  1. Now THIS is the revival of Goa that I have been waiting for! 'Croa' Trance anyone? The tracks are absolutely full-on relentless blasts of energy. I wouldn't call it perfect because in my opinion there needs to be more melodic emphasis instead of just on power, but the power is knock-your-ass-off-your-seat powerful! Looking forward to more of this!!!
  2. I only had discovered him myself about a month ago. There are so many good dub tech releases lately and coming up. Hard to keep up.
  3. Awesome! Is this your first Dub Techno album purchase?
  4. Hunab Ku - Fallen Angel Always thought this has a 'barely holding on' desperate feel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXy0ZQDmRpg Transwave - The Rezwalker (Black Thunder Mix) Vengeful and sad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LR62km-d2c
  5. Athena / Miranda - U Are Alone Title says it all... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaSeE7J_lSU Darshan - Kyma Kind of a bleak and doomed atmosphere to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhcVyBn0Kh4
  6. Agreed 100%. You've put it better than I could've said.
  7. Atheus - Compile Limited to only 300. Get it now if you want it.
  8. Sorry about that! Cool coincidence -- I just ordered Family of Light from someone else on Discogs as well.
  9. Yeah, it's too bad some people overlook him because of the samples. Those albums are really trippy in the right mood. There is nobody else like Olly -- that's for sure!
  10. I think I.F.O.'s tracks are are all strong whereas F.O.L. has a couple tracks that meander too much. They're definitely both classics though. I'm going on a buying spree today apparently. Just picked up Pigs in Space and Dark Soho - Sun Spot (remastered).
  11. I've just ordered two albums from you on discogs (user phazephade).
  12. Pleiadians - Family of Light Finally decided to break the bank and get the CD instead of just my lossless digital tracks. I.F.O....might be a few years.
  13. I didn't realize people don't think that anymore. I thought I was the only one who likes Space Tribe's old albums! I haven't listened to his newer stuff, mind you, especially that new Alien Jesus one that's gotten such bad reviews. Sonic Mandala, The Ultraviolet Conspiracy, 2000 O.D., The Future's Right Now, and Religious Experience are classics IMO. The samples can be cheesy at times, but his albums are like that on purpose -- they're more fun that way. It keeps you from having a too-serious trip
  14. I've restrained myself from replying to threads like this before, but I'm a little drunk right now so who cares? I agree, most neogoa is formulaic and unoriginal pap. There. I said it. That feels better. I don't care what most people say, there was some kind of awesomeness in the air in the 90's that isn't around anymore in the "goa" scene. Filteria, Khetzal, E-mantra, as talented as they are, don't compare in my mind to Pleiadians, KoxBox, and Hallucinogen, etc... But in the end, who gives a crap. Listen to what you like. This is just my tired opinion. I'll keep hoping for the next Etnica. --edit-- Now that I'm sober I'll qualify the statement about Filteria, Khetzal, and E-mantra. I picked these guys out because they are probably the artists at the top of the Neogoa bunch as far as I see. I love Sky Input, etc. and Corolle though I haven't listened to much of E-mantra's work yet. They are masterpieces of this movement. But to me, there is an obvious difference between these albums and the classics of the 90's to around 2001. Everybody knows that this is the differentiation between classic goa and neogoa. I guess I meant that they have to be treated in a different light and not treated as if they were continuations of the same movement. This is probably why people get disappointed. Stuff like Cybernetika's new album are what keep me listening to this new wave of psy and goa. New wave, new decade(s), new sound.
  15. Petar Dundov is the man! Great new tracks from him! I wasn't aware of his new EP.
  16. Atheus - Soundscapes & Drones Discovered this one about a month ago. I've never really listened to much drone, but this is simply amazing. -- Aura - Butterflychrysaliscaterpillar I've known about this one for years, but only listened to it a few times in the past. It's a really great early trance release.
  17. Chi-A.D. - Anno Domini Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences There are more, but these are three I immediately think of and have had intense experiences with (both on and off psychedelics).
  18. The album Sequencer by Covenant is a classic EBM album that has a lot of trance elements to it. It's a very dark and serious album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aJdBLUBRrs
  19. I knew somebody would call me out on this one! It's my favorite Solar Fields album and I couldn't fit it into my uptempo list so I nudged it *wink wink* into the downtempo hoping nobody would notice. Guess I'll have to replace it with another Solar Fields album...
  20. I had a hard time narrowing down my top ten uptempo, but I also had a hard time finding enough albums for the downtempo top ten! Uptempo 1. Hunab Ku - Magik Universe 2. RA - To Sirius 3. Transwave - Backfire 4. Crop Circles - Tetrahedron 5. SynSUN - Full Power of Goa 6. Process - One Drop or Two? 7. Chi-A.D. - Infinitism 8. Toi Doi - Technologic 9. RA - 9th 10. Space Tribe - Religious Experience Downtempo 1. Androcell - Emotivision 2. Distant System - Spiral Empire 3. Shulman - In Search of a Meaningful Moment 4. Androcell - Efflorescence 5. Solar Fields - Earthshine Movements 6. Carbon Based Lifeforms - World of Sleepers 7. Vibrasphere - Archipelago 8. Galaxy - Science of Ecstasy 9. Asura - Life^2 10. Shpongle - Tales of the Inexpressible Yep, Androcell/Distant System is one of my favorite downtempo artists right now.
  21. You might like: Battle of the Future Buddhas - Twin Sharkfins and Masters of Outhouse Kiriyama - Reach Escape Velocity
  22. Technologic is the only one of his albums I have and have heard. How do his other albums compare? Each time I listen to it I dig it more and more. It's very alien, futuristic, dark, driving, and relentless. Initially I found it a little monotonous, but it has gotten to the point now that I wish the tracks would go one even longer. I like albums like this that are very conceptual and consistent sounding like this one and Darshan's Awakening. I feel like I'm on a journey when I listen to them.
