Allright. I tried with Vanguard and got a nice sound that was somewhat close, but couldnt get the melody right. the notes yes, but not the pitching like it is in the original. mine just sounded dry.

you can have a light kickdrum sound, and it can still touch the lovely frequencies needed for a kick. the sound itself doesnt have to be heavy for the frequency to be nice. If you understand what I mean. If you like it the way it is now, I dont think you should change it. Good for you!

Perhaps there is a reason for me to have a new user, I just dont want to be affiliated with my old user, its nothing more advanced than that. Wow. How do you do it? Do you just A/B listen and recreate note after note? Or do you use some sort of tool to extract notes ? I know there are such tools but I never had any great luck with them. I notice you mentioned Melodyne earlier and I would like to ask if you can tell us a little bit more. I especially liked the bassline, it was spot-on! The main melody sounds like it could use some distortion or maybe another bit-crushed version layered on top with low volume.Something to make it dirtier and wider. Excellent job though on the notes. Totally curious how you did it.

now it just sounds generic, with that kickdrum.. i was hoping you wanted to opt with a lighter kickdrum, a different one - to fit in with your style. But you opted to use the most generic 909 kickdrum to date. not a choice i would have made oh well, to each his own !

because, radi whenever you ask for "light" goa trance, and people give recommendations - you complain and say "no that is not light at all". When you are asking for "emotional" trance, you complain and say it is not emotional. You even think we are stupid for this and that suggestion. these guys are without a doubt one of the greatest goa trance pioneers of the century. my favorite tracks are Vision Quest (just cause of its epic and extremely unique 90s feel to it) and My Dear Medical Insurance Cycles of life comes very close to the top 3 aswell. what are yours?
