  1. I absolutley agree with you on this subject and i can imagine how hard was back than to make some music and how equipment was expensive, but we also must know that we are living in the digital age and all nice stuff (virtual instruments, various software, tutorials and manuals, written experiences, video material, audio material) can be easily found on the internet and it's available to everyone. Same thing can be applied to music itself, I'm sure that 15 or maybe 20 years ago finding good music was real pain in the ass, and now we got Internet and we practicly have acess to all that stuff from our home and chair, either you're buying CD's, buying digital formats or just downloading music. Nice thing is a fact that music now can be published, promoted and presented much easier and faster. Hopefully we'll all continue using thoose adventages in a positive way.
  2. Reading all thoose comments one more time confirmed my toughts earlier. These (different) opinions, feedbacks and guidelines will help for sure in future of this sub-genre, I'm sure that many artists and publishers are reading this topic and hopefully they'll find some good advices posted here. The good thing is that some of you mentioned core-problem of this genre from a view of outsider (person who doesn't follow this kind of music and releases often) and you posted your honest opinions. Some of you doesn't like that similarity with old-school goa trance, but hey this is evolution and evolution needs TIME and newschool goa trance or call it modern goa trance is a young boy who just got his first boner. If you take a look at newschool/neogoa releases in last 6 years you will see that maybe cca 80-100 albums/compilations were published on CD's and that is a number which in progressive trance, fullon psytrance or even darkpsy genre is presented in maybe 1 year period. So what we got here? Maybe the only scene in psychedelic trance which isn't destroyed by mass production, a bunch of releases published and few houndreds of artists. Few months ago, one dude on our local psytrance forum posted some nice comparation between nowdays psytrance scene and he mentioned that this sub-genre (newschool/neogoa) is the only sub-genre which kept that ''underground spirit''. Let's see what happens when we got perhaps 80 CD releases per year in this kind of music. There will be a lot of new artists and a lot of new publishers, more people will probably know about this and music quality will be reduced with mass production, maybe than we will appriciate more what we got now. I'm not saying that every newschool release is super/good/decent, it's not, there is a lot of bad/unfinished/repetative releases aswell, but if you look at a global picture, than I'm sure that in period of 6 years this kind of music brought some albums and compilations which will be in 10-20 years true classics of genre. I think that people back in 90's also did not liked every single release and probably they also bitched about a lot of releases. Unfortunaley they experienced something different: hiper-production, a bunch of releases and a rise of new sub-genres. I hope that this 2nd generation of goa trance music won't experience thoose things and that future of genre itself gonna be bright and rich. Thoose are some of my opinions about this subject
  3. He's doing Euro-trance tunes lately. 2008. - CD's 12 | Digital 9 2009. - CD's 17 | Digital 10 2010. - CD's 13 | Digital 26 2011. - CD's 9 | Digital 9 Labels: 1) Suntrip 2) Cronomi 3) Sita (even it's more nitzho-goa) 4) Phototropic 5) Ezel-Ebed 6) Dimensional
  4. New Liquid Flow track ''Projection'' can be found >> here <<
  5. Speaking of free goa trance releases, I agree that we all should take even more care and deliver even more quality music and progress in direction of serious releases with professional mastering, artworks and quality music. But on the other side, it is hard job, I know that because I experienced what is like to lose money on every single release (yeah, we got some expenses too) and how hard task is to collect good tunes for V/A. Sometimes I wish I can afford better terms to artists which are part of Neogoa storyline, and that's why I'm/Neogoa gonna probably quit with free music next year. But, and there is always but...this: Can be found on some CD releases aswell and I'm sure that free scene so far brought a lot of quality music, projects like Blackstarrfinale, PharaOm, Sky Technology, Arronax (to name a few) are greatest examples of quality goa trance music and that's why I think that people ALWAYS appriciate more real stuff on CD when they spend 10 Euros and pay for it than something that can be found for FREE on the internet. This is just my opinion about free goa trance music and I always try to bring out honest opinion, and I'm aware that we all need more improvement, but also I think that we all brought do daylight some really interesting and (in my opinion) great stuff aswell.
  6. I was sarcastic, just go through Pleiadians topic and you'll see why. Never tought that Neogoa is special genre, and never said that, but when you say: ''Oh this stuff is one of the best newschool/neogoa tunes I've heard this year'', there comes someone with: ''OMFG, how can you say neogoa/newschool goa for Goa trance music?''. Offcourse it's goa trance, but it's modern goa trance, that has been developed through different technology, by different generation of artists, labels and followers. That is such a simple thing and there is a still a bunch of people who can't accept that. Pitty. www.neogoa.tk / Goa Info section: The exact birth date of neogoa cannot be determined, but what we can use to mark the first steps into neogoa are the publishers (labels) which started to promote and release the very first new school goa trance music by a new school pioneer artists. One of those was a label from Finland, Tranceform Records, which released the first neogoa album called Anima Mundi, written by Ethereal back in 2003. Besides them, there was a Greek based label called Unicorn Music, which released a few goa trance and nitzhonot releases during the same year. One year later, a Belgian label Suntrip Records published their first album: Filteria - Sky Input, which helped the label to build the foundations of neogoa sound, and to present itself as a pure new school goa trance publisher. We can go even more in past and find some interesting stuff from Cygnetic Records, but I don't think that they're Neo-. Speaking of style itself, well I dig this kind of music the most so my reply won't be objective, even if we gonna speak about Nitzho stuff, which a lot of people consider a -bit chessy. For me, this type of music is the most psychedelic stuff around and I'm enjoying it (newschool stuff).
  7. What is Neogoa I tought it was some music genre but after reading some posts here on Psynews few weeks ago I decided not to mention that term as a genre clasification. Someone should be nice and explain us what is that Neogoa or Newschool Goa term anyway? Yeah, 5 serious labels and 15 releases per year.
  8. One of the most beautiful epic tunes that I've heard in last few years. It's blend of ambient music and intelligent techno/trance sounds. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VTxF-FwNGk&feature=youtu.be
  9. This is probably one of the best Croatian electronic music producers and his latest tunes are real masterpieces so I'm not gonna writte about him, just check his discogs page (and read bio) LINK and listen!!! to this beautiful track, it's blend of ambient music, techno and trance, and it's pure journey into intelligent electronica. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VTxF-FwNGk&feature=youtu.be
  10. Full artwork for Trinodia's full lenght:
  11. This one is gonna be one of my fav. albums in 2011. really nice goa trance music with orginal touch. All the best to Trinodia and UAF Records, hope to see more interesting stuff like this one
  12. Agreed, Sky Technology really stands out from nowdays goa trance, he got unique style and his music i trully psychedelic. I would add one more goa trance act - Blackstarrfinale. Same thing like Sky Technology, very unique approach to goa trance and that's what is important to me.

