  7. Booked on that date because of my birthday. Bummer! Will it be recorded?
  8. Furthur Progressions ( http://www.myspace.com/furthurprogressions ) is a quite new label with one really good compilation released earlier this year and a download-EP a few months ago. As for artists, Dickster/Dick Trevor sometime releases some good, chunky progressive tunes - for instance check out his remix for Flowjob - Everland Airport and his tune on the Furthur Progressions compilation. Generally the UK (unfortunately) don't put out as much progressive trance as back in the Flying Rhino days though.
  9. Well, I practically know all that already. It's all about assessing advantages and disadvantages though, and I think the current setup is the best option for me despite the problems with mixing. Yes, I can improve accoustics a lot in my bedroom, but I simply don't want my setup in there - I spend a lot of time at my computer, and I don't want to sit in my bedroom all day, and I also want to be able to sit and make music till late in the morning while my girlfriend is sleeping There's of course also the option of getting a bigger flat with one more room or to rent a room in a studio, but both are pretty unlikely for a poor student like me Thanks for the help again though.
  10. Out now on Psyshop.com! http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ibo/ibo2cd065.html
  11. I have considered basstraps, but the placement of them is kind of tricky and generally the placement of my setup in the corner of my livingroom is far from perfect. I could of course put the setup in my bedroom, but then I'd just be sitting in there all day. Surely accoustics is my next priority though. Thanks for the help Pictures from a few months back when I had just moved in:
  12. What? No Solar System!?!? I DEMAND A RECOUNT!!!!!

  15. The artists are certainly surviving on their bookings, but Twisted Records also has a manager who's in charge of all the necessary paperwork etc. on the label. Who's going to pay him if they don't make a profit on their releases?
  16. Artist: Quantize Title: Quantize Mixes Label: Iboga Records Cat number: IbogaDigital49 Format: Digital download MP3/Wav Release date: November 2009 Release information: Hot in the heels of their debut album “Time” on Iboga Records in late 2008, Iboga Records presents a new EP with the in demand duo Quantize. Their style consists of progressive trance elements, leaning towards a blasting & hard techno interpretation. A unique sound that has put Quantize firmly on the global progressive psytrance map, and recently the duo has had two tracks selected for the John 00 Fleming CD compilation “Set: 11 Frequent Itinerant" to be released on Iboga Records. On this EP Quantize has taken X-NoiZe's “Breaking the Toys” under their personal care with a fantastic outcome, and also the brand new Quantize-tune "Calvin Klein" is enormous and has been a powerful secret weapon with a selected few of the top progressive DJ's this summer. The fellow Israeli duo Yotopia is also present on the EP with their interpretation of “Nightmosphere" from Quantize's debut album. Don't miss out on these remarkable 4 tracks. Tracklist: 01. X-noise - Breaking the Toys (Quantize Remix) 02. Quantize - Nightmosphere (Yotopia Remix) 03. Quantize - Calvin Klein 04. 17. Didn't filter out anything of the mid on the bassline actually, but the bass is definitely what's causing most problems (probably due to some problems with acoustics in my room). Some people I've sent it to say it has enough punch, while others think it's not dominant enough. Any recommendations for improvements? Maybe subtly layering it with another bassline in the mid-frequency area could work? Concerning the break I don't agree with you. It's a little less than a minute, and I personally think it suits the mellow atmosphere of the rest of the track. Thanks a lot for the feedback once again though. Much appreciated
  18. Hopefully Updated the track a little bit: http://www.zshare.net/audio/670867717b4db117/
  19. New preview. Longer, more melodies and made some small tweaks on the bassline. http://www.zshare.net/audio/6699376735be0ead/ Bring on the feedback
  20. I like some deep house as well - mostly the stuff with a dubby (almost progressive) and/or techy sound, and not so much the oldschool deep house with divas on vocals. Try to look for artists like Daniel Kyo, The Timewriter, Scope, Manuel Tur, Lukas Greenberg and Terry Lee Brown Jr. I especially like labels like Plastic City, Urbantorque and Dutchie Music.
  21. Hi there, Have been working on this track most of today, and have finally decided to put a small preview out there. Looking for some honest feedback Oh, and it's some sort of mellow and melodic progressive psytrance. 135 BPM. Listen here: http://www.zshare.net/audio/669515837bab5302/
