  1. Yeah, that's also related to the bassline. I've also remarked that often people who don't like oldschool and newschool goa trance doesn't like the melodies of those songs, like if they found it too cheesy. Maybe at this kind of new school they would dance on : http://beatspace-suntrip.bandcamp.com/track/javi-vs-sko0ma-emotional-overload
  2. What do you think about it ? I think it would be great if such a magazine existed ! There would be a lot of reviews about new releases in Psychedelic trance music. We woulde write some article about psychedelic trance festival too. We could also include interviews of psytrance and goa artists. We would have a reviewer team and every month someone would take care of the main cover of the magazine. Someone like Richpa, who is doing it for free psychedelic release cover's ! The name of the magazine would be....The Psychedelic Magazine ! Or Psy-mag, but I don't like this last one, it sound like it's about Pop-goa lol. It would definitly give a huge support to the psychedelic trance scene. If an artist would have his release reviewed with a nice appreciation, a lot of people would read article and surely take a listen at the release, and then share it with their psy friends circle ! I don't plan making such a magazine, but what do you think about the idea of such a thing ?
  3. Well I already go somewhere this summer, at Reisefieber festival in Switzerland. I don't think Im gonna do more than one psychedelic trance festival this summer, but thanx for this invitation ! Maybe in a few year ! What about you coming in Switzerland ?
  4. Yea, it's a shame that a lot of people only Know dark psytrance and full on and doesn't know that all of these would never have existed if Oldschool goa trance never appeared ! I can understand it's easier to get into Psytrance & full on since it may sound more "techno like" or "club like" then goa trance. I means the bassline often sound a bit like this in darker so they're getting into this easily...But with goa trance it play a lot on the importance of the melodies and it sound differently, people have difficult to get into such song. Wich is a shame !

    Memory

I've good memory, I still can remember a lot of stuff without problem. Then I woke up from a going out night, I often forgot 1 or 2 little thing, since I do a lot of thing when I go out. I don't have big difficult in reminding people's name, but I need to hear it at least 3 times in order to not forget it
  6. I've some new about Jaia. He's going to play at Tree of life Festival, as jaia and as Even11.
  7. Same for me ! I heard Prog, Psytrance and Dark psy trance at a party but I never heard oldschool or newschool goa trance at a party. I definitly need to get a trip to Belgium once a time in my life, in order to have great taste with beer, chocolate and of course goa trance ! I saw some live of agneton in belgium, damn dude it just make me want to go to see him playing live !
  8. I really don't know about this. I means for sure back in the nineteen there were still vst and electronic genre was already advanced....But as much as today, in 2013 ? I've serious doubts about it. Also we can hear this difference when listening to oldschool and newschool goa trance ; don't you find that oldschool is ruder than newschool ? By ruder I means...I really don't know how to say it, but it look like with newschool the elements used in the songs are softer. I really can't find the english word to describe it, im sorry.
  9. Yay, I had the same feeling while listening to this track !
  10. Well I actually picked up this release by chance, I could have chosen any other one from Neogoa. But for sure Im gonna check some more stuff from this label ! Thank you for your appreciation, it's very rewarding when you are using some time to write a review and when people like it. I have seen you've been recently registered to this forum, as me. And I saw some of your reviews, I enjoy seeing that there's some people who are still making reviews ! No, Im not only reviewing releases from Ektoplazm, I do all kind of review. Until now I wrote 4 review : V/A - Goa Trance Revolution (2013) Atma - The Secret of Meditation (2009) Phobia - Adaptation (2008) GoaTree - The Force (2013) As you may see, I do review new as old release. I do not only review one kind of genre. Ektoplazm is great for writing review of new releases, since it's free so you can instantly have a listen to it without have to wait for receiving album. About the idea of being a review team : Yea, why not my friend ! We could say which release we're going to write soon and maybe we could even make some reviews together ! I don't know if it has already been done, but it could be a nice experience !