    V/A - Erta Alé

A holocron, short for holographic chronicle, was an organic crystal-lattice device, in which the Jedi of old stored phenomenal quantities of data, as well as the holocron's gatekeeper. The Sith also had their own form of holocron technology, and they seem to predate the Jedi in using the technology by at least three thousand years. It's from Star Wars movie. More about it at wookiepedia As always great and interesting review.
  14. Trust me, there isn't such a thing like Dark Metal. Atmospheres can be dark in metal especially in black, doom, drone, goth metal, but as a genre Dark Metal never existed.
  15. Part 01:26 - 02:10 really sounds nice. Actually this style isn't my cup of tea and never liked some reworks of classics but this one got potential (just like Dickster's Vimana which is my favorite remix). Looking forward to check out finished version!
  16. Dark metal as a genre doesn't exist. You got pretty much darker stuff in metal music like industrial/goth/black/death metal, but never heard something like dark metal.

no one mentioned this bad-ass TV show IMDB info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0944947/
  19. This: and this: One of my favorites from last year. To be honest, I'm not into darkpsy too much but Cybernetika's vision of that genre is something special and full respect for publishing this masterpiece for free! Can't wait to hear more
  20. Nova Fractal's Common Cold track from latest EP remixed by another upcoming Croatian goa trance artist Christian Wolf. Check out full track at Soundcloud http://soundcloud.com/christian-wolf/nova-fractal-common-cold
  21. ma05683: No, my mathematical knowledge is horrible, lol, but as Simon mentioned some fractal generators and programs already doing that and in my case that is Ultrafractal (version 4). But to be honest here, process isn't that math-based because I don't use Ultrafractal for compilcated fractals and just for basic layer/colour scheme. Whole magic happens in Photoshop. Speaking of text, well that's small secret
  22. Glad you like it Here is a new work, cover art for Psychowave EP
  23. Artist: Psychowave Album: Sunshine Reborn EP Label: Neogoa Release date: 15.05.2011. Format: Digital Website: Neogoa | Psychowave Samples: Soundcloud Download: Here Our journey continues…this time we’re visiting the beautiful land of the samba and introducing a fresh Brazilian project Psychowave. This is Natan Bueno, a 24 year old producer from São Paulo. His first contact with music happened when he was 8 years old, after he received his first electric guitar from his father Saulo Wanderley, a musician and one of the pioneers of computer music in Brazil. Six years later he started to work as a roadie with some reggae bands in Brazil and soon after he played his first liveshows as guitarist in a local band. It wasn't until 2006 that he became involved in electronic music when he attended his first psytrance parties. Two years later the Psychowave project was founded. His main influence and inspiration comes from old school psytrance and goa trance music. He tries to merge deep vintage atmospheres from the past with new sound design possibilities. Psychowave music is perfect for dancefloor journeys and it’s filled with trippy soundscapes. So far he has released an EP in the beginning of 2010 and appeared on one compilation. Neogoa now delivers fresh Brazilian psychedelia with Sunshine Reborn EP– an acid driven goa trance release which will make you dance under the warm rays of Sun.
