Certainly not the best I've heard from Protoculture, but this ain't the first time Armin Van Buuren has played Protoculture. He's played tracks from the latest album and also the remix of Liquid Soul - Devotions (which, by the way, is a great tune). Also don't forget Paul Oakenfold who is well-known for his legendary goa-mixes, and actually also later on played artists like Nuclear Ramjet and Human Blue if I'm not mistaken. Not to mention John '00' Fleming and Christopher Lawrence who's played progressive psytrance and full on for years already.

Apparently GMS and Space Tribe have teamed up and made the project Alien Jesus, and they've just released an album: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/stm/stm1cd009.html I don't know what to say really. GMS have made incredibly cheesy music over the years, but this is so much over the top that it makes me wonder if they're really being sarcastic and taking the piss on everyone. What do you think?

I wouldn't call this track psytrance (not that it matters though) - just good music. If you look beyond major radio hits like "Call On Me", "Pjanoo" and his remixes of Calvin Harris "Flashback", Faithless "Not Going Home" and Pink Floyds "The Wall" - "Proper Education" (well, they are actually all very good compared to most mainstream club tracks to be honest) Eric Prydz has been making amazing tracks for many years on the progressive house scene as Pryda as well as his more techno-oriented project Cirez D. My favorites are "RYMD", "Armed", "Frankfurt" and last but certainly not least: his remix of Paolo Mojo "1983". A 12 minute long masterpiece

Johnson & Haske are Thomas Johanson and Sascha Haske from Hamburg in Germany. Thomas is well known as DJ Mapusa Mapusa and has been working on projects like “Auricular” and “Human Traffic”. Sascha is producing under the aliases “Bitmonx” and “Buzzmonx”. In 2008 they decided to start a new project together in a crossover progressive minimal techno or house style. For the kind of sound you're requesting (proper pumping progressive with some hints of full on) I can recommend Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Protonica, some of the tracks on the new Motion Drive album (Zen Mechanics actually made "Outwards" with Motion Drive) and some tracks by Quantize. Also some of the upcoming acts from Eastern Europe are really into that kind of sound; E-Clip, Egorythmia, Zyce, Flegma, Nerso and Ectima. A brilliant example: Also, a bit of blatant self-promotion. I released an EP on Iono Music a while back. I think this track is sort of in the style you're looking for, although not on the same level of production as those I mentioned earlier. Hope you like it
