Well, making a good psy kbbb is not easy at all. I mean, it's easy to take a kick sample and s Sylenth preset and make something that sounds remotely like it, but making sure it's fat, it's groovy, it doesn't suddenly turn into crap when you check it at another sound system takes time.
Actually Psilocybian, Braincell, some of the Nano guys are very creative at sound design, I like their trippy/glitchy metalic sounds. But without proper melodies it's hard for me to actually enjoy their music, I can listen to a track or two and even somehow like it but it quickly becomes tiresome. I'm waiting the melodic full-on wave to come back (yet another unpopular opinion, i know) injected with these modern edgy sounds.

I made a new version of the track, tried to get cleaner mix, tighter bassline etc.
What do you think about this? Does it sound like goa and is it any good?

I am more confused with new school. Every other styled evolved and improved almost till perfection with technology and tools that are here now except Goa. Pick any style and listen to sound quality then listen to new Goa... it's like most amateurish sounding style. Can't we do it better? And why?
I'm not sure about amateurish sounding. Ra, Artifact 303, Psy-H-Project have very good production. Compared to typical modern psytrance their mixes sounds less clean but I think this is on purpose, goa it supposed to be "wall of sound" kind of thing. Some other producers like Filteria, Crossing Mind or Mindsphere (older tracks) sound more raw, I don't like it but I think it is also a deliberate choice and not because they don't know how to mix their stuff. TBH, very loud and clean "in your face" sound of modern psytrance, especially these ultra-sharp laser-like basslines, annoy the hell of me, I don't find it enjoyable or even danceable. I prefer the warmer sound of Ra or Artifact303 by far.
However the 90's goa is indeed a "closed chapter" as someone said. There is only so much you can do by tweaking the cutoff and resonanse knobs on a subtractive synth playing a Phrygian pattern. It may sound very cool but it all becames too samey at some point. I actually think the transition from goa to psytrance/full-on in late 90's was mainly caused by the rise of digital synths, such as Access Virus, offering new kinds of sounds with digital "robots/spaceships/aliens" aesthetics. So people moved on from the tried and tested goa sounds to the new territories. Contrary to that, it seems that many newschool goa producers intentionally avoid wavetable synths, FM synths, bitcrushers, vowel filters, digital distortions and other modern sounding stuff and use only small selection of subtractive analogue sounds. Apparently they want to stay true to the original goa trance sound but in my (unpopular) opinion this contributes to the overal sameness and the lack of evolution in newschool goa. I'd love to hear more goa trance with some unusual tricky digital sounds in it.

- Full-on is good. Especially the melodic/morning kinds of it. Especially melodic/morning tracks made between 2003-2010.
- Some Ananda Shake tracks are excellent.
- Not all Electro Sun tracks are vomit-inducing.

Well, this may be because of nostalgia, but I really enjoy most these tracks. They have that "something" I love about mid-00 morning fullon (and I guess this exactly what some other people can't stand). Lush chords, dreamy melodies, groovy basslines, spaced-out sound effects, everything I like in right proportions.The 5th track is my favourite and tracks 2-4, 6, 8, 10 are not bat at all.

I like this one, actually more that the original.
Lyctum's Mahadeva version is quite good as well. I didn't know about that Starfinder remix (and never heard the original either) but I like it too. Actually these prog guys are often quite competent in production but short of good musical ideas so if they manage to find a good mateiral for remixing the results have all chances to be awesome.
That Liquid Soul/Overlords track sounds too much like Paul Van Dyk to me, I don't mind some cheesy trance melodies in psy but this one goes way too far.

Well, this is definitely an interesting release, different enough from modern psy and goa standards and quite good on its own. First the track length (I mean the original mix). At first I was like "who on Earth would make a 15 minutes long psy track" but after I had listened trough the whole thing I understood that the length is just fine for the whole track to evolve as it should. All parts the slowly unfold, each of them tells its own story and they flawlessly transform into each other. The track has three "chapters". The first 8 minutes don't have a prominent musical theme, what we have here is a very strong, dark and mysterious atmosphere created by various echoing synths and sounds contrasted by steady beat. The second "chapter" is built aroung a beautiful hypnotic melody which eventually fades away into some dark sonic landscape slowly evolving into the closing chapter where he have another melodic line, this time more dark and furious. All it all the track creates a very strong "journey" feeling, I'd say it requires close listening. The "autopilot mode", as RTP said, is a good description of the mood the track puts me in.
Production-wise it's not perfect, I wouldn't call it an example of clean mixing and tight production but probably this is not really needed in this case. Maybe ultra-clean modern production would actually kill some of the atmosphere.
The "radio edit' is for those who have short attention span. It has all the main themes but they don't work in the same way as they do in the long version. I'd say this short version just goes to show that some tracks may not be made short.
The live version is the hardest bit, it has some extra synth lines which could be interesting but this time the mix is really bad and sorry to say I think even the Colin's mastering didn't manage to fully compensate for this. Anyway, I guess it may give that "underground party" feeling to some, so I wouldn't call it useless.
I like the cover RTP posted, it really fits the music and in some sense it gives you an impression of what you are going to hear - something not perfectly produced but trippy and soulful.

I like the overall vibe, but i think there are some things to be imporved. It sounds too repetitive, some variations to the main melody wouldn't hurt, as well as some more patterns, sounds etc in various parts of the track. Also it sounds overcompressed and overcrowded at times, e.g. in some parts you have the main lead and that squelchy thing playing equally loud so the mix sounds messy and destroyed by brutal limiting to boot.

Actually I like the original Delirium song. I agree that it may be called cheesy but it's sort of a classic tune for me. This Andromeda remix is really good, it has the right spaced-out vibe, good groove, all characteristics of good progressive trance but this moment from 4:50 just sounds musically wrong, bad autotune and totally unfitting chord progression. I understand that thay might want to "show middle finger" to all the wrong people who had remixed this song, or something like that, but they could have done it in some other way (e.g. by putting some porn samples into it, this still would be better).
@Padmapani I had known this Atmonizer remix long before I heard the original track. Always loved it because it is not very melodic but has very strong atmosphere. Actually now the original track sounds "wrong" to me, I agree that this melody is nice on its own but to me it sounds like it should not be here.
@RTPThis Tiesto remix is very old (and it's some other track starting at 5:18, agree that it is horrible), trance/EDM in general sounds way worse now. I stell feel somehow nostalgic for early/mid 00's normal trance cause it was my gatweay to electronic music but what is called "trance" today has nothing to do with what trance originally used to be. Actually it's no different to "futureprog", Vini Vici, Berg, Neelix and the like as it is no more "trance" than these are "psy".

Yes, Adromeda sometimes does very strange things in otherwise great tracks. The ones you posted are still ok, could do without the samples/vocals but they don't ruin the tracks. I think this one is the worst case, it's pretty good before 4:50 (if you are into proggy stuff ofc) but after that it suddenly becomes a total mess.
Just in case, there is also a version of Atmonizer where most porn samples are omitted (and i like it better overall)

Well, psytrance and politics ... for me these are two totally disconnected things. Some tongue-in-cheek references to real-world things in samples, track names, etc may have its place but generally psytrance is not about this. I don't want to say that I'm not insterested in any politics myself, but this is not what I'm looking for in psy.

Well, I understand what you are talking about. One thing I like about psy/goa is that it is very depersonalized - at least supposed to be. Bacially you don't care who made this or that track and for what reasons and what they wanted to say, there is just music and nothing else. You can pretend it was made by aliens or was automatically generated by a mysterious AI in the depth of global web.
Some people are taking this idea even further. E.g., this guy makes generative psytrance with an app which he has written himself. So basically the music comes from nowhere, totally disconnected from anyone's personality

If you are on Windows I'd recommend G-Sonique Ultrabass, it has predefined velocity -> cutoff assigment and has just the right sound for all common "psybass" duties and it's quite cheap. But Sylenth will also do the job, you need to assign an envelope and the velocity to the cutoff and add some filter drive.
The bass pattern in that Suduaya track is almost straight sixteens like KbBB where K is kick and "b" has lover velocity than "B", I'd also very slighly move both "B"s to the left along the grid so that they would start few milliseconds earlier, which make the bassline a bit more swingy/groovy. Also you may add a bit of sidechaining from the kick or a ghost kick (it's optional, may or may not help).
The bass in this track is made in the above way, it's faster (137 bpm) but has similar groove.

The best release I've come across in 2018. Very deep, melodic but without cheese, psychedelic with a touch of morning euphoria. Very well produced to boot. For me it's much better than most today's commercial releases. Huge thanks for sharing this (especially for free) and I hope to hear more music from you in the future.

In the late 00's "commercial psytrance" mostly meant a specific subspecies of full-on with big euphoric melodies and lots of normal trance elements. It was more accessible to casual listeners than regular psytrance and therefore the artists making it were often accused at selling out. I mean Astrix, Ananda Shake, Ephedrix and the like.
Actually many of my favourite tracks are from these times/subgenre. Mind you, I've got really bad taste
Todays commercial psytrance is "futureprog". It consists of big phat bass, some squelches, more big phat bass, a mantra sample, triplets (with big phat bass ofc), some white noise FXes and even more big phat bass. Like this
Perhaps I'm getting old but I would rather listen to Michele Adamson trying to sing than this.

Well, probably my favourite full-on album ever made is going to be Hypnoxock - Synthetic Resurrection. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it's made with extreme attention to details, the melodies are catchy and full of emotions (yes, more on the cheesy side but in a good way) and the production is so ridiculously good. Since nobody, including Hypnoxock themselves, is making this kind of full-on anymore I can safely say that it is never going to be topped.
