  1. Thanky you guys for your recommendations. Maybe I just have to get into it again to enjoy it. But it really looks like there's not much going on in the scene. For sure there are some talents like Cybernetika but the majority of artists are narrowing down themselfs on a specific sub-genre. I dont mind if there are certain keystones like the speed or the 4/4 beat that aren't changed but the music lost what I liked most about it in the beginning. And I'm not one of those oldschool goa heads that only likes music form the 90's. I feel like from 2008 on there wasn't any notable development in the genre. The funny thing is that I don't mind such things when it comes to House for instance but when I listen to psy music I'm turned off when I hear the same synth in every second track. You can't force something to be psychedelic by using the same sounds that have worked so far or by just scattering them over a fat bassline. Maybe I'm too picky but I think it's undeniable. The music is trapped by its formulas. Is it possible that there is no way to make groundbreaking psytrance while still being recognised as such? I'm curious for your inputs to this topic
  2. Hi guys, it's been a long time since I've listend to some psytrance and I am a bit out of touch with todays releases. Can you recommend me anything from 2011 to now? Preferably no neo goa trance, typicall prog, dark or full on, because that was the reason why I moved to other genres. It doesn't have to sound "all new" but it shouldn't be formulaic either. tracks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyX7npGb4Qk I know this track isn't revolutionary but it's not as categorisable as many others these days. Hope you can help me out (-:
  3. First track is "Butch - Amelie (Format B remix)" Third track is "Seth Troxler [feat. Matthew Dear] - "Hurt" (Martinez Dark Soul Remix)" or Original Mix.

  5. Stephan Bodzin. I know his music is more on the minimal/tech side but I think you'll like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEpuPShTJ40
  6. Boris Blenn made some nice minimal tracks: Boris Blenn - Resonation http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DTOgJr5n00
  7. Blue Planet Corporation - Digital Forward EP
  8. Madvillain is another favourite of mine. The beats are more FlyLo/experimental like, but sometimes it's hard to understand the lyrics http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weWTuvdL-LQhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpaonSDPw7Y
  9. Lately I'm really into hip hop again. Can you recommend me any good hip hop? Mostly I listen to "underground" or instrumental Hip Hop. Electronica crossovers like Flying Lotus are also welcomed. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRGFH7WkXbEhttp-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=orx265IXrlc Flying Lotus beat is awesome! Music to drift away while your stoned... eMC is also quite nice, even though some tracks on the album doesn't do it for me. , ,

  13. I'm with @reyu. It looks like the time is over for the old producers like Tristan, Laughing Buddha, Dickster and Aphid Moon. They seem to stuck in the same sound four years now. The Fearsome Engine Album was also a disappointment for me (with some exceptions). Here some good examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOuZtPoypvI&feature=related______________http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h65J85FmOXY&feature=related
  14. Nice suggestions! Thanks mate

  16. Minilogue is also one of those quality Artists, but I think most of you know them anyway The evolution of their music is very interesting. Their first tracks released in 2002 was some kinda progressive house/trance mixture ( ) and till 2006 they continued with some melodic tracks (Certain Things Around You, Leloo. After that they got more influenced by tech house/minimal but still kept their melodic elements (Leopard, , ). With their Album "Animals" they also changed their style a bit (apart from their ambient CD), getting more groovy and tribal (Doiicie A, Snake Charmer, Mr Mustafa, My Teenager Gang). From 2009-2011 their tracks (mostly remixes) got softer, longer (over 15 min. sometimes) and more atmospheric ( , , ).

  18. Pantha Du Prince is one of my favourite artists from the "Minimal" genre. I like his most recent album the most: His remix of Animal Collectives "Peacebone" is also nice: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrQDzpWjeiI I recently discovered Robert Babicz and he has become another favourite of mine. His music isn't limited to minimal only and most of his tracks are some kind of cross-over. Here's a small collection of his best tracks: Acid House with some nice pads. Awesome melody with a sad and happy feel to it (sounds weird but I don't know how to describe it a other way) Robert Babicz - Pink Trees reminds me a bit of some 80's stuff... Beautiful Downtempo/Breaks track. Melodic Tech/Breaks Track.
  19. These two are my favs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dgnos8i-8pM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ommyna5e5yg
  20. According to the samples the album has nothing to do with "Psytrance". Sounds more like Prog or Tech House to me.