  11. Information : Artist : GoaTree Title : The Force Label : NeoGoa Date : 29 May 2013 Genre : Goa trance Tracklist : 1. Ray Subject - Nanoverse (GoaTree Remix) 2. Mementos Mortis 3. The Force 4. Sleeper 5. The Prayer Review : I recently heard about NeoGoa, a new label releasing newschool goa stuff. This is the project named "Morphic Resonance" who catched my intention and this is why I've been looking for other things made by this label. I've to say that Im not disappointed ! So NeoGoa come here with a little album (or a big EP, it's how you want) called "The Force", with 4 track from GoaTree, which I've never heard about, and one remix from the same person. Alright, let's check it ! Ray Subject - Nanoverse (GoaTree Remix) : This album start with a remix of Nanoverse, originaly from Ray Subject. At start it sound quite spacey and strange, but fast come some great melodies. It sound very nice, like an oldschool goa trance track released with newschool equipment. Later come strong acid lines, who slowly but surely get developed. Then you got a break with some background sounds which give this track a nice atmosphere, and then, BOOM, you got this kick in the face, accompanied with awesome melody, at 4:40 ! This whole track is excellent, with nice melodies and pretty good acid lines ! This is what gave me the desire to listen to the whole album. Mementos Mortis : After such a good first track, you always need something very good to continue the great serie. And GoaTree made it, oh boys. The track start with a strange sound but very fast come a very strong and heavy kick, just as I love it, giving this track a terrible rhythmic. Acid lines and background melodies follow, making of this track a nice song, combining a powerful kick with beautiful melodies. The bassline is very nice too : simple but effective. I particularly appreciate the sound coming at 4:49, it fits very well with the track ! To resume, that's a very good track. The Force : Another nice song, using a lot of melodies with a nice kick & snare to give this track some good vibes. The acid lines playing at beginning of the song are just awesome, oldschool forever ! This track contains a lot of beautiful melodies, which have always something changing second after second, making it great ! Nothing else to say, a good track, but not as good as the previous one. Sleeper : A sample, some background sounds, a rise, and here you are thrown in another song. This is the track with the highest BPM of the whole album, melodies are going faster and you quickly feel it. Here again, the tunes are pretty good, giving this track an oldschool aspect, with those kind of acid lines and uplifting melodies. It still has a good kick, with nice rythmic, using hat and snare. At 5:19 the track take another dimension : there's a flute melody with some voice samples at end of this one. I've say that I didnt except that, but it does fit very well with the rest of the song. Pretty good track here too ! The Prayer : What a track ! It starts with a huge powerful kick, I've rarely heard such loud one ! It's clear that at the beginning, this track as a more dark atmosphere than the other one of this album, because the background tunes are less melodic. But then come some nice synths notes. After this, a break, and then, at 4:10, GoaTree got all the elements he needs to make you dream ; he throws this great rythmic with the loud kick, and he serve it with an awesome melody, like you may hear in oldschool goa trance or in nitzhogoa tracks. Without forgetting the dark atmosphere of the beginning, it make a great combination. Is it already finished ? No, then come some beautiful voice samples, sounding somehow religious but who perfectly fits with the song, and giving this track a deeper atmosphere. And of course, on 6:52, we got back some famous acid lines, nicely filling the track. The song slowly ends with the voice samples. This is far away the best track of the album. Not a very good track : a legendary track, who surely deserve it's place in most of newschool goa trance compilations ! Overall : What an incredible surprise I got while listening to this album ! This if for me one of the best newschool goa trance album I've ever heard. It contains some very nice tracks, with a lot of wonderful melodies and pretty nice acid lines. There's also some amazing heavy kicks, giving those tracks nice rhythmic. The tunes made me think a lot about those nitzhogoa melodies. By the way, the last track is exceptionnaly good, it became a classical goa song to my ears ! Some word on the cover : A very nice cover, directly linked to the artist's name "GoaTree". A nice job from our forum mate Richpa ! Last thing : this album is free, avalaible on Ektoplazm ! Enough said for me ! Best track : 5 Worst track : 3 (Still a good one of course !) Rating : 9/10 To download it : Free @ Ektoplazm.com
  12. Waouv, romanisco cauliflower are impressive ! Here's one cuted in two :
  13. Ok, thank you a lot for those information ! I can't wait until all those are being realized ! Until there, Im gonna forbear and just listen to what he already posted on soundcloud
  14. Have you got some more information or stuff to listen to about this project ? any facebook page, blog, or idk what that could give me some information ? Also do you know if they plan to make an EP or an album ? It's very rare that an artist capture my intention so highly in a few seconds. I really enjoy listening to this project and I just want to know more. Since it's a bit being off topic you can answer me by Private Message if you rather. Thx.
  15. Well Im listening to some more of track from this new 2013 Project, called Morphic resonance. More track here When I said it was better than Etnica...Well I spoke to fast, it depend on what you means by "better". But yea, it seem like you all couldn't take a look back at Etnica. I means no disrespect, but it seem like you're considering him like the god of goa and like nobody will dethrone him ! Maybe it will happend, and I don't know why but I believe this new 2013 Project has power to do it. Only my opinion then ! Im still a fan of Etnica, their stuff like vimana and trip tonite are still some of the best Goa trance track you may ever find, for sure ! But cmon, there isn't only Etnica in goa trance
  16. I think there's a good thing with having many artist : you'll have and more people making different genre of Psychedelic Trance. In the 90' there were almost only Goa trance if Im not wrong (I mean as the Psychedelic genre, without considering Techno or other stuff like it). This is after that that came the Full on and Progressive Psytrance. And today we still got new goa trance song, altought this is Newschool goa trance it has still many common point with oldschool goa trance ! To me it's good that we got a lot of artist. But as someone said, there's a lot of bad or not impressive stuff and few but very good stuff ! For those who search, there's a lot of song to listen to which are great.
  17. Oooh yea, I love it man, thank you a lot for sharing ! to me it's even better than etnica : it combine great melodies of Etnica's time with the good rythmic and background sound of neoGoa. Yes, probably, im going to shock some people but to me it's even better than etnica ! Im definitly looking from other track from this artist
  18. Well it doesn't only make me think about Space...but for some track it does ! But don't forget it's PSychedelic music, and the space is somehow unknown and full of mystery, like a bit psychedelic too. This is where I see a link, Well not all Jaia's song. Listen to his album "Fiction", and tell me seriously if it does make think you about summer. But a lot of jaia'a song may remind of summer, for sure
  19. I made my own one using Photo Filtre : It's a mix between two images !
  20. Yay yay, was just trying to explain something, but nevermind. I means that I see a lot of people love being under drug influence when listening to dark-psytrance (That's not my case I can still enjoy dark psy without it) and they only listen to this then. But anyway it's not the matter of topic here so !
