  1. Hmm. I never heard MDK meaning "Mission: Deliver Kindness" before. http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/MDK
  2. Ugh. I listened to this all day. This is really bad. There is literally no kickdrum in most of the tracks. The 25-80hz range is completely empty in most tracks. The Drum&Bass part is ok, but its almost always an 4 bar loop over and over without any variation. The mastering is bad, it sounds too low, and muffled. Bad release.
  3. Its from the movie talked about in this link http://www.quickmeme.com/meme/3q6y9m
  4. Thats terrible logic. So just because they are "happy", doesnt mean they can be happier? K.
  5. Hmm. Whats funny about Murder Death Kill? I dont get it.
  6. Although I wasnt a member then, I remember that drama very clearly. It was a damn shame. IIRC, He left after the drop was spilled when another member of the site was barraded and bullied into leaving; so he felt that that was it and he left also. Respect to that man.. And his music speak for itself..
  7. Radi I dont use facebook. Never have and never will. Also, I wouldnt just wanna talk to ONE person, but rather a chatroom full of people. Insejn Allright Ill try join that room and see who is there. edit: Im here now and its completely empty.
  8. I understand you would want a common theme. Naturally. But the texts.. There are a lot of nice clean and minimal fonts that are very easy to read that is NOT times new Roman. Know what i mean? And the backgrounds are nice I'm not even criticizing those. But the texts I'm sure you could spend another 5 minutes on.
  9. Hmm. To whoever is doing the artworks for neogoa. They all look almost identical and they all use really boring stock fonts. There are some really cool fonts on the Internet i suggest you check out. Also the effects is almost identical cover to cover. Bloom, glow, shadow and that's about it. The backgrounds are not bad but the text you really need to work on. Other than that it's a pretty nice album Trance to move you What's the deal with the "mdk" "murder death kill" tag after your posts?
  10. Spot on Mfg has a few muddy tracks!
  11. Full On is often spoken of as the black sheep of goatrance. Its not psy and its not Goa. Its somewhere in between. But there are a few great full on tracks out there. Post your favorites! few of mine are: Electric Universe - Conscious Electric Universe - The Prayer Electric Universe - Peak <-This is probably my favorite. Talamasca - Spiritual Renewal Talamasca ft Yuman & Ben-J - Three Smoking Gorillas Wizzy Noise - Haiku Remix <-Epicness Silicon Sound - Memento <-Honorable mention due to its amazingly subtle and minimal buildup And its not a coincidence that alot of my favorites come from the same artists. ps. The links above are at timestamps I chose specifically.
  12. OK. But could you then change the topic to something like Psynews Open Collaboration or something like that.
  13. Hey Is there a psynews chatroom somewhere? Maybe on IRC?
  14. Boy, Im on fire tonight! What do I mean with Muddy Goatrance? Well. Its a mix between true and pure Goatrance, but the mixing is quite.. muddy. Sometimes it works well, sometimes not. Some examples, UX - Dominion Dimension 5 - Transformation Imperial Project - Lunar Eclipse Digital Sun - Give Peace a Chance Subcouds - Under the sun Just to mention a few. What would you consider great "muddy" goatrance?
  15. ^ Yup. Truly amazing. Also a definate shared 2nd place winner Tbh this is even better than both Waveguide and Landmark. The female Oohs and Aahs together with the heavy side-chained bassline really make this track utterly amazing. Not to mention the extremely positive and happy melody towards the mid-end. Wow. Such artists. Many feeling. I would also like to add: Entheogenic - Pagan Dream Machine (Vibrasphere Remix) Its downtempo so I didnt want to add it - but I am anyway. Maybe some of you havent heard it.
  16. I was about to create a new topic about this guy but googled beforehand I completely agree with Dream Creator. Wow, such a track. It is a true definition of Progressive Psytrance. But tbh, Progressive Psy is way too broad. I mean, _ALOT_ of different music fits into that category. Lets call this Progressive Dreamtrance. Why not
  17. Well there you go Yes, I think all of those you posted are very nice, except I dont like Pathfinder. I really dont like it. Also, which artist would you say is most similar to Chi-A.D? Well, if you take the sound of Hammerhead, then I think Blue Planet Corporation and perhaps Human Blue would be closer. Eye am the I; well. Maybe California Sunshine or something classicly Isreali.
  18. Top tracks? My favorite track is "Thermal Twist". Second place is at least 5 tracks. Yes, Vibrasphere is probably the most consistent artist I know, and for me one of my absolute favorites. For example "Morning Breeze (Atmos Remix)" "Landmark" "Waveguide" The way they mix Acid with Progressive Psy, Minimal Trance and Deeptrance is amazing. It's a very nice sound for pretty much any occasion. Especially when you feel like getting away from the cheese and melody-overload that can be Goatrance. No - Im not saying anything negative about Goatrance, so dont get me wrong. But when you do get tired of Goatrance, for me - Vibrasphere is my first choice for relief. Which tracks are your favorite tracks? Let's skip all their beautiful Ambient/Chill-Out/Downtempo tracks for this thread.
  19. I recently found the track "Manitou". Really nice. It's not on any of his CDs so it might be considered semi-rare. Discogs reports it is only on 2 VAs. I never was that fond of him, since his quality varies so much. It's one of the most non-consistent goa artists of the 90s. Few really good tracks (with very different sound) and most bad tracks. "Eye am the I" for example, sounds NOTHING like "Manitou" or lets say, "Flame of Eternal Life". His sound vary really much. I also like Hammerhead, but again, its also very different in sound. Im not saying thats a bad thing, its nice to change it up. But I dont really see a red-thread in his productions. Sometimes, but very seldom. Again, thats not a bad thing, its just quite uncommon. He is one of a kind tbh. What is the top 3 chi-a.d tracks?
  20. inb4 this thread fills up with youtube videos in every post and no discussion It's a complex thread and topic. I love all the tracks you posted except three of them. It's cool that you mentioned Perpetually Delayed Voyage. It dont get enough love. It's as you say, a very mature and contemporary storytelling track. Since you didnt mention Artifact303, I will. His track "Feelings" is for me the epitamy of Newschool Goatrance. 05:08-> of that track is for me so floating, spacey and emotional, I never heard anything like it. Still haven't. Nova Fractal's "Common Cold (Unreleased Mix)" or perhaps "Connect" is also a true definition of Newschool Goatrance.
  21. Here are some with elements that are quite similar to old hux flux. Granted, its not got the same crunchy bubbly sound, but some come close.. Manmademan - Elevator Manmademan - conscious creators manmademan - lightcraft The Delta - Traveling at the speed of thought psychaos - mad lane psychaos - spinner miraculix - stop them I know there are a couple of more by these artists, at least the delta, but I cannot remember their names. ?
  22. Well since that thing is far from a contest and the idea i had with the thread, this thread is now just confusing. thats why it should be closed. if you want a public collaboration thread then create that.. dont mean to be harsh i just find it strange that my idea was so hugely misunderstood.
  23. I agree with this. I love those tracks by SFX and they are indeed more advanced than the two tracks posted in this thread. I dont think SFX tracks are badly made at all.
