  2. Hi everyone For all you that miss or still enjoy the old 2004 Filteria sound; I am bringing you the Sky Input Remixed EP. All these tracks were made 2003-2005. They have been remastered though to make them more balanced in the frequency spectrum. However I have left my trademark sound in there from that era. This release will be available at filteria.bandcamp.com and other online stores on Thursday (2013-02-14). I would like to mention also that there will be more unreleased stuff coming digitally, a 4th Filteria album and also a K.O.B. album. I hope you will enjoy it! Tracklist: 1. Operation Pulse (Remix) 2. Stars (Warped Remix) 3. Navigate (Pitch Down The World Mix) 4. The Snuggling Snail (Live Remix) 5. Ultimator (Ultimated Remix) 6. Operation Pulse (Live Remix) Thank you for your support! Take care / Jannis
  3. The track is from 98 I think. It's a Roland JD800. http://www.vintagesynth.com/roland/jd800.php Its a highpass filter on the sound. Sawtooth as waveform. The main thing about the sound is the Pitch Env. It's quite hard to achieve/replicate those lines. Never forget that a mixertable and EQsettings are doing much for a sound. To use the internal EQ of the JD800 gives a very specific sound. Good Luck
  4. I agree to some extent. I've managed to make dancefloors explode both in Brazil and in Germany (actually I think that Germany is listening to everything). Talking out of experience: when I play in big festivals sometimes indeed the energy boils down (just like in Boom after Logic Bomb). But after 15-20 minutes it picks up again and many times surpasses the energy from before. I think it's just that people need some time to get used to the sound simply because it's so different to what was playing before.. If its the lack of bas, the different production or the drugs: That I cannot answer.
  5. Hello, There is a Filteria set just uploaded on Boom radio. It's one hour with some remixes, unreleased and released material. It's free, so go get it http://boomfestival.org/boom2012/2012/05/21/boom-2012-preview-podcast-06-by-filteria/ Also a sample from a new track that will be on the new album http://soundcloud.com/filteria/filteria-food-demons A 2012 version of snuggling snail (made just for live): http://soundcloud.com/filteria/filteria-the-snail-2012-live Feel free to join the Filteria facebook page @ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Filteria/210041455674783 and the dedicated group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/filteria/ And a new Filteria track "dreams are under construction" is just released @ http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Adept-Space-Of-Power-The-Legend-About-Great-Existence-Of-The-Universe/release/3481370 I think thats all I hope you like what you are hearing. Hope to see you @ some festival dancefloors during the summer season. All the best / Jannis
  6. Hi, I have uploaded a few samples from the new tracks of the upcoming Filteria album. Samples can be found here: Hope you will like it Take care / Jannis
  7. Thanx mate You might also like: Back to Earth (it's 120BPM and very inspired by EBM music), and also the track Filtertraces (Abstract Dream Remix) which is inspired by 80's music with a progressive touch. And Penzoline, I will upload more on that soundcloud-account. I just opened it yesterday. Sorry for the shameless selfpromotion About the "underground resistance". I don't think it has anything to do with the low BPM's (X-Dream started pretty slow on all their live-sets I heard and it rocked). And alot of progressive is pretty slow and still works in big festivals. Thing is, the production of this new beat type music is pretty dusty and sounds "old" productionwise compared to today because people mix and work (other technologies) differently. So the question is: how you can make this music sound like it did back then, yet to make it "massive" enough to play it after fullon or progressive etc without people leaving the dancefloor. But in the end, the truth is that people get used to the sound after a while. If you play the exact same tracklist as on the Vuuv 91, you would empty the floor in the beggining, but after 30 minutes it would work. Maybe we have too many subgenres in the psyscene.. Take care
  8. Great music and vibes on the video Got inspired myself to do something like in that clip. Calmer than the usuall Filteria stuff Hope you like it Take care
  9. That Lunar remix seem to be getting popular and known I will keep it only for live-acts, so people have something to look forward to. To be honest, its not thaaaaat different from the one on Heliopolis.. Thanx again for the nice comments about the site Take care / Jannis
  10. Thanx guys Actually I think the same as some of you about the player.. Might change it. And there won't be a downloadsection. The site is pretty much finished. There was some more pics uploaded under media Take care / Jannis

  13. Hello Isao, "Those Talking Machines" was finished way back then and was meant to be released on Nordic Mythology on Stone Age Records. The CD never came out and the label closed down I think. Alot of people keep asking about this track. I have promised to release this track digitally if I dont find anyone willing to release this. But both Suntrip and me think this track deserves to be released on a psychical CD.. As for the old Back To Earth, as far as I remember, both have the same BPM. The difference is production and the new one has more melodies (and is far more coherent). So I prefer that the old one stays in my harddrive Take care / Jannis
  14. Hello I hope you will enjoy these remixes. And digital was the easiest way to go... We'll see how this first release goes before deciding if a new one comes I have more material. As for the Lunar Remix of Lunar Civilization, that one is only for gigs for the moment.. Take care and thank you for your suuport / Jannis
  15. Hi there. What exactly is it you want to achieve? 1. To be able to record the sound into the PC? In that case just plug the audio out jack into to your audio-card and press rec 2. To interact the SH-101 into midi-enviorenment (play with midi notes)? I assume its this you wondering about. In that case, you need a few stuff. First of all if you dont have a midi-interface (can be just one in/out), then you need to get ont. Second, a CV-Gate coverter since SH-101 dont have midi. One I strongly recommend is: http://www.kentonuk.com/products/pro_solo.shtml This transforms your CV/gate signals into midi-signal. Its quit easy procedure. And on that link you can read in more detail These are your choices, unless you want to play everything "live" directly.. Hope this helps. Take care / Jannis
  16. I heard that Frank E (and maybe Peter) was playing music(their music?) on the radio. Some angry listener called up the radiostation and said: this sounds like koxbox (in the sense of crap). And they kept that name. I could be wrong though As for names: What's more mystic than Man With No Name....
