I think heaven´s tears was a bit to repetative for my taste, but thats a bit of topic and i know it wasnt the whole track, just a teaser but it was the same melody pattern on repeat. And as always, audio realism bassline, some albino sounds etc. + it tryes to sound like astral but it just dont IMO. Astrals sound was bigger, deeper real TB-303 real SH-101, Jupiter, Juno etc Albino or Audio Realism just dont do the same thing. This pandemonium album on the other hand is original it dont try to immitate something that has been done Its a new style blending together elements from goa, nitzho, full on. Thats why i think a lot of people dont like it. And i dont blame anyone, nitzho can be very over the top sometimes.. and i wonder how this album would have sounded with normal goa kicks. I my self is not the biggest fan of nitzho, but i like the goa elements in this album. :drama:

I think this album deserves better then to be bashed like this, look at this album from a musical point of view,listen to the use of diminished chords etc thats not something anyone can do. For me this has very good arrangements applying real music theory to "goa" it has like verses and choruses, hooks, bridges etc listen to the melodies they talk! Anyone who has been on acid and has some form of passion for art or music would be able to comprehend whats going on here. And dont listen to it in one run, let the music grow on you. For me the pad/string work in the Pandemonium! track is just my type of music i cant really explain why but i connect to it. For some people to make one good track like any track on this album is really difficult because they follow some trial and error pattern were they sometimes hit jackpot and sometimes got no luck at all, here Filipe clearly shows that he knows his formula by now. But anyways each and everyone has their taste i wont blame anyone for not appreciating it but i would definately want to read a review by Jon Coco or someone who can do a bit more indepth review of this one. Also have in mind that this album was made quite a while ago. If you think all tracks here were similar Stryder then i wonder what you thought of the older MFG albums and Astral Projection? They used the same patches all over their albums, creating their signature sound.

Not really, the CD format is older then the Minidisc format.. its more likely that the mp3 players made the Minidisc format Disappear. Probably in combination with the broader availability of mp3 via p2p networks. And about Vinyl having the best full sound i dont know since i havent done any research in that. But my ears and common sense would say that it is probably wrong because what i hear with my ear is that the CD has way more clear sound.

For me the best format ever was the Minidisc, because they were small in size and didnt get scratched very easy. The Vinyl still has its charm i like the analogue sound of it.

Opus Iridium had an ambient CD as well right? And im not sure if the Younger Brother album counts as 100% downtempo since it had some more uptempo tracks as well if i remember correct, I just liked the slower ones so i havent really cared about listening to the others.
