  1. So we're not going to get any nighttime stuff for a while? Eh, no big deal - I have complete faith in Schlab, and will keep buying the albums blindly. I should just put my credit card on file with them.
  2. It's pretty clear that one either feels the forest thing or one doesn't. But again, I think a lot of that has to do with having experienced the Scandinavian forests, and likely the culture itself. Music is based on culture. It's language in a way, as well as images. If New Zealanders were to make their own brand of forest music, it would sound different, but it would also probably have some subtle similarities. I don't think people should get offended or defended if they don't hear it or feel it. But I would recommend taking a trip into a Scandinavian forest someday. There's a unique magic there. And if you feel it, you'll hear it in the music, and you'll probably like the idea of the two combined.
  3. But don't get me wrong, his music fits those movies very well. It's clearly his destiny. Just that I'm not a big fan of Hollywood music.
  4. I used to LOVE his shit until he went commercial like Posford. I still love a lot of stuff from his first few albums, and will always prize Transmissions.
  5. Don't know that track. But I'd say some tracks from Battle of the Future Buddhas - Twin Sharkfins, like Tigerhill and Tranceportamental. 1998.
  6. Another great recommendation. Thanks, UV.
  7. Sounds nicey. Put in my order, too.
  8. That's a matter of opinion.
  9. Link, please?
  10. How come NHJO never responds to any of our questions and comments?
  11. Cool. Haven't listened to Ellis in a while. Very unique stuff.
  12. Agree. And cool that they picked the right part of The Visitors (Part 1), which is one of the finest points in all psytrance. Up there with that part in Alcyone - you know which one.
  13. Talpa's good in small doses. It's so goddamn intense and psychedelic and all over the place that it's really hard to stay focused. But when you haven't heard it in a while it's pretty cool, I think.
  14. That was one of my first psy albums (Metal Spark). It never really clicked with me. Plus, the version I had was recorded at an annoyingly low volume, which didn't help.
  15. Yeah, a great album. And very powerful in a way you don't often hear in old-school stuff. It's like Astral Projection on steroids. It comes from the Pigs in Space album (which, if you're an old-school fan, is a must-have, in my opinion). I first heard it as the opener on Goa-Head 7. Man with No Name was always a little too clubby for me, but Dikovsky and company really put some *oomph* into this one. Definitely an example of the remix being better than the original.
  16. Or boys (if you know what I mean).
  17. Listening to Man with No Name Presents Yogy and Grey One - Big Troubles in Outer Space (Oforia Remix) Besides being one of the longest titles , it's also one of my all-time faves. Haven't heard it in a while. Too bad nobody seems to know how to do this anymore.
  18. I think a lot of the acts listed are minimal rather than progressive. Like Lewd, which I think is a good album. And X-Dream (I know you were trying to be provocative, but I'll fall for it and say there's absolutely NO way Radio is a progressive album). Either way, I really can't get into the stuff - it doesn't have the force and energy of the music that got me into this genre. Lime Structure has a few good tracks.
  19. Awesome! I love the Art of Noise version.
  20. Thanks for the info. Shame.
  21. What about Bent Sentient? Haven't heard anything since Liquid Launch - a highly cool track - although I heard a remix on Candyflip's Candy VA.
  22. I second that.
  23. Let me know when you find something!