  17. Am I allowed to vote ? If anyone is intressted: http://www.isratrance.com/interviews/filteria-i72.html You can read there about my thoughts on this issue Take care / Jannis
  18. Hello :posford: Thank you for all the kind words and for your reviews (both good and bad ones ) Keep em coming! Funny to see that my 3 favourite tracks (for the moment at least): Filtertraces, In the Heaven’s Eye and Earthrise got most attention so far Ask yourself: If Daze was the debut album: Would it have made as big impact as Sky Input did? Probably yes..If Sky Input was released now as my third album in 2009, would it be the same energy rush as it was back in 2004? I'm not sure... I personally don’t think it depends on the music (when the energy level is kind of equal, even if Daze is calmer in every way). It’s more psychological and as you wrote: “A sensation like that can be experienced once”. I think that bands which had a “successful” debut often get in this position (Pleiadians, Hallucinogen etc). Sky Input came when no one expected a CD like that. After 2 Filteria albums, you know what to expect more or less, so yes, it’s more or less impossible to get that feeling again. It’s probably one reason why we’ll most likely never will see a third Hallucinogen. No matter how good it would be, it won’t live up to the hype for some (because of some old wonderful memories they had while tripping to LSD and Shamanix). As for Daze trying to grace with the same feeling: All I know is that all I ever wanted to do as musician/whatever, was and is to touch the listener through the music and get him/her to dance. I wanted to do that with Sky Input... aswell with Daze...Thats the "same" feeling I want to give through all my albums. Sorry, I just needed to share my thoughts on this one And btw Rino: Its Tzikas, not Tzakis. And it’s a pleasure reading your always entertaining reviews Thanx again everyone! Take care / Jannis
  19. I am having my first Japan gigs in September (12th and 19th) One is 2 hours away from Tokyo and the weekend after was in a club in Tokyo. Hope it will be as magic as I've always thought Japan was And hopefully some people from Psynews will be there? Someone from Tokyo here? I will be there 2 weeks. Lets get some beer or something Take care / Jannis
  20. There is a big chance that I will play in September (I think in Tokyo). I will know for sure next month. To see the upcoming gigs go to www.myspace.com/filteria And big thanx for your support everyone I really hope you will like the album! Take care all / Jannis
  21. Hello all. I hope you will like the album. I think this album is by far my best and most complete work to date. As for the cover: I really really like it, and wanted something different than the "old fractals". Take care / Jannis
  22. Maybe it sounds plastic in you ears. All I wanted to say was that K.O.B. is as much hardware as Filteria. It doesn't sound plastic to me. And ofcourse you will hear a difference between K.O.B. and GNOTR. I am not Green nuns, and no, I wasn't aiming for green nuns formula. And there is no 303's in Pitch and Chips, even if i have a 303 (i didn't think it would fit the track). Anyway, your entitled to think whatever you want. I just wanted to give you all the facts.
  23. I am also behind the K.O.B. project and i can promise you thats NOT software synths. Its all hardware (and made in the same studio as the Filteria music).
  24. I saw them for the first time in 2007 @ Konemetsä. And it rocked. Next to X-Dream, probably the best i've seen. There was something magical about it, but I can't really spot what. I saw the vids above and it seems that Merv can pull it of himself. I hope for the best. Anyway, I am glad that I saw them when they were both active. -Let them eat static :posford:
