  1. Boshke beats & Horns n hoof entertainment. Best dark minimal. Sensient IMO is just minimal prog. It's not that "dark" in sound.
  2. Every single user on here has responded relatively negative to the new Shpongle album. Do you really think that inspires an artist to make a new album based on a genre they don't like any more? For a scene that openly supports piracy over legit payment? American hipsters aren't going to finance a Hallucinogen album. They want Younger Brother & Shpongle which is much more accessible to the average person. It's very easy to see why there'll never be a H3. It's the same reason why I'm sure Benji is much more keen to work for a massive app company than for a small time label.
  3. I've bought from said shop before. They are selling it early as a marketing campaign to cash in. They don't care about cheap psy hippies any more, they have the hipster American cash crowd behind them now. Digital before physical is a regular feature of Bandcamp. There's actually nothing surprising it at all. It's simple marketing & profiteering. If you don't like what they're doin noone's forcing you with a gun to your head to support it.
  4. Wow. Antic mate calm down, it's just music.
  5. I seriously can't believe anyone seriously thought he'd do h3? Shpongle & YB is where the money is at. Benji is smart and making money, can you blame him after years in a scene like the goa/psy one? Raj sounds like my Dad, who's the same age & has a similar personality in many ways. I just wish the neo goa/psy folk would at least try to be a quarter as original as these guys. I'd rate the last YB over most neo goa/psy.

  7. Off topic. Burzum is a racist idiot who cannot make music to save himself so just like dark psy fan Rotwang doesn't like to compare him to dark trance plz do not associate all black metal with him or the other idiots like Mayhem. There are some very talented & intelligent black metal artists out there, especially like Immorrtal who are not even singing about satanism etc. On topic each to their own. I see manny similar elements. And many of the dark psy artists I've met were either into hardcore gangsta rap (Mubali whom I spent hours with in Japan) or heavy metal. Then there is Infect Insect who's attitude towards Jewish people would make Hitler shameful.
  8. Great news about sales & extra prints. I'm gonna buy my nephew a copy for his birthday. He's 18 & a heavy metal drum bed but I introduced him to goa & psy recently and he loves it, will make a good birthday preset for him
  9. Also, dark psy for me isn't hard at all. Not like say a tech trance sound or the London Acid Techno sound. It's more like a deeper style of the more psychedelic 90's stuff. Like early Infected or Tandu.
  10. There's a lot of technique in the well written darker side of this genre. Too bad there isn't much of it. I can't go in to to much detail as I'm lazy on holidays, but give me a Sanaton set over Psychomachine style outdoors at 4-8am any day especially on a foggy winters morning.
  11. Thanks Anjuna, will let you know. Hope sales went well & I eagerly await the second release
  12. Look fantastic. I'll download next week when I'm back home. Big ups to all involved
  13. Lost my collection a few years back and have a lot but wanna finish my collection ASAP. Postage is to Australia. I need: Goa-Head 7, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20 & 21. The Colors Of Shiva 2 & 3 Tantrance 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 Pulse 6, 7, 8, 11 & 12 PM me if you're willing to sell
  14. One of the most psychedelic and talented musicians in the world IMO. Cannot wait for the new album This track take me emotionally back to Japan, it just really sums up how that amazing county made me feel.
  15. Yeah love his tunes. I only had two CDs but he's putting together a personalized pack for me end at the end of August. I'm spending $200US so should get some goodies. He's given me some great advice on some good euro modules to get nice spatial sounds & ambient drones
  16. Lived in Fukuoka all of 2006. Was quite friendly with the Rockdenashi crew. Went to lots of amazing dark psy parties. Best was getting mashed up with Greg Mubali & a few weeks late Alien Mental. Nice guys, very positive vibes. Very underground scene, super hot chicas (at least at Rockdenashi gigs). Too bad I wasn't single. Saw Jikooha live, nice guys as well. Not much to tell, if you're in the know there you're in the know, if not its hard to find info. I DJ'd at a few small gigs. I also ran a monthly hard drum n bass in Fukuoka for the year with a bloke from NZ. It was a fun vinyl only gig. Japan was great. Production gear was cheap IMO so I also had nice setup inc. a lot of vintage synths that I sold before leaving as I needed the cash. Was a good year
  17. Heavy metal is amazing music but now-a-days most is far to aggro for me. I still enjoy Cannibal Corpse, Fear Factory, Origin, Marduk, Napalm Death, Opeth, Meshuggah & Hail Of Bullets.
  18. Upfront embracing the darkness. I love my black & death metal, especially mystical bands like Origin etc. It's why I enjoy a lot of the dark psy, it adds a much deeper mythical feel to the trip. Especially quality stuff like Sanaton, Parvati, Mighty Quinn, Moon Koradji, Tantrumm, Osom, Kamino & Dark Prisma labels.
  19. I love his work & he along with Steve Roach (who has given me much advice via email) are the inspiration behind the $10K eurorack system I'm currently building There's something so organic about a good modular system, but I still have my minibrute & Prophet '08. I've also ordered the Bass Station II & Moog Sub Phatty. Such goodness to be had with hardware. So inspiring.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVQkrxz-qJs I am super excited by Shpongle but will wait for the CD & vinyl to arrive. Cannot wait to hear the crackle of the needle the first time I hear the new tunes
