I suppose every one of us knows the huge track "Sundown", and especially the Ionizer Remix of it, eh? Well, anyway, it's good!
Then we have the rest of their stuff. I don't like any of it. God's Eye is OK, but not much more.
What do you think?
10 can't be that bad. I'll have to listen to some samples...
UPDATE 1: Ok, I heard Dancing Galaxy dynamic remix. Ho ho. Ho fucking ho.
UPDATE 2: Mahadeva remix by John 00 Fleming. Congratulations, John! You managed to fuck up a classic that shouldn't be possible to fuck up. And you sound like Holymen!
I'll try one more before crushing my plans on buying this.
UPDATE 3: Nilaya (Melicia Remix) is.......saaaaaasyt7u6hy666666666666q *POST INTERRUPTED*
It would really work at a party. I never could've imagined russians making music this good.
Perhaps you could boost those melodies a bit, I don't know... clean up production a bit, it's somewhat muddy now... other than that, I have nothing to complain about. This beats about every recent track in the same category.
Thumbs up.
It's just "Goans" I think.
Anyway, if you call Muses Rapt (ESPECIALLY the new album!) goa, then Paul Van Dyk is goa too.
As for something completely unrelated, the production on You is so bad even I can match and beat it. I. Me, amateur deluxe. It gives some hope to me of actually get to release a CD sometime.
Regardless of what people think, I still say it's goa with a healthy dose of club trance. A release that really defines my definition of goa is Rock Bitch Mafia by Green Nuns.
Damn it, if that album is goa then Paul Van Dyk is goa... it's kind of similar. And I'm serious.
I understand if you say it's your thing, but it's not goa. OK... Man With No Name still sounds a bit like goa. But god damn. The Muses Rapt does not. Not in the least. This is melodic trance.
(and trust me, I know melodic when i hear it... I came from that scene!)
Consider this: Shpongle changed their style quite a lot between albums 1&2. They have made 2 full albums and 4 (soon 3) tracks released somewhere else than their albums. And all of those tracks were great. And every one of them was completely unlike the other.
What is the chance that Shpongle will disappoint us, or repeat themselves? Next to zero.
