  3. I'm still pretty new to psy..when I said I like CPU, this is the only album I've ever heard of theirs...looking on discogs, it looks like there are other CPUs?? Maybe those are the crap ones? I love the sample of Flea in Fear and Loathing, "What's the trouble"
  4. For what it's worth, this is the CPU album that I know and love Come on, it's not bad... I'll be checking out some of the stuff recommended here, thanks.
  5. Well, he sold me a dime bag once, so... Just kidding, probably a safe bet.
  6. See that's like backwards to my experience..although I can't really say that because I missed Ott when he was in town recently. But, Bluetech I saw and was a little disappointed because he didn't play anything I knew (Elementary Particles, Prima Materia, Sines and Singularities) although the Ott live set I do know of (Live at Camp Bisco VI) was dank.
  7. That's pretty cool though! Most people can't claim a bd like that, that kicks friday the 13th's ass.
  8. I started this retarded thread just before I read yours...I guess I should have put it here
  9. ...11:11:11, 11/11/11 in 999 days and I figured that out at 3:33.....does this mean anything, no. Goodnight.
  10. Nice, I think my bud has that.. Blumenkraft is rad. This is a trivia thread, right? Check this out, Jim DeKorne on page 110 of his Psychedelic Shamanism: In 1976, a small book, Psilocybin Magic Mushroom Grower's Guide, was published under the unlikely pseudonyms of O.T. Oss and O.N. Oeric, names allegedly chosen so that their publication would appear in bibliographies immediately ahead of the works of psychedelics researcher, Jonathan Ott. It is now public knowledge these authors were Terence and Dennis McKenna. This was apparently regarder by the authors as a moral act, a way to liberate people from the sleazy capitalism of street dealers and empower them to form a shamanic alliance with the mushroom itself.
  11. "My Name Is Jonas" - Weezer - Weezer Blue Album Yes, I intend to listen to this album for the first time since the mid-90's !!
  12. Ding ding ding we have a wiener, I mean a winner
  13. Q: Which artist shares his name with that of a famous ethnobotanist/psychedelic researcher?
  14. Shameless plug for head-fi.org.
  15. You can find the image here. If you open the image in a new window, you can get it at full size.
  16. Au contraire, mon frere...I was just mentioning who I've heard--how I got here, so to speak. So I've checked out some Doof, Pleiadians, CPU (which I'm kind of into right now), um, Man With No Name, Solar Fields...guess what, I love it all! GIVE ME MORE~!~!~! Oh yeah, on my emusic saved for later: X-Dream, Elysium, Space Cat, Sandman, Astrix, Electro Sun, Vibe Tribe, Ubar Tmar, Chilled C Quence, Gong, Evan Marc, Eat Static, Saafi Brother, Goloka, Bassnectar, Michelle Adamson ..sorry too lazy(read: high) to put the album names:)
  17. Nice..I got to spend some time with Ray Samuels at a headphone meet I organized about a year ago through head-fi. He had all his amps and headphones, like balanced HD600 and balanced Grado PS1s, pretty cool. I think he was using a Meridian CDP. I unfortunately just saw some talk that some of his products may contain some design flaws, but I think it had more to do with his desktop amps, not portable. I wish I could point you towards the thread, but you can probably find it on head-fi pretty easiliy. Oh, come to think of it, here's some pics of him and his stuff before people showed up: ..which also makes me want to renounce all this iPod-bashing going on within this thread. iPods are actually regarded by people who know what they're talking about as producing very good sound quality. They sound pretty good unamped with a good pair of low-impedance headphones. If you chose to bypass their internal DACs and other innards, with a nice line-out adapter and a portable amp--like the one Pedro mentioned--you'd be hardpressed to find better sound for under a few thousand dollars. And, it's good to hear that the compression issue isn't as endemic here as it is with pop music.
  18. They're playing here in Boulder in a couple days but I know it's the Vicious Delicious tour which scares me a bit. I love IM, but VD is definitely not my favorite album. Anybody seen this show? Is it live vocals and guitars the whole time because that would disappoint me. Thanks
  19. "Haight Street Freak" - CPU - Central Processing Unit
  20. "Weird On A Monday Night" - Younger Brother - A Flock of Bleeps
  21. Reminds me of when the guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen teamed up with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra
