  2. The US has a number of ambient legends/synthesists/sound gods like Michael Stearns, Steve Roach, Robert Rich, Lustmord who have been involved in electronic music since late 1970s or early 1980s. European artists like Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and Brian Eno laid the foundations for the genre, but those American guys took it to the next level in many ways.
  3. Hi twisted records email = mail@twisted.co.uk I wanna be friend ok
  4. Vangelis - Theme from Antarctica Also one of his best and most beautiful pieces. The melodies shine in their simplicity and the piece is so well crafted that it's hard not to like. He was a truly inspired musician back then.
  5. REDSHIFT - TURNING TOWARDS US Fantastic. What a sound.

    Jedi or Trekkie?

I've seen all TNG and VOY episodes at least once and all DS9 episodes twice DS9 has a big and well developed storyline and much more developed characters and relationships... the story is much larger in scope and deeper than all the other Treks in every possible way... although it has to be said the series really kicks off at season 4, when Sisko gets bald and Worf joins the crew... season 4-7 is simply epic, with a number of totally awesome episodes that are IMO greater than anything else in Star Trek (series or movies) really, DS9 is the best Star Trek has to offer
  9. L.S.G. - The Hidden Sun Of Venus (Oliver Lieb Remix) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCDoYfLqwkM&fmt=18
  10. Biosphere - Substrata, good call... very overrated Juno Reactor, last one Prodigy, last two Dark Side of the Moog X, after the fantastic part IX I had very high hopes for part X of this cool series but it was a big letdown with too much filler material

    Jedi or Trekkie?

it's a bit apples and oranges but anyway... Star Trek. Because of Deep Space Nine (best TV show of all time without a doubt) and The Next Generation & Voyager series and First Contact movie. of course I love the original Star Wars forever as well

    Apocalypto

well yeah, that's what I was trying to say...we told you what you could expect if you look at it that way, it's still pretty good for what it is although the main character had super human powers
  14. Chopin - Revolutionary Etude
  15. Steve Roach - Dream Body i'm speechless...this is soundscape heaven

    Gothic Movies

I always had this idea about a movie based on the old Castlevania games... the atmosphere, the music, the monsters... it would be the most goth thing ever 'Van Helsing' could have been something like that, but it's crap
  20. Vangelis - Pulstar (1976) Absolute classic. My favorite of all his 1970s music. Vangelis - Spiral (1977) The opening arpeggio is the best. The part at 1:20-2:40 is a bit annoying and the rest of the track is nice.

    Apocalypto

I liked it very much but it's just a fictional action filled jungle-drama that's partially pretty gruesome and intense.....from the viewpoint of the main character(s) it could give a slight idea about some aspects of that time and culture other than that there's nothing historical about it the people who bash this movie hate it for historical reasons...bad portrayal of the culture or whatever, but that's just a non-argument because I doubt it was meant as a historically interesting or accurate movie...
  22. Tetsu Inoue - Chill In Chill Out Floating on clouds through a heavenly world in pure extacy.
  23. Suspended Memories - Earth Island Fantastic
  24. Ash Ra Tempel - Deep Distance (1976) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oinoP5qd9LI&fmt=18 wonderful track I just love the warm sounds and feelgood melodies
