  1. I really, REALLY want to punch (or rather bitchslap) Spamba!!
  2. Next Ethereal track: Unclear Nuclear RadiAtion (Sterilized Mix) feat. Komandir Karlovsky and El Fredrico!
  3. KALIMBA!! Imba - the Annoyer of Worlds Imbalalaika
  4. I will be there in spirit... just to annoy Imba and complain about his gypsy mustache!! /Fredrik
  5. Another vote for RME here. I'm using both a Multiface I and Multiface 2 (for two separate rigs) and consider them to be amongst the better investments for the studio . I will most probably add the RME ExpressCard interface to able to use them with a laptop. As for other equipment purchases, the most recent was a Waldorf Blofeld. /Fredrik
  6. Then allow us to shed some light on this . We're alive and well! Work and family still tends to eat away all our precious spare time, as it has done during the previous years, so we're working on various stuff for the album whenever we can get away from our everyday duties. Also, The Etherstudio has been knocked out of action for quite some time but we almost have it up and running again. We can't give you an ETA, but this year we will try to step up the pace with the intent of having the album finished in late 2009. However, we're not going to rush things either and will spend the time needed to arrive at an album we're happy with //Carl & Fredrik
  7. I don't know anything about the current situation with Tranceform but I can at least confirm what was written about Ethereal in the other thread (except for the part about a project with merr0w.. then again, who knows ). I'm in the process of finishing the remaining university courses so the real work on the new album will start early in the summer. Also, we will do one more track for Metapsychic before that /Fredrik
  8. Nice to see another Sonar-user here! I noticed you're using Sonar 6. How's it running on your system? I've yet to shell out for the S6 upgrade so I'm curious to hear any opinions if the upgrade is worth getting or not Anyway, here's a screenshot from Sonar 5. This song is finished, hence all the Archived tracks in the screenshot: And here's another one I took during the final recording of the same track: I didn't dare using the PrintScreen-key for that one so I used a digital camera instead
  9. I usually take at least two weeks to finish a track. A basic rough MIDI-mix version can sometimes be done in one day but that rarely happens. A decent amount of the time (maybe around 60% of the total time) is spent on mixing plus finetuning and tweaking, though, it's dangerous to tweak too much and too long since that almost always make the track sound like crap
  10. Currently listening to Front Line Assembly - Unknown Dreams from the album Implode.
  11. As my first post, and in view of the recent unfortunate hostilities here, I would like to deliver a message of peace! And now, I will download the release and check it out /Fredrik // Ethereal
