says it is. A trip into the warm and self-assuring parts of the atmos, where Oxytocin flows from your synapses with ease. Continuous Album Mix - What you are going to push play on if you have 3/4 of an hour up your sleeve and a whole lot of chillin' on the calender. ~ Blisswave has created a floating, dreamy & at times groovy extraordinaire. The first song really gives you a glimpse of what is to come so check it out to see if it's your cup of Chai Matcha. At the very least this is dream inducing morning symphony, at the most it's a deep, thoughtful & carefully curated group of tracks that are both fun and relaxing. https://melusinerecords.bandcamp.com/album/manvantara-24bits

psychill Avaris - "The Forgotten Language"
b.e.n. posted a topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Avaris - “The Forgotten Language” Axios Records proudly presents “The Forgotten Language”, a powerful downtempo psychedelic album of Avaris, a side project of one of the most established psychedelic trance artists today, Archaic. The central idea behind this album is a return to ancient myth that tells us about essential unity of all creatures: human beings, animals, trees and other non-human entities... According to this myth, all living beings could communicate with each other and as such celebrate the unified field of existence and meaning. This is the sacred language that allows a shaman to communicate with animal spirits and other spiritual entities. As a contemporary echo Avaris’ album offers us a translation of this language into a unique musical masterpiece that defines a true shamanic psychedelic experience, bringing us back to the roots and the unity with all beings and most importantly, with each other. 1. Label: Self-released Country: US Released: 22 Feb 2019 Style: Downtempo Bandcamp Tracklist: 1. Behold, A White Horse 05:18 2. Dancing On My Own Grave 04:51 3. Ringside At The Parthenon 06:04 4. The Archer 04:35 5. Forgotten Empires Never Forget 05:16 6. The Red Horse 05:12 7. Sword of War (Máchaira) 05:40 8. Reign & Bone 04:45 9. Rumpistol - Eyes Open Wide (Bluetech Remix) [feat. Ane Trolle] 04:03 10. A Blessed Release 04:17 11. The Black Horse 06:04 12. Tipping the Scales 07:16 13. Voice of the Four 06:01 14. The Darkest Year 05:27 15. In / Finite 03:20 16. The Pale Horse 05:08 17. Thalium 05:57 18. Into That Good Night 03:20 19. Unshackled 04:45 20. Fervent Descent 03:27 Here is a ton of new material from Evan Bartholomew, known as Bluetech. There is enough tracks to fit into two albums, but here it is all collected into one neat package. The style of the album is very interesting and will mostly speak to those who like a more electro-oriented stuff. There isn't much in terms of psychedelic music in here, but there are some tracks that would fit in that criteria. Anyway, if you know who Bluetech is, then you also know that he always delivers goods. REVIEW 1. Behold, A White Horse 05:18 What a fine opening track this is. It's very electroey, if I could use that term. It also has a very cool, almost 80's kind of melody. It just sounds so retro to me. Great stuff! 4/5 2. Dancing On My Own Grave 04:51 This next track continues in the same fashion - a slow-paced retro-electro. It's fun and short, and quite good to be honest. 4/5 3. Ringside At The Parthenon 06:04 The style changes in track #3. This time it's more trip-hop than electro, but it's just as good. The synths sound like Mathew Jonson, and since I like Jonson's techno, this track really speaks to me. 4/5 4. The Archer 04:35 It's interesting how all these tracks sort of sound the same, yet still have enough distinguishing details. Once again, this is a slow electro kind of track that has a fun little melody, and unfortunately, a very short running time. I just wish it was twice as long. 4/5 5. Forgotten Empires Never Forget 05:16 Great stuff here once again. Similar style as before. 4/5 6. The Red Horse 05:12 The mood changes in track #6 to a mellower one. But the beats are just as crisp and the synths are just as cool. 4/5 7. Sword of War (Machaira) 05:40 The mellow moods continue with some classy trip-hop beats. This is also the darkest track on the album yet. 4/5 8. Reign & Bone 04:45 Well, Bluetech just keeps on delivering. This is track #8 and it still feels fresh and exciting. Also, now we do get into a more traditional psychill environment here. At least that's how it feels to me. 4/5 9. Rumpistol - Eyes Open Wide (Bluetech Remix) [feat. Ane Trolle] 04:03 A pop song? Yup, a snynth-pop song to be exact. And it's totally fine, could be even considered a hit if it were released back in the 80s. 4/5 10. A Blessed Release 04:17 Well, here's a track that I've expected to hear: a beatless synthcapade, and it's gorgeous. But again, just too short for me. 4/5 11. The Black Horse 06:04 Technically, this would be the start of the second CD, and it is an opening worthy of the gods. Black Horse is one of the most beautiful tracks I've ever heard. It's so dreamy and sincere that I can't believe this track is real. Huge! Black Horse is definitely my favorite horse 5/5 12. Tipping the Scales 07:16 The first proper 4/4 piece. Obviously, it's not fast, but it is tipping more towards the dance genre, hence the title of the track I guess. 4/5 13. Voice of the Four 06:01 A rather subpar track, the first one that I don't really like. There is a bit of dissonance in the melodic structure, and it makes the whole listening experience underwhelming. 2/5 14. The Darkest Year 05:27 Ok, this one's a bit better, but it seems to be another dud. Well, I guess we've just enter the filler territory of the album. 3/5 15. In / Finite 03:20 A short track that strongly reminds me of Help Me by Timo Maas. It's an alright track. 3/5 16. The Pale Horse 05:08 Bluetech returns here to the electro sound of the first half of the album. Again, everything is tied with those gorgeous beats and vintage synths. There is also a little bit of 303 thrown in there, which only adds to the flavor. 4/5 17. Thalium 05:57 Thalium is very similar to The Pale Horse, right down to the structure and choice of sounds. And it's just as good. 4/5 18. Into That Good Night 03:20 A nice and short interlude track that starts to indicate the end of the album. It has the farewell mood done right. 4/5 19. Unshackled 04:45 This is the last proper track on the album coming before the outro. It's produced in the same slow electro style as most of the tracks before it. The only difference that it has a pretty catchy lead melody. 4/5 20. Fervent Descent 03:27 A very sad and slow beatless outro. A proper finisher for such an overwhelming album. 3/5 --- The Four Horsemen is a remarkable effort from Bluetech. This album is terrific, and almost every track is good. Obviously, the horse tracks are the best, but there are a few others as well that work extremely well. The best track on the album is The Black Horse. It's a very original piece of work, and it's also super catchy. I don't think I've heard anything like that before, at least not from Bluetech himself. So definitely a winner of this album. 4/5

Label: Cosmicleaf Records Country: Greece Released: 15 Feb 2019 Style: Ambient, Downtempo, Trip Hop Bandcamp Tracklist: 1. That Beautiful Somewhere feat Kerensa Stephens (Eguana Piano Remix) 04:50 2. No Vember 08:09 3. 56 07:59 4. Maluns - Bloodline Hunter (Side Liner Remix) 07:49 5. Edge 07:13 6. Cosmic Tone 06:40 7. Denside (with Dense) 06:47 8. Enigma 06:09 9. Dreamer feat Kerensa Stephens (Eguana Piano Remix) 06:32 Side Liner is Nick Miamis, a well established producer from Greece. This is Nick's 16th artist album, just think about it for the moment. This definitely makes him one of the most hard-working producers on the scene right now. At the same time he manages two labels, which deserves nothing but praise. No Vember mostly consists of slow progressive tracks with varying moods. People who are well familiar with Nick's sound will find no surprises here. The production is great as always, and if you're into slower melodic kind of trance, then I urge you to check it out. REVIEW 1. That Beautiful Somewhere feat Kerensa Stephens (Eguana Piano Remix) 04:50 The intro track has very soft and sad vocals. It's a full-fledged song with orchstral strings and piano that could fit the end-credits of a drama movie. It's actually unexpected to hear such a sentimental track in the very beginning of the album, but I can't deny its beauty. 4/5 2. No Vember 08:09 Now this is where the album actually starts for me. No Vember is filled with slow beats and cosmic melodies. This is the music you want to hear in the dusk, when the darkness settles and the stars start to appear in the nightsky. It has a very distinctive atmosphere that is simply unforgettable. No Vember is a fantastic track that warms my heart. 5/5 3. 56 07:59 I have no idea what the title refers to, but I like this track. It's very simple yet charming, and it has a very calming effect on me despite technically being a progressive dance track. 4/5 4. Maluns - Bloodline Hunter (Side Liner Remix) 07:49 This is a rather boring remix by Nick, which doesn't have that same spark as his original productions. It's very minimal in composition, and it left me completely unsatisfied. There is some intriguing bassline work going on in the second half, but it ain't enough. 2/5 5. Edge 07:13 Here's another minimal stomper, and this time it's a bit better than the previous track. It carries over several sweeping, lush sound effects throughout the course of the whole track that reminded me of the early Jean-Michel Jarre productions. This is a nice little number. 3/5 6. Cosmic Tone 06:40 Not much is happening in the first half of the track, but then Nick introduces a gorgeous melody that took me completely by surprise. I really like these pleasant unexpected twists. 3/5 7.Denside (with Dense) 06:47 This track has a very smooth melodic intro, and the beat is a lot softer and slower this time. Sveral new instruments add more flavor to an already excellent track in the second half that instantly hook me. Definitely one of the best tracks on the album. 4/5 8. Enigma 06:09 I guess the title of the track refrences the 90's New Age band Enigma, because the beats are terribly similar to what Michael Cretu had been using back in the days. As for the track itself it's a decent chill-out piece with no particularly strong lead melody, but some nice atmospheric sounds are present, so all-in-all it's pretty nice for what it is and does. 3/5 9. Dreamer feat Kerensa Stephens (Eguana Piano Remix) 06:32 The sad piano and Kerensa Stephens' vocals return in the final track. It's very similar in mood to the opening track, and it's just as beautiful... 4/5 --- There are no terribly complicated productions on the album, most of the tracks are rather simple and most of them achieve everything they need to be. This is not the best album Side Liner has produced, but it's totally decent and it deserves to be heard. The best track on the album is the title track No Vember. It has an excellent melody that immediately sets that special mood. I wish there were more bright tracks like that on the album, but Im still happy with the experience. 3.5/5

Reflections of memories and dreams, all those stories and good hopes... Close your eyes and recall some of those mystical moments that are left in the distant past ... Everything has changed, except the silent, still witness within us. Experience of change is only possible on the canvas of the stillness, as well as the light is only real on the canvas of the dark. The change itself, with all the fractal worlds of all possible, always changing forms, is like a tiny little invisible dot on the surface of the vast omnipresent land of stillness. When you realize this, you're free. There's nothing to fear, nothing to lose, nothing to get, and a lot to give. You're free to give. You give, you live.... Do you remember? This album is dedicated to those mystical moments when we're not looking from the mind, when we are what we really are, like if there's no time. If it takes time, it's the mind. If it takes no time, it's Nirvana... Peace. Released March 6, 2019 Album art by Daniel Spacek. Bandcamp - https://ambientium.com/album/city-of-memories

Label: Self-released Country: UK Released: 22 Jan 2019 Style: Downtempo, Dub, Ambient Bandcamp Tracklist: 1. Exotic Soup 06:53 2. Trippling peak. 10:15 3. Cell Tower Suntan. 06:15 4. Luminata 06:30 5. Careful with that bronze age burial mound 09:55 6. Mycelium messiah complex 07:39 7. Stranger on the not sure 08:02 8. Organic Mechanic 16:40 Organismic is a British psychill duo consisting of Craig Musham and Simon Lord. This is their first official album, but they had previously released tracks on compilations at Interchill Records and Liquid Records. The album has a fantastic cover art, very original. But what about the music? Well, there are some parts of the album that work very well, and others not that much. But it's my personal opinion, so in order to understand the album better, here's a track-by-track breakdown of Primordial Super Fly. REVIEW 1. Exotic Soup 06:53 The first piece on the album is very slow and mysterious. I like the beats a lot, they're thin and jumpy. Actually, everything sounds very pleasing here. Too bad there is no actual theme of the track that you could follow, and it's a bit all over the place, but it will do just fine for an opening track. 3/5 2. Trippling peak. 10:15 Another slow start, but this time with a melodic element. The first beats can be heard at around 3 minute mark and a new element appears: a wobbly dubstep bassline, and it's completely disoriented in a good way. That's really creative, I like it. In the second half Organismic adds an acoustic guitar to the piece, which adds a bit of sentimentality to it. It also contrasts with the harsh bassy background, but again it all sounds harmonious and in no way ruins the track. I'm happy to rate this track high enough. 4/5 3. Cell Tower Suntan. 06:15 I'm having a hard time understanding this one. It's got lots of weird sounds and effects, but it doesn't go anywhere. The track is stylish and definitely interesting, but ultimately meaningless. 3/5 4. Luminata 06:30 I don't know why but Luminata strongly reminds me of Aphex Twin's older productions. It's not a fast track, but the way beats develop are reminiscent of Richard's style. It's as if someone took an AFX record and slowed it down. I like it. 4/5 5. Careful with that bronze age burial mound 09:55 Strange title to a strange track. It starts off with a nice flute, and then it drowns into nothingness and never returns. That flute set something up, but then it loses its way and for the rest of the pretty long track it gives us nothing but hints of that introductory melody. As a whole the track isn't bad, just puzzling. 3/5 6. Mycelium messiah complex 07:39 Not a bad second half, but the first half is way too slow and boring for me. And again there is no distinct theme here, just sketches. 2/5 7. Stranger on the not sure 08:02 Floaty and swirly at the same time, track #7 is trippy and, to my surprise, quite relaxing. This is probably the most orthodox piece on the entire album. But I still like my psychill a bit more meaty and juicy, so can't rate this too high. 3/5 8. Organic Mechanic 16:40 The last track is pure ambient with no rhythm whatsoever. Maybe I'm the wrong person to evaluate it, because this kind of beatless, spacey stuff isn't my thing at all, but I could barely finish it. 1/5 --- Primordial Super Fly isn't a bad album, it is above average. I would say that this was a decent effort with some interesting concepts, and I really like the overall style of the album. I only wish it was more consistent with those ideas and didn't waste time on 16 minute long beatless soundscapes. But that's only my personal gripe. The two best tracks on the album are Trippling Peak and Luminata. Both of them were great and really show the talent behind Organismic. But I still have to consider the rest of the tracks that were not on the same level. So my rating is: 3/5
