  1. it was the easter party not nye.. cuz snaaps ass was in costa rica then.. Although he would rather have been at the party About fullmoon festival: i think they have learned alot from the beginning and they are def professional. But i do not agree with some of their decisions at all. The prog stage last year for example was a disaster. Not because of the artists or sound but because of the set up. it was pathetic to put it gently The artists were up the hill far away from the dancefloor in some cheaply build shack with no deco and the bar was where the dj booth should have been. The deco was dreadfull and there were 3 lights shining constantly all night. If you stood on the hill in between the fullon and the prog floor the difference was sooo big it was unbelievable. Fullon floor was massive and fat and progfloor thin and ugly. I really hope they will change that this year.
  2. i think its pretty obvious what he is trying to communicate. to quote nofx: its just needs a few ooooo's and aaaaaa's in just the right places..
  3. psybertribe is done rather well.. just the concept of a women with some shining light is rather lame imho... at the others     :( :wank: :wank:
  4. digipack.. the looks are just so much nicer. I put the cds right in my cd case and chuck the covers away in the closet. so i dont really care but prefer digipacks. If you are not a dj it s just so much nicer to have than a regular cd. I never understood djs that bring 40 cases with em to gigs. So much rubbish you are taking without any purpose. I take over a 100 cds with me to gigs so I really dont wanna carry all those cases
  5. had several years of 16+ festival days per year.. so thats 16 x 14 acts on average per day for several years.. i am sure that will cause a memory problem for psynews site of course loads will be double. but merely trying to say it doesnt make much sense to make it into a competition because its impossible to keep track and compare. I remember i used to count bands i saw when i was 17.. Lost track soon of the whole list The oldies have a pretty good chance of 'winning' simply because of their age.
  6. star sounds orchestra- one of their first albums.. not the later stuff here
  7. how do you like the cs1x for psychedelic sounds?
  8. dj anneli is indeed very cute on stage.. after the party without make up and glasses and plain clothes you wouldnt recognise her as the same.. you'd walk straight past her. nice girl with nice personality! the skazi pic was obviously coming and i think we need to step it up one with the skazi humour.. its sooo 2006 yoyo is indeed cute. so is sally doolally!
  9. D-Nox and Beckers: Left Behind [Electribe 1CD] Compilation: Set:7 Declivity [iboga 1CD] Puzzle: The Missing Piece [Materia Records 1CD] The Ataris: Space Invaded [Phantasm 1CD] Bitmonx vs Dj Fabio: Plugged [Plusquam 1CD] Compilation: Get Your Wonk On [sonic Dragon 1CD] there is a major lack in progressive releases imho.. there is about 10 fullon releases to 1 prog...
  10. 20.1263 USD http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi <-- for currency converting.. a little steep indeed
  11. i am trying to rip the audio from a movie file (avi in this case) and work with an external soundcard which means i cant just push record in wavelab and grab the sound while playing. So i am looking for a program that can rip the audio from an avi, mpg or whatever movieformat to wave or mp3 for me. Anybody know of a good one? preferably for free... thnx
  12. buying them 20 years ago? or by looking for them at garagesales for 20 years?
  13. i saw NOS live the other day in sweden. A nice acid set with 2 303's a 909 101 MS20 and some other old school synths.. Too cool and totally RAD Gotta love it.. Personally I prefer to work 'in the box' because of the easiness. I never really got into working with external hardware. But it surely is lovely to hear the oldschool vibe and sounds from these machines.
  14. <-- what jikkenteki says.. beatmatching chill can be fun but sometimes more difficult than mixing trance because of the short parts with a beat and the big differences in tempo. Otherwise you could mix em in key. And just try to find tracks that make up a story, that have the same feeling, vibe or rhythmstyle. Record your mixes to hear later what you did Good luck
  15. but was psynina female?
  16. judging a book by its cover?
  17. first album is very nice (but some people really dislike it) and the second is pretty lame. we had a discussion about it a few months ago here i think..
  18. its more gabber than psy... take a look at the terror side of gabber. it comes pretty close. 220 bpm and noiseeeeeeee.
  19. or make your basses in cubase with the vb-1 and sample them in reason
  20. i'd go for two cdj 100's or 200s if you can afford it and a decent simple mixer, djm 300 for example. A pretty basic set up but it will let you dj pretty much everywhere if you can use these. I found some really cheap ones to be fine for practicing as well. Once had a reloop rm 20 or something. That wasnt too bad. As long as they have: 3 way eq, a option to listen to several channels seperately and together a gain per channel mic channel for those killarrrgh vocals you are going to add If you get it second hand make sure it hasnt been travelling alot. And test the laser by playing some copied cds. See if the frontslot isnt touching your cd's if you put them in and check the top wheel if its still spinning correctly. good luck!
